  1. Thought De Gea would have been a decent shout. Been at the club long enough. Perhaps the leadership qualities that are required of a captain (understated these days?) aren't present in De Gea. Maybe Mata as well. The fact it's been given to Maguire already goes to show that Utd have lacked/been lacking a proper leader for some time. I know there's the unhappiness at the board to explain some things about Utd right now but it could explain why some things on the pitch haven't been going great either - there's no character like you had with the likes of Keane, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rooney etc. Instead you have tits like Jones, Bailly and Fred to get you through
  2. Always been the case any part of your body can score that can be adjudged offside. I wouldn't even say the rules were obscure. More just that they probably weren't as emphasised before VAR could check them when goals are in question. Or the new handball rule (for attackers leading to goals or defenders outside of their 'silhouette'). Also never seen fingernails been excused. A couple of occasions it's 'armpits' (which is fucking stupid if called offside) or 'toenails'.

That's so cool. Especially that he's taken the time to keep in touch with you too.
  4. Good - improvement was required in the usage of VAR/pitch-side monitors and now I hope we'll see it. I hope it's used wisely and shrewdly though - not for offsides as that shouldn't require an on-pitch referee to verify. Should be used for red-card incidents and handballs or potential penalty calls etc.

I know it's UK-based (if you become that way inclined to visit...) but my parents went to York for a weekend and absolutely loved it. (temperature may let you down on that one though!) Contrastingly, but altogether still great, they've been to Seville for a few days. Cheap flights and decent accommodation and a beautiful city to match. Neither were an anniversary trip but a nice holiday away at not an expensive cost.
  7. Terrible idea and obviously purely instigated by UEFA for how much money it can gain. Thankfully Premier League clubs opposed to it.
  8. I remember when this fucker always used to score against us.
  9. Yeah. Tenner on 31/12?
  10. I'm not underestimating how good they are. If anything I'm complimenting your squad depth which Klopp is able to get the best out of. And also I was weighing it up against what Palace would miss - that was my initial point as they'd miss more important players considering they have more key players missing and also probably have less adequate replacements.
  11. As in still get results? What else would it mean
  12. Palace probably actually suffer the most from it. Their players are more pivotal when you look at their importance to the club - Schlupp, Ayew, Kouyate, Zaha. Liverpool could get by without Mane & Salah. Palace will really suffer without those players. Palace & Villa (if they're still in the division) will both have 4 players missing.
  13. yeah that reaches outcry on the rage barometer for me.
  14. Yep - we lost Mahrez in 14/15 & 16/17 and Slimani in 16/17. Been happening to several clubs.
