  1. Reckon lose a few more games and continue to play turgid football. Think a lot may depend on where you may be at certain points in the season. Like you say 9th is about right compared to the negative press associated with OGS and how/where Utd are at right now. But if on Jan 1st after a busy Xmas period you find yourself 14th for example, and only 1 point above relegation, maybe the axe begins to fall. Find yourself in 8/9th this time next month and is it that bad? The other thing is probably that Man Utd don't want to fork out millions on compensation 1) for OGS if they sack him and 2) to prise a manager away from another club. Who knows - perhaps Man Utd are just waiting for the right person to be available and until that happens, Solskjaer is safe. He doesn't seem to have proverbially lost the dressing room just yet otherwise you wouldn't really be picking up many points as you have done. Getting knocked out of the Europa League may signal the end.
  2. Don't think this is true. Luiz marginally improves a defence made up of Chambers, Holding, Sokratis, Mustafi... That's not a top 4 defence and it's that kind of defence which really holds you back. I like players like Torreira, Guendouzi for your midfield but as you say, no-one really showing anything good in this team.
  3. 7 games without a win for Arsenal. Longest since January 1992.
  4. Anyone ever watch Derry Girls? Binged the 2 series in the last week. Was in fits of laughter at some stages. Really liked it.

Felt like I was back at uni today when at work. A couple months ago at one of our team meetings I suggested we do some pre-Xmas after-hours rent visits to see if we can engage with our tenants who we sometimes can't get hold of during the day in the week or are generally hard to contact. Couple weeks ago we chose this week to do the visits, specifically Tuesday and Thursday. We sent some stuff to Comms team to get some flyers/leaflets made out offering help/financial assistance we can offer etc. Due to illnesses and personal reasons, they were cancelled on Monday and I sent an e-mail out saying to re-arrange for the same evenings next week instead. Didn't get much uptake on it and there were some tentative responses. Then one of the team members literally suggests the exact same thing today i.e. next week we should do some visits and use the leaflet campaign and target people before Christmas to prioritise rent etc. She was one of them who said she couldn't do it next week as well so right now I'm so confused. But now she's trying to organise it. Like being back in uni when you do the work and someone else tries to take credit for it
  6. Not sure if it's Johnson/Tories playing hard-to-get or how hard the BBC have actually tried. I suspect it's the former...
  7. Yeah saw that a few hours ago. Quite shocked really and didn't think he was as old as 59. RIP.
  8. Then the teaching needs to change/improve. And that takes time. We can all look back in hindsight and say this should have been done before. Maybe it was but not to a good enough standard. So you learn from it going forward...
  9. 45 goals scored in National League so far and still 20+ mins to go in all the games.
  10. @CaaC (John) we can safely presume that for the next 12 months there'll be rain in Scotland
  11. @LFCMadLad the key point/word is 'implemented'. Yes it may have been thought about for years but it's actually only been in practice for 6 months. Everything else before that is all, as you say, research or theory.
  12. Yeah ignore me. I thought his Wiki might not have been updated.
  13. Wait is that the Dale Jennings that was once of Bayern 'fame'!?
  14. Absolute madness how she kept trying to defend it by repeating the same bloody thing. 'because it's more!' 'But how? How is it more?' 'Because there's going to be 50,000 more!' 'It's 31,000 more and 19,000 retained'. 'it's 50,000 more nurses'. 'How?' 'there's 50,000 more nurses'
  15. You're taking the wrong part of the move in to account. It was Jimenez who was called offside, not Jota. Jimenez was not onside by 3 yards and if anything it just looked really tight. Obviously it's shit that they got some wrong? I'm not saying otherwise. But all you seem to do is moan about the wrong decisions as if VAR never gets anything right.
  16. @LFCMadLad what say you of the decisions that VAR got right this weekend? Watford vs Burnley - Barnes fouled in the box, missed by the ref. Play continues until there's a stoppage. Incident looked at. Decision correctly overturned and penalty to Burnley given. Palace vs Liverpool - Tomkins goal. VAR check shows Ayew pushes Lovren. Goal correctly disallowed due to a foul/infringement in the build-up to the goal. Brighton vs Leicester - Vardy penalty missed. Maddison heads in. VAR check for encroachment shows Maddison was just inside the box and therefore header is disallowed. Correct decision for penalty to be retaken.
