Are we planning to run any sort of F1 predictions/fantasy game for the new season?  @Tommy @Cannabis @Stan @RandoEFC @Storts

    good idea.

I'm happy to run it with ideas on how it can be done.

I'm leaning more to predictions as opposed to fantasy game as it would be simpler to run; but that's coming from someone who won't be able to watch each race.

like in the Bundesliga prediction league we can predict the following before the start of the season:
Who will win the Drivers Championship?
Who will win the Constructors Championship?
    Most races won?
    Most DNFs?
    Most podium finishes?

And then have certain points for guessing the top 3 in each race?
    - 3 points for correctly guessing the winner of each race
    - 2 points for correctly guessing the runner-up each race
    - 1 point for correctly guessing 3rd placed

    - 3 bonus points for correctly guessing all in the right order.

Open to feedback or suggestions :)

  2. not a fan of the McLaren orange car. Have always associated silver/black or even white for a McLaren car so hard to get my head around their car being plastered in orange, whether there's a sponsor to fill up space or not.

    Force India's is horrible.

Toro Rosso have done alright to make that blue/red somewhat stylish.

Like the Alfa Romeo, as well.

Pictures are grim, looks as though the surrounding buildings are totally destroyed.

What's the place that's on fire, an industrial estate, shops, flats?

News reporting that the building in question is a Londis shop. If there's any negligence on the company's part expect them to get absolutely rinsed.

people on our Leicester football forum are saying that it's a Polish shop that was undergoing renovations and had changed hands a few times in past couple of years.

There's a bar and a restuarant next to this place that's on far and I'm guessing with it being Sunday night there's bound to have been people in there. Hope they're all okay.

In all honesty I don't know any more than anyone else as I've just gotten all my info from Twitter. Had no idea it's practically flattened a shop though. That's worrying.

even more worrying if there's flats above it.

I don't know if nearby buildings have been affected but you'd think it'd be a similar layout to the one that exploded.

Hopefully no-one has died or been seriously hurt but it doesn't sound/look good :(

  5. surprised @Toinho hasn't been on here about Perth's win!

1-0 down after Arzani's goal at the end of the first half.

Veteran Kilkenny scores in the 85th minute to equalise and then they go on to win in the 97th minute through Adam Taggart. The chance of play-offs for Perth still unlikely but not a total impossibility.

I've just snapped two fingers. I was using a pick axe to rip up floor boards and must have hit steel, the shock went right through my hand and literally snapped two fingers, they are bent as fuck. Problem is, what do I do now for money? I will be out of work for atleast a month and I work through agencies, which means no sick pay, as far as I know. Also if I am eligible for a claim, that will take too long to come through.

I'm supposed to have gone straight to the infirmary, but fuck that, I need a nice spliff first(if I can even roll it), luckily its the 2 middle ones, so I can just about type.

i love the fact you care about this place to tell us this more than going to the infirmary as well. Top class commitment :D

It's called an Oxford comma, you nonce. It separates the items on the list. For instance: 'Hall and Oates, and Madonna played tonight's concert.'  That states that Hall and Oates are one item and Madonna is another. If the sentence were: 'Hall, Oates and Madonna' it would imply either two things; firstly that there are three individual acts, or that Hall performed and then Oates and Madonna performed.
