Glad to see ricochet in aew. He had a good match against Kyle fletcher. Not to OTT with the high flying. He's not everyone's cup of tea but I like that style. As long as it makes a certain amount of sense. He got a good reception at all in even though everyone knew he was coming I think it's generally expected that Shane mcmahon will join aew soon. I think he would be good in a backstage role and could maybe help with some of the issues aew has. It has got a lot better this year. Dynamite is good, collision is very much a secondary show. I don't want to see to much change though personally. Aew was made for fans who wanted an alternative to wwe and has lots of fans who like independent wrestling. I wouldn't want it to change to much from that. And it would be a bit unfair to turn your back on the fans that made the company. As far as I'm aware aew isn't a plc and Tony Khan could even run it as a loss if he wanted to. Not saying he should but he doesn't have to answer to share holders so isn't under pressure to make the money some companies are .

It was the right decision. I think it's more the fact that a Brighton player wasn't sent of for the same thing in the same game. You get some referees who are more lenient with these things. If it was a different referee in a different game I would understand. I give referees the benifit of the doubt more than anyone and even I don't get that one

Don't entirely know why we've done this but I'm going to assume arteta knows better than me -

Is it slapped when you loose by 3 and twatted when you loose by 4 ? -
@Rick I'm half way through terminator zero. I've found it quite entertaining. Very pessimistic. I've seen all the terminator films and most of the Sarah Connor chronicles and it is by far the most pessimistic. To the point where I can only watch a few episodes or I get depressed. Good though overall.

@Dave. @Devil-Dick Willie When someone found out I was going to wembley to watch wrestling they asked me if I knew it wasn't real. I can't believe some people still think wrestling fans don't know that

Does anyone understand how the draw works because I haven't got a clue? I'm not sure if you play teams from other groups or something? -

I was hoping bodo glimt from Norway would get through but they didn't. I became interested in them just because they're name sounds like something from star wars. They were actually in the Norwegian second division and now they have one a couple of Norwegian league titles. What's nice is they have done it without outside investment. They're not like a man city they are a proper football club who have had a structure which has made them successful without loads of investment -
It's hard for me to rate all in. There was a light under the screen which meant I could hardly see it. Gonna watch it tonight and then I'll have more of an idea. The atmosphere was great for the main event though. And due to not knowing if danielson was going to retire or not it almost felt like a real sport. I went to dynamite and collision as well so that's a lot of time I have spent at wrestling shows this week

The problem is with a lot of these shows they are expensive and take a long time to make. The director said it was very stressful. Hopefully it will be good though. Asian TV normally has good writing in my experience

Ha ha it's both your cup finals isn't it mate? My friend is a cardiff supporter and she has told me how intense the rivalry is. Considered a higher risk game than West ham v Millwall -
Match quality has never been the issue with aew. The problems have been more with story telling and character development. I wondered what kind of reaction osprey would get in Wales. But wow what a reaction. That was almost hulk hogan 2003. And mjf, I wanted to jump the barrier and punch him. He's so good at winding up the crowd.

@Bluebird Hewitt. That was a long night

It should be. I'm going to it. Do feel a bit conned as it was advertised as two shows where as its actually one and a wild card match but still would of bought a ticket anyway. Got all in on Sunday as well so a lot of wrestling for me this week
-
@Bluebird Hewitt aew is in cardiff on wednesday. Even if you dont watch it it would still be entertaining

@Stan I always remember the Leicester v tranmere final. Tranmere were beating so many premier league teams at that time. You remember that or to young?
-
@Stan. @CaaC (John) lives in Scotland. If it gets to 15 degrees they have a bbq with their tops of Also John how did you manage in australia if you hate the heat?

I'm not sure if parker if a bad championship manager when he has two promotions. I think even with strong squads you wouldn't win the league if you were bad. I don't think he's premier league standard but I don't think he's a bad championship manager. And I think with two promotions it's very understandable that he was given the job

EFL Cup 2024/25 - First Round - 13-14th August, 2024
Gunnersaurus replied to Stan's topic in The Carabao (EFL) Cup
I remember when arsenal played Bradford in 2012 in the league Cup. We lost on penalties. They said Bradford had never lost a penalty shoot out before. So I don't know of you were the first team to beat them on penalties or if they have lost since then. Just a bit of useless information there. May come in useful in a quizz one day
