  1. Is there any point in debating when you lie the whole way through
  2. @Rucksackfranzose What I actually thought just to clarify was that I thought maybe countries didn't see the world cup as a dick swinging contest so much because its just one sport. Usa can say well we havent won the world cup but we dont like football. Where as because the olympics is so many sports they cant really use that excuse
  3. You're probably right now that I think about it. I just think it's a bit strange that China and USA don't put more into it as its such a big competition. They're the two biggest dick swingers in the world @MUFC
  4. Yeah I think so. I suppose its because it's the largest multisport event in the world. I don't think countries see the world cup in the same way. If they did usa would put a lot money into it
  5. I suppose its something where I've seen the positives of it. But a few positives wouldn't be enough to justify millions of people having no job security. I'd have to look into it more. Meanwhile Mel Stride may be attempting to become leader of the conservatives. Stride said there was a mental health culture and that many of the issues aren't real issues that deserve time of. As someone who can't work full time due to mental health, with a history of self harm and anxiety attacks I feel I'm qualified to say. He's talking shit.
  6. Yeah it was the Soviets before wasn't it? You get it other sports. The rivalry between countries can be a way of one country wanting to feel that they are better
  7. He probably will admit it. People like orangecunt have nothing good about them. The less people like that in the world the better.
  8. @Spike you know what orangecunt is referring to when he talks about something that is scientifically false. The difference between gender and biological sex has been explained so many times. If someone doesn't get it now they are choosing not to. And there's no point in debating it.
  9. I think by the time Messi was 17 he was extremely well regarded. By 19 he was considered by many to be the best in the world if I remember rightly. If not second to Ronaldo. I remember when he scored 4 goals against arsenal. Although we went out of the champions league, the disappointment to that came second to the admiration for Messi.
  10. People quite often use the words left wing, right wing etc out of context. However there is an actual spectrum and I'm pretty certain most countries use that same spectrum. The UK conservatives are on the central right of that spectrum, and as I said most use the same spectrum.
  11. True. But I think when you perform at the level he did in the euros at age 16 it's OK to look at some of the all time greats and look at how good they were at that age. And if they weren't as good as him it's OK to speculate he could be the best ever. But there are so many factors that could affect it I agree
  12. I've looked on wikipidia. It's a bit confusing because of the way the league was divided into 2 parts. But it says he was top scorer.
  13. @Dr. Gonzo @Spike I don't know if this is true. But I wouldn't be surprised if it is
  14. Pele was the top scorer in Brazil st age 16 I think. I don't remember Messi being as good at age 16. It's hard to tell but from you have seen do you think could he become the best ever footballer?
  15. Yeah my point is that I don't think trump and his ideology's are as popular and some people think. Like I said he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton. He lost the election to Biden despite Biden not being particularly popular. He probably will win the next election but that doesn't mean he's a popular president. If there was a decent democrat option they would probably win. It's similar to the UK where Starmer isn't particularly popular. He's just better than the alternative. Which isn't hard when the alternative is one of the worst governments in living memory
  16. It's quite interesting when you think about it that when trump won he still lost the popular vote. Trump has been up against two rivals that aren't actually that popular. Hillary Clinton was one of the least popular democrat leaders ever. And he still lost the popular vote to her and obviously lost the second election to Biden. As much are people are worried about trump and his influence. I don't think he has the popularity that some may think he does.
  17. Does anyone think he might forget tomorrow and think he is still running for president

I think it might have been Marilyn vos savant who first discovered it but not to sure
  19. Seems pretty sad to me. I remember reading this post on YouTube about a wrestling show earlier in the year. It was clear the person hadn't watched it but still said it was bad. It just seems some people like to be haters

@nudge I've tagged you in this just because you've probably heard of it and can explain it a bit more. There a paradox called the monty hall paradox. It's really blown my mind. I kind of get it but am having a hard job expressing it if you get what I mean. Especially at 3 o clock in the morning Apparently there was a show with a presenter called monty hall. There would be 3 doors and you would have to guess which door the prize was behind. You would say which door you thought it was. He would open one of the two doors you said you didn't think it was. If the prize wasn't behind that door you would get a chance to stay with your original door or switch to the other door. Now apparently you actually have more chance of winning if you switch. The odds of you getting it right were 1/3. The two doors that you didn't pick had a combined total of 2/3. So if you switch you have more chance because that door was part of the 2/3 odds. I found it easier to understand if it's done with 100 doors. Say you pick one door out of 100 and you get to the final 2. The chances are much higher that your original pick was wrong and that it was one of the other 99 doors which the option you didn't pick is part of.
  22. You ain't naive you know you've cheated. But then so have most clubs just because you can't prove it doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Anyway it's the wrong thread for this.
  23. @Happy Blue Yeah but he may want a new challenge. And when you get chucked out the league for being cheaters the city job won't be so attractive. Anyway as I said I want an English manager so it doesn't matter to me
  24. Isn't mourinho to defensive though? If we want a manager to utilise our attack better is he really the right choice? I do agree with you though. When we had foreign managers before they had never managed in England before and we perhaps a bit past it. Carsley actually did play for Ireland as I'm sure you know but that only because he had an Irish nan and I'm assuming he wasn't good enough for England. That's not a problem for me, I mean I would be eligible to play for Wales and if I was a footballer but not good enough for England but good enough for Wales I would play for Wales
