  1. He is an emergency option if I were to guess, but the sort of connection he has with Liverpool can't go unnoted. You'd be surprised at the power former footballers have in this, especially those with managerial experience. Also, the managerial list is probably massive like most serious clubs. He's on there somewhere, what matters is if he gets into 2nd or 3rd phase which I believe is unlikely, but him being there, I'm very sure he is. The list isn't 4 or 5 managers. They make a huge list and choose a couple candidates that they deem realistic, also trusty agents have a part as well so they don't come out with nothing.
  2. I am not an expert on how Liverpool operate but recruitment is my strong suit. I am not a know it all just because I'm in this, I have strong fields and weak fields, but when it comes to recruitment I know how databases are managed. Gerrard is on the list, but I THINK that he's on low priority. A lot of things can happen in negotiations. The new managers could not accept because they think it's an impossible job to follow Klopp, they can disagree on wages, or simply they could stall the negotiations to focus on other endeavours at least until it's necessary. Gerrard is on the list and I agree he's not good enough but that connection very much exists, I am confident in saying that given he's a club idol/legend and now has some experience in the managerial game.
  3. To be fair, whoever takes over will have a mammoth of a job to take. And I agree, they aren't naive. This is my strong suit in football, and you are 100% right. Going for Gerrard would be a naive move, but he's on the list I guarantee it. If they stall the appointment enough and they lose sight of all their options, he'll be hired. This happens a lot. They have plenty of time, so Klopp has done well by announcing it early for a club he clearly loves, and even smarter if Liverpool knew earlier which is 100% the case.
  4. Which to be honest is already better than the last 30 years for Liverpool managers. As much as I hate the cunt, Rafa did well too but Klopp has outdone him by winning both the league and the CL. It was a big step forward.
  5. I am not an expert on how Liverpool operate but if it's anything like most clubs in the world, I wouldn't rule Gerrard out. It's a very big possibility especially if their options run out.
  6. I'd be worried about hiring Gerrard to be honest, he feels like the inevitable option given how a lot of clubs like to operate.
  7. I'd switch Ostrict with Tiger, since Tiger's are more offensive and quick where as an Ostrich knows how to cover ground. The rest looks good.
  8. Syria are usually a pretty competitive side, they nearly made the WCQ playoffs a few years ago against Australia where the latter had to scrape it, but they still aren't great, I wouldn't call them minnows though.
  9. Syria's starting 9 plays for Alianza Lima. He's actually a very good player and one of the best 9's in Peru but I don't think it's the sort of decent quality Gonzo was referring to in attack.
  10. Syria who have a much better frontline than defence. Sounds like a fun clash that.
  11. I was wondering if Cheetah would be wasted at FB but he'd be like Alphonso Davies. He can work all across his wing. Dolphins would be good at getting penalties given their diving ability.
  12. It was, but posted by Chelsea’s Spanish social media, which actually makes it worse. No idea if it’s still up.
  13. Our big game record is a bit piss but the reason we're in 2nd is because we're beating everyone outside the top 6. Winning those games consistently is keeping us in a promotion spot. I do think we'll maintain a top 2 spot as we still manage to escape defeat even in those big games, but collective play alone won't keep us up should that happen.
  14. I think we all know that mate haha, but the clickbait grind never stops!
  15. Fucking hell he actually did sign for a Bolivian club. Florentin Pogba will play for Always Ready
  16. Love these late career homecomings.
  17. I agree with the first sentence, and our big game record has also been piss to be honest. I wasn't expecting a draw seeing how December went.
  18. How did we look? Game was on TV here in Peru but I had an emergency and couldn't watch.
  19. At home too, fucking hell. Viva international football.
  20. Looks like I was right and wrong at the same time. There are still a lot of low scoring draws which is the norm for AFCON but I was right about the quality looking much, much better than past editions.
  21. How do we tell Chelsea that I don't wake up to an alarm clock with "la Cucaracha"
  22. Sincerely I think it's very likely Qatar retain their title. They've been the best team so far.
  23. In 2019 he was nowhere near as good as he is now, he looks far more developed to a higher standard. Back then it was flashes of talent and he was already on of their better players but he could not win games with just his quality alone.
  24. I am quite behind on European football that I didn't realize Al Tamaari was in France, and it looks like that helped his development. Looks a seriously class player now as opposed to 2019 where it was just raw talent.
