  1. Biden has shown himself to be an irresponsible cop out with the sorts of excuses he's coming out with.
  2. Karl Darlow spent a week in hospital with coronavirus
  3. On a Churchill note, learned the other day that Jan Smuts, Prime Minister of South Africa was the contingency plan to lead Britain in the second world war should Churchill have died.
  4. 2019/20 accounts out. £1.1m furlough scheme money.
  5. Is it mandatory to have a test before you fly back to the UK from an amber country if you are vaccinated or is it only "guidance"? Seeing different wording in different places.
  6. Reality is Ashley thought he'd be gone but Premier League and buyers failed to put evidence up on time so he will be here until at least February. We've cleared a bit off the wage bill and brought no one in.
  7. The forum only takes Wayne Rooney photos. That's by design. It's not a bug.
  8. Deleting emoji's might work if any used. The old one's seem to break any post.
  9. I use an inhaler for hay-fever induced asthma and got that out the cupboard to use for suspected covid last March. Thought it helped a lot back then and have since seen a study showing it can be effective for covid. Don't know if doctors will give them out as they could cause shortage but like Danny said doctor might be able to help there.
  10. Bruce says our transfer policy this summer is to wait for the top 6 to do their business then ask them which of their kids they're willing to let us have on loan.
  11. Seeing a lot of people whose tail's have dropped off since the vaccine. Out and about in this heat its really noticeable that some people still have the sort of base of the tail bone but their tail isn't there. Wonder if that's down to Pfizer or AZ or when you get one of each. I'd recommend anyone getting the vaccinated pays close attention to their balance in the days after. If you're a bit wobbly your tail might have dropped off or be on the way out. God knows how we are all going climb trees to avoid the flood waters after this.
  12. Can we stop calling the hackers Japanese, it's 2021 ffs, use their correct name, Team Rocket
  13. I actually don't think a Labour loss in Hartlepool at this moment in time is necessarily bad or crisis worthy. What is however is the manner of the loss. Labour was always unlikely to win Hartlepool. However the loss should not have been that bad. You've really got to be looking at the ground campaign there and that includes the Tory one, with Johnson turning up twice. Labour sent a known ardent remainer to a 70% leave seat, someone who lost their seat elsewhere in 2019 and had recommended taking NHS services away from Hartlepool. After a year of talk about needing to rebuild trust did a candidate genuinely just get selected because they have Dr in their name and that might land well in a pandemic? People trust doctors. Fuck me. Labour is tactically being destroyed. Absolutely pounded. It is beyond a joke. Can't even get the basics right.
  14. I doubt our hierarchy realise Gattuso's expiring contract is as a manager. They probably think he's backup option if we can't get Willock back.
  15. You're right I remember this being a talking point a long time ago, maybe 2005/2006 time. At the time St James' Park was hostile. Players were booed, moans at misplaced passes were huge. We were one of the first to do it to that ugly extent really and we got a reputation because of that. Then 2 or 3 years later every other set of fans in the country were doing it and we'd toned it right down. Still, we kept our reputation and the likes of Arsenal who turned quite vile for a spell didn't get one at all. You rarely hear Spurs fans chastised for wanting Mourinho out for taking them nowhere and playing dour football.
  16. In New Zealand anyone who enters must be housed in a managed quarantine centre for 14 days. In 4 weeks UK borders open, tens of thousands will move in and out everyday. Variants are coming on a scale which I doubt anyone believes our current surge testing can cope with. It's a game the vaccine holds out.
