  1. If you think about it the new format is anti-ESL in that it will bring more revenue to other clubs around Europe who now get 2-4 more games. Whilst the ESL lot get tired and given that they say this is such a big thing they will start losing more domestically right? I'm in.
  2. Hope the ESL clubs suffer incredible fatigue in the new Champions League. Serve them right for trying to create a 5 a side, 6 minute halves league without us.
  3. You're right I remember this being a talking point a long time ago, maybe 2005/2006 time. At the time St James' Park was hostile. Players were booed, moans at misplaced passes were huge. We were one of the first to do it to that ugly extent really and we got a reputation because of that. Then 2 or 3 years later every other set of fans in the country were doing it and we'd toned it right down. Still, we kept our reputation and the likes of Arsenal who turned quite vile for a spell didn't get one at all. You rarely hear Spurs fans chastised for wanting Mourinho out for taking them nowhere and playing dour football.
  4. In New Zealand anyone who enters must be housed in a managed quarantine centre for 14 days. In 4 weeks UK borders open, tens of thousands will move in and out everyday. Variants are coming on a scale which I doubt anyone believes our current surge testing can cope with. It's a game the vaccine holds out.

A better solution to banning for @Mpache
  6. I couldn't give a toss if they comfortably survive, I'm done with the liar, fraud and fool that he is. Every time he opens his mouth something Trumpian comes out. It'll take a lot more than 36 points to heal this rift. Unless we finish 10th I don't want to hear about how he might have turned his own fuck up around in the space of 2 games. Allan Saint-Maximin shouldn't have to bail out a dogshit display at Burnley.
  7. The aim isn't to buy the club, it's to buy a £3m stake in the club should the club be sold. In other words whoever is going to takeover, if anyone, they would be asked to let the fans own 1%. Arguably pointless lol.
  8. Actually UK decision is based on number of those who are healthy and end up in ICU versus number who will get a blood clot who are healthy. At 30-40 age groups the rate of healthy people ending up in ICU is higher than blood clot. At 20-30 it is the other way around. At 40-50 healthy people in ICU is a lot greater than blood clot risk.
  9. Pledge made. Now we need 6 relegations for this to go through
  10. Already the case when vaccines started UK has jabbed millions with AZ vaccine which might have an efficacy level as low as 10% against the South African variant. The variant with an estimated 2000 cases a day in France. Yet all you hear about is when can we all go on holiday again.
  11. I don't know if it explicitly says it is because of COVID but it may be. The forecast for 2024 before the pandemic for China was higher than what they now forecast 2024 will be. Forecasts get revised all the time and the closer to the time it is forecasting generally the greater the accuracy. Though the IMF have a track record of being as right on as a Steve Bruce press conference.
  12. March 5th. Steve Bruce on Ritchie story “There is a source feeding stuff. It is the most disappointing thing. We are looking into to it to find the culprit." April 4th. Steve Bruce "There's this nonsense about a mole in the dressing room. Blah blah blah" The Donald Trump of football strikes again.
  13. Your anti-Chinese auntie believes China's GDP figures? Really fuck with her head by asking why she thinks their GDP figures would be remotely accurate
  14. I'm not sure there is any point in him coming here to be honest. Unless we went down.
  15. He was good for us in that short spell. Though that was many years ago. Some people don't like him for walking out after relegation. Especially as he seemed to be talking as if he'd stay. Wouldn't be surprised if the club packed his bags for him once we got an offer.
  16. A YouGov poll found 2% of UK are outright Anti-vax. Only Denmark of those polled was lower. The highest was France at 9%. The US was 6%, lower than Germany at 7%. In the same research 9% in the UK said they wouldn't take the vaccine. A whopping 38% of French and 37% of Poles said they wouldn't. The US stood at 27%, joint with Germany. Other social research has linked poor vaccine uptake with low levels of trust in government and institutions. Of major Western nations the UK is a stand out in vaccine uptake and this is likely to do with the relationship the public have with the NHS.
  17. Lol what. He doesn't play under Bruce. Obviously been told he's number 9 next year in the Championship
  18. If you are asking me whether they or the expenses watchdog are giving a public running commentary for Twitter conspiracy theorists of any audit into the Home Office spending, my gut instinct is no.
  19. The National Audit Offices job is to independently do that. Are you saying they are not and therefore it needs an inquiry?
  20. At this stage why would there need to be an inquiry rather than the National Audit Office just doing their job instead? Genuine question.
