  1. If we have to then I guess I prefer Reina to Caballero
  2. He said we'd be leaving it. Manifesto said they'd seek to keep the benefits of the single market. That allowed some Labour politicians and members to campaign as if the single market was still on the table. Someone is ultimately being mugged off, it can't end well. The common sense approach is that we will remain in the single market during a transition period. Not just drop out. Dropping out is the UKIPification of Brexit which some Tories are flirting with. There are cabinet members, broadsheet commetariat and city folk Who are pro transition common sense. A transition will allow for the creation of a proper trade deal whereby the industries that are dependent on the single market will remain in close regulatory consistency with it and the industries that aren't or that we don't want to be close will be outside the single market and free to diversify. Rumour is a transition deal will be concluded after the German election.
  3. Corbyn is a Bennite which is why he finds it easy to leave the EU. He sacked 3 front benchers last night for voting to stay in the single market. If he's not careful the sort of people who equate Brexit with good guys versus bad guys will get very confused how good guy Jeremy wants to leave and isn't doing it through gritted teeth.
  4. Sure, if you are a fan of money laundering, social cleansing, pollution and riding bicycles Away from that for a second, he would be a completely antagonistic appointment, the ultimate symbol of a divided country. Boris is popular among successful older people who vote Tory or are willing to swing Tory now and again, who voted in the referendum based on very middle England attitudes about liberal democracy and the way power should operate, people who saw that the leaders of the EU and the national leaders within it were uncompromising and refused to make amendments for their objective and subjective concerns, Boris and the other senior Tory's gave them confidence to vote leave. On the opposite side is an angry remain vote and a bitter media commentariat who are getting incredibly wound up at the mere presence of Boris anywhere. Particularly over the bus, people who channel a sense of being robbed off the back of Boris lies. His presence would fuel an intense rhetoric campaign against him and the conservative party that would make May look like the light option. These two sides largely seem unaware of each other. There's little point in any new leader before Brexit is done because there's currently very little objective analysis. The whole Brexit period is just going to be a chorus of tweets, media coverage etc that offers absolutely nothing but are the expression of despair, over reaction, emotive hype and some Tory fudge thrown in there.
  5. Why do Juncker, Tusk and friends think the citizen deal is not satisfactory? I've searched and searched and can't find anything of substance. The press are guessing ffs. It's simply not good enough to throw an emoticon reaction out there without explaining what is wrong. That is crap designed to prevent public participation in political life, as long as enough people lap it up they will get away with it. Calm down Nick Clegg We will be going transitional, EFTA/EEA, what the experts who actually thought this through for years proposed. The govt are just taking the long way round to that position. Mainly because low information Tories need to get up to speed, the government needs to manage the feckless UKIP brigade and the insincere remainiacs putting people off the transition.
  6. Love the wording of that... "as much as £4m"
  7. Was on my jollies so only posting now, but Graham Carr has left by mutual consent. A man who got us a couple of good players from France then got carried away with it.
  8. They should set up a single legal system and single currency to keep the peace
  9. We don't give young players a chance so he would be better off with you, but I think this lad is actually after money on the basis that we were expected to lose him to Man City.
  10. Tasered on suspicion of carrying a knife
  11. Linked with Lucas from Liverpool for £4m Is this the end of Colback
  12. Bobby's first home game. Shearer made Ruud Gullit look a right mug.
  13. He was good in the first half of the season although he wasn't consistent so we were struggling to find his correct position. Interestingly enough the big no no for us was when he played deeper, the game went by him and he couldn't keep up with it. Since you dominate possession that's probably not an issue you've experienced. He was dropped under Rafa because he did the stereotypically Dutch international thing and gave up when the going got tough
  14. The end of one of the greatest dynasties in football
  15. Gouffran has had his spell of being a load of shite in the Premier League to be fair. But he had a decent season in the Championship. A 1 year reward contract wouldn't be too bad but it would be an indication that we wont be moving forward in the transfer market as fast as we'd like. It might even me no new winger coming in
  16. He obviously wants away, but I don't know if he'd make the sideways step to Man City just for some extra money

  18. The quality of the game will be diminished as players will physically and psychologically be under par. That's not right in the grand scheme of the competitiveness of the actual group.
  19. It's daft having games this late. The season finished ages ago. Most players are on holiday but the international players are made to keep training an extra couple of weeks just to play 1 qualifier
  20. It was on Channel4 News that he actually got hammered in the votes by party members, losing by thousands. But because of the way their system works the members are weighted to 25% of the total and the the rest is made up of the politicians and councillors votes.

  22. Arsenal fans could do with a bit of what Liverpool have done to theirs. Instead of Dalglish spending fortunes on Andy Carroll they could get George Graham back to spend fortunes on Troy Deeney. That will lower their expectations so they can enjoy 4th place again.
