  1. Great match. Wish Pant got that century. Australia will bitch and moan, but honestly, if Pant stayed out even half a session longer or Vihari hadn't randomly bust his hammy, India win that.

Loved Ashwin DESTROYING Paine as well

Paine "can't wait to get you to the Gabba Ash"
Ashwin "Can't wait to get you guys back to India, we've won 3 series in a row"
    Paine "qwiudidgei5843^%&%^H"
Ashwin then refuses to face up until Paine has finished his outright nasty rant.

  2. Thats probably the game. Good old nohit sharma. One of the most talented batsmen I've ever seen. But just doesn't have the temperament to be a consistent top level test player.

Cheap wicket for Gil and Pujara lucky to be in right now, that was a tight LBW call

There was no way that was out. Back leg, on the crease line, my jaw dropped.

Maybe someone can explain to me why the BCCI and the Indian national team complain about everything all the time?

Because no one has WELCOMED THEM TO SYDNEY YET

  4. That was a horrible decision from the umpire. Glad it got overturned. Had that been clipping, I'd have been furious if I were Pujara.

  5. Obviously India have to bat long to draw the match, but to have a real chance of winning it, its critical that Gill and Rohit bat for a long time, both to see off the new ball, and because they're both dangerous stroke players, who can keep the score ticking over. While Pujara and Rahane are going to be key to getting a draw, a few big innings from players who score at 60-70 runs per hundred balls will be needed for a win.

  6. Just now, Spike said:

Oh I thought de Plessis was actively putting small pieces on the ball to cover damage

Nah, just using lolly spit to shine.

  7. 5 minutes ago, Spike said:

Saffas were rubbing shite on the ball years before that, don't remember when he was chewing on a lolly and was putting pieces on the ball?

Thats very different, and also technically not against the rules. The only reason he got a ban was the high profile nature of the case. You can't use a foreign item to alter the condition of the ball. Faf used a lolly to secrete more saliva, which he then applied to the ball. Which isn't illegal. Unfortunately the ICC is really the 'indian, Australian english cricket council'

Put it this way. In soccer if a player commits a foul they get a yellow card. If you try to break someones legs you get a red. Smith and the boys brought an axe onto the field and tried to decapitate someone.

  8. 3 minutes ago, Spike said:

What nation hasn't ball tampered? If you were to ask the layman no one except Australia but it's ridiculous; just get on with it. As if they aren't picking at the seam everytime they spit on their fingers to 'polish' the ball

Picking at the ball with your finger is illegal, but its one of those unwritten "we all do it, so no harm no foul" things.
Not even dirty bastard Afridi @McAzeem ever brought an object onto the field to tamper with the ball. It was unprecedented when it happened, and was an absolute disgrace.

btw to all the people talking shit about Smith's captaincy during the sandpaper issue, I guarantee you it when down like this

Smith: Daveo mate, I reckon that is illegal
Warner: yeah nah smudge matey don't fucking worry about it, rightyo cobber?
Smith: okay davey, if you say so.
    ....
Warner: Oi Camo mate, I got a job for you...

Smith's personality is that he is good at batting

I think Smith clearly has some form of autism. However, I think it ran much deeper than that. The statement Smith made before Cricket Australia stepped in and magically changed everything, was that "the whole leadership group" knew.

Lehman was an enormous cunt, and would do anything to win. He was in on it. As were the bowlers. Anyone who has ever bowled even 4th grade level knows the condition of the ball and how it changes. If someone tossed me a ball for my second over, I'd know if the seem had been thumbed or not, much less if the fucking ball had been sandpapered xD

I think when everyone writes biographies, theres gonna be some varying reports. The big one I'm looking for is Khawajas. The way CA treats him I think he'll be the one with the whole truth. His vengeance cometh.

  10. I hate Warnes commentary the most tbh. He's the one who has ADD. He's always calling for a change of bowlers, no matter what the situation, just to "keep the game moving"
Hazlewood bowled 4 maidens in a row? "not much going on here boys I'd bring lyon on"
Lyon comes on, bowls around the wicket, cramping up the batsmen "I'd have him bowling over the wicket"
Lyon then takes a wicket bowling around the wicket "Now is the time to start bowling over the wicket"
New ball taken, 6 overs old, Cummins and Starc bowling, Hazlenut and Mitch Marsh the second waiting in the wings "I'd just get a couple overs with lyon in"

    I hope he dies.

Also shite, Kerry O'Keeffe. Not funny, complete nonce, in stitches over his own shit jokes

Also also shite,  Waugh. Fucking pillock. Ragging on Pujara, calling him boring and constantly calling for him to "open up a bit" Guess what cunt? That boring batsman owned Australia last series and hopefully pulls a drawn series out of this one too!

    Bundesliga must be trash then!

Broich was a joke in the Bundesliga and king of the A league. I'd Say Langkamp showed about that much quality.

I mean, Polenz was awful in the 2nd division and he was outstanding in the A league so fuck knows, Langkamp might become your next god

Okada/Ospreay was good. Especially the closing 5-10 mins. Naito/Ibushi was okay, would've been better if it wasn't the same match as Okada/Ospreay being done right after by wrestlers that aren't as good.

Only watched Shingo/Cobb from night 2 so far. Better than I thought it was going to be but once again followed the same formula as the two matches I previously mentioned. A long match with a lot of near falls is great but you can't have every singles match be like that.

Seen White vs Ibushi or Hiromu vs Ishimori yet?

Still think Warner is too aggressive for a test opener. ODI and 20/20 yeah he is great for that but surely he'd be better at 3 or 4? Wouldn't you want a player with is batting style coming in on a warn in pitch and ball?

Here's the conundrum. He's got a great eye, and hard fast hands. He's a genuine short form gun.
In tests he flatters to deceive. He averages something like 35 away from home. With only 6 of his 24 centuries coming away from Australia, but barring Rodgers, he's still been Australias best opener this decade. If he learned patience and to let the ball come to him, attacking after the new ball was getting on, he'd genuinely be a modern great imo. (also if he wasn't a filthy cheat) Instead he's only okay

In a perfect world he plays at 6. But Australia have no one better to open with so :what:

  14. 1 hour ago, Toinho said:

Whenever I see him play, and I’m going back to his early years too, he seemed to either make a big score (relatively quickly) or do exactly what he did this morning.

Hes a god on a flat brisbane wicket against sri lanka and out of his depth against a moving ball.

  15. Warner with his favorite shot, a windy waft outside off well before he's gotten in or has the bowling conditions down pat. He seriously is a fucking idiot.

@Devil-Dick Willie @6666 so I have been watching nxt. The impression i get is it is more dictated by what the fans want than raw and smackdown. So are the undisputed era being  shoved down peoples throats or is it just that they are really popular?

The undisputed Era is the best faction in western wrestling, and it's not even close. You missed their golden years TBH, from Strong joining, to cole losing the championship, that 3 or so year stretch was perfect.

Night one was good, but probably the worst night of WK I've seen. Only Taichi and Zack vs GOD lived up to my expectations.
Okada vs Ospreay was good, as you'd expect it to be, but never wowed me and wasn't their best match, and I love that Ospreays whole dumb ass faction got buried.
Naito vs Ibushi is usually a literal blood bath. But Ibushi can't take concussion bumps if hes going to wrestle night 2 and Naito is getting on. His body is ruined. While I strongly disagree that Naito and Ibushi aren't as good as Okada (and they're all far better than the prancing pom) the match they had was good, but not anything close to matches like they had at Dominion 2018.

To your point on the style of match, NJPW won't have silly card breaking up matches at WK like WWE would. The battle must be intense and the victory satisfying. No 3 minute roll up/comedy matches.

Night 2 was far better. Shingo vs Cobb was way better than it had any right to be, but Shingo is genuinely one of the top 5 wrestlers in that company IMO. A true great.
Evil vs Sanada was quite good
Takahashi vs Ishimori was outrageously good. 5*+
Ibushi vs Jay was one of the best matches I've ever seen. Up there IMO with Omega vs Okada 2/3 falls. Crazy good match, and will almost certainly be my match of the year for this upcoming year.

Resounding win for India in the 2nd test then.

Setting up to be a fantastic series with the remaining 2 tests. Especially with how we reacted from the humiliating 1st test defeat.

Michael Hussy made an excellent point. In the first test India were the better team, or honors even, in all but 1 disaster session. In the second test, they were the better team in every session bar maybe 2 that were honors even.

Out of roughly 18 sessions, India have bossed a good 12, and lost just 1. Big trouble for the Aussies.
