  1. At least Marina Hyde writes funny pieces sometimes. What do Ash Sarkar and Owen Jones contribute apart from childish public tantrums that are only aimed at increasing their profiles to prolong their career? On a side note. Weird how some on the left exhibit this behaviour every time they lose. The jacket with 'Kill Tories' is scary. And these same people will cry fascism while demanding kindness.
  2. A) As I said above, I came across several Tory supporting Reds on other forums, and the labour Reds (easily in majority) were accepting of them and their views, without agreeing to it. It's called DIVERSITY. B) Pretty certain, Liverpool fans across the world have a wide spectrum of perspectives. Sure we must agree upon a lot of good and moral ideas that are necessary for displaying basic humanity and civility. But having a different political opinion is not that. No political opinion or association has a monopoly on a global sporting team. C) Again with the labels. But who cares. I have heard worse from you for me, than glory hunter.
  3. I don't know the details about your political parties. You and the other Brits here have far more knowledge about it. But as a Labour supporter even you must have been repulsed by the two attacks on India embassy. Kids and women bore the brunt that day. Those protest were backed by Labour politicians and well organised. It's about fear that was legitimate. When you see Labour supporting them. Labour even hosted a terrorist organisation JKLF and accepted their support. It's completely understandable for Sikhs and Hindus to be scared of that or the direction that party is taking. What is it with you and wanting people hurt for having a different opinion? Your obsession for violence is weird. PS: I am other LFc forum and this issue was discussed by Tory supporting Reds. I know Liverpool as a city is pro Labour and socialist and I know the bit of history with Thacter, but when this issue was raised there the reponse from Labour supporting Reds was pleasant and accepting of people with different ideas.
  4. So it did work. Props to Sikhs and Hindu Brits. Happy that Corbyn lost. Go on then, including foreign matters in your manifesto just to please a section. Accepting support from JKLF, a terrorist organisation. Just listened to Claudia Webbe's reaction to the letter 6 Labour Councillors from Leicester east wrote to Corbyn and made it public. She starts by saying all the right things, before putting out the subtle and polite threats to them. This is also a perfect warning to the Dems in US. Listen to the locals and their issues, and stay away from the far left, that are only relevant on social media sites.
  5. Like I said before, boring, done to death, lazy argument. Carry on. Interesting. I read two reports here stating the possible change. Apparently concerns 40 seats. A large section of anger was largely due two attacks on the Indian embassy, where Labour politicians were involved - one during Diwali. And a genuine fear that Labour politicians are pandering more and more to British Pakistanis.
  6. Don't want to derail this thread but that's a boring, done to death, lazy line of debate. Just because you don't like something doesn't make them fascists. Or because Guardian says so. There is also a lot of anger regarding violent protests that targeted Indian embassy twice. Protests that included Labour politicians.
  7. Don't know a lot about the election as a whole in detail, but I am intrigued reading reports here in India, how British Indians who traditionally vote for Labour are switching to Tories after Corbyn's recent attacks on our country and its government (which his party quickly distanced itself from). The attack on the Indian embassy by protest groups that included Labour ministers also didn't help. I know Labour panders to the large Pakistani Brits, so this is hardly surprising.
  8. Looks intriguing. And they have to chosen to completely ignore the the recent shitty reboot, which has noticeably riled up the online SJWs.
  9. Not concerned about the injuries, but slightly worried about the fixture. Selhurst Park is not an easy place to go.
  10. Watched the Chinese-American movie The Farewell, starring Akwafina. A really lovely family drama and a good peek into Chinese culture.
  11. Yep that's a vast improvement on the graphics, but yeah I agree as a movie this will bomb.
  12. Watched Official Secrets, and I am surprised that this movie is not talked about more. It's a well made flick. It's based on Katherine Gun who got in trouble for leaking the memo on Iraq war. Also watched Virus. An Indian flick on the Nipah virus outbreak in the south of the country. Had me on the edge. @Mel81x did you watch this?
  13. Sterling is a brave man trying to take on Gomez. @topic I have always deemed the 08-09 team to be the best, but I can say that this team is better than that. Also, in Fabinho we have finally replaced Mascherano, and dare I say the Brazilian is technically and creatively superior to the Argentine.
  14. Anyone else read/saw Weiss and Benioff's Austin Film Festival discussion panel? These two have to be the luckiest idiots on the planet. Didn't know what they were doing and were provided with million dollar budgets. Kept making errors and never got punished. No wonder the quality of the show nosedived once it went beyond the books.

Yep, as an adult I know that was stupid and gross, but it's something that happens quite a bit. Hence, one must never walk close to school buses.

One of the stupid and shitty things I (and a lot of my other friends) did as a kid was spit mouthful of water on pedestrians when they would pass by my school bus. Fast forward to yesterday, a little over two decades later, I am walking home from work and a school bus passes by me and a kid does the same thing to me. Karma.
  17. I had watched half of Brooklyn Nine Nine's first season couple of years ago. Thought it was stritcly alright. Also I didnt like some of the OTT humour and absolutely hated Gina. Gave it another shot, and I am on season 5 and loving it. Still can't stand Gina, though.
  18. I thought the movie made that adequately clear, that Arthur is a narcissist and is mistreated by society and slowly morphs into a murderer. The only fault with this movie is:
  19. Just stepped out of the Joker movie. I loved it. To be honest it's basically Taxi Driver plus King of Comedy. And Scorsese should be proud of what they have done with this movie that seems clearly inspired by his two movies. Hell, the knock-knock practice bit reminded me of the 'Are you talking to me' bit. It goes without saying Phoenix is amazing in this. Also, I can see why the left is upset with this movie, even though Arthur Fleck makes it clear he doesn't believe in anything. Thomas Wayne seems inspired by Trump and the clown movement reminds you of Antifa thugs - wearing masks, going after cops, rioting, etc.
  20. I know South Africans are in a transitional phase, but it was still disappointing to see them losing like that in the two tests so far.
  21. One of the best romantic films I've seen. Totally did not see the twist coming. They set the whole thing up so beautifully with the rice sake, threads and comet. Just perfect. The only issue was that I watched this with my younger cousin and the boob grabbing bits were weird. Overall though it was a brilliant flick.
  22. Came across this yesterday. It's actually well written. The analogy about the girlfriend and the bits about dog and Rodgers were brilliant.
  23. Was just about to post this. I enjoyed Safdie Brothers ' Good Time. This should be interesting as well. And yeah, Adam Sandler is a good actor when he wants to.
  24. I saw it on my Youtube feed, which is pretty much anime now thanks to watching videos about Studio Ghibli. From the trailer you can tell it's a romantic story about switching bodies. Akira and Your Name is next on my list.
