  1. Puig needs to be playing all the time aswell. He always looks to pass forward, hardly ever loses possession and has great ball control, can beat players, is full of energy and has strong work ethic..he's a talented lad. While Arthur showed talent, he was also inconsistent with it and didn't pass the ball forwards enough, didn't create, while Riqui in the chances he had under Setién showed more in such a short time. The midfield needs to be built around himself and de Jong, with someone to complement them. One of Pjanic or Wilnaldum perhaps? The same mistake can't be made with Puig as with Thaigo, although in the case of the latter he did have to break into a midfield of Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and Cesc. But Puig right now is that young bright talent needed. It would help if Dembélé stayed injury free aswell as he's a very naturally gifted player who has all the talent, just not always the right attitude and his injuries have fucked him so far. But when he has played and been able to have a little run in the team, he has shown his talent.
  2. Crazy amount of daily cases in India. The highest amount of cases recorded by a country in 1 day.
  3. Police went to stop a party and ended up staying, joining in and dancing. @Berserker, @Mpache
  4. Need to start building from within again and go through a real transition period. But this means it's probably time for Messi to leave. 33, still an incredible player(still the world's best for me) but if he wants to win new things then it's probably the time now to try a new club Shame to see a player leave who I'd like to see retire at the club but it probably is the time and to be fair, with Messi, a club like City are set out to win everything in the present and he could help win them their first Champs league, while having the opportunity to pick up league medals in a new league. Cringey club, but with players like Sterling and de Bruyne and his his favourite manager there, he wouldn't be wasting the the end of his career. I think La Liga is going to be heavily affected in the coming years(as I've touched on), quality wise, but Barcelona won't die, there is a great youth system there and the club will continue be a pull with big players. But it's now time to seriously change things, both at board level and the mentality of the club or there is a risk of becoming AC Milan. If things are done properly though, then with time and patience, that can be avoided and the club can go on to have more great days after a patient rebuilding process. The team needs an identity again. The biggest problem has been the waste of money. The club have spent more than anyone in Europe over recent years and that's not necessary as it's not what has ever really worked at Barcelona. A team of players like Coutinho, Griezmann, Arthur, Umtiti, Dembélé, Lenglet and de Jong certainly doesn't sound like a bad bunch of signings though in truth and most of them should have done alot better. Well apart from de Jong, who you can see is a class act and can be the future of the team when player in his correct position. But it's been a case of simply throwing a bunch of players onto a pitch, then expecting Messi to come up with the goods. Maybe if Dembélé can stay injury free then he can be one to be built around. Still very young and massively talented, then there is Fati, Puig...the near future can still be bright with the right choices being made. Lenglet is a good player aswell, but needs someone more solid to partner him, as Pique is terrible. Ansu is a genuine talent, with alot to his game at a young age.
  5. That would actually be a very interesting trip and worth the money overall. We could also see which country we get locked down.in when said country has their second wave
  6. English people, moaning about immigration in England, while living in Spain, and not speaking the official language of said country
  7. Got to love the British news though. Whenever they interview a southerner on tele, they are well spoken, well dressed, come across as intelligent...they interview people up north and they are wearing trackies, common as fuck, from some ran down estate...
  8. Is there one rule for us and one for the police? I say this, as 2 have just been in Sainsburys(those smaller stores) without a mask and then they went into subway after it without one. I thought masks were mandatory in these situations now?
  9. @Machado Portugal now on the ok to travel list. If I wasn't busy at the moment,I'd go to Lisbon or the Algarve for 4 days or so(such as tomorrow) while I could before it's back on the "unsafe list" again Honestly, if you time it right and don't go for too long, this is the best time to travel right now if you are wise @Toinho. Think about it. When else can you go to Amsterdam in the summer and it's not overcrowded? Or in the case of right now(since Netherlands is on the quarantine list now), going to South Portugal in summer and it not being overly packed? Definitely risky though but life's about risks sometimes. If it's still on the list in Oct then I will go, but I doubt it will be by then as everyone will go there now it's back on the ok list. Croatia are now on the unsafe list, but when my mate went the other week there was barely a case. So it changes quickly.
  10. I might pop down to London for a few days in October since there is probably no more trips abroad this year.
  11. My mate was supposed to be going carp fishing there in 3 weeks aswell
  12. The Netherlands will now be added to the list of countries that require quarantine when arriving back to the UK. You could see it coming when I was there 2 week ago as they were having a rise in cases then and there weren't any social distancing being followed as such.
  13. @Berserker, @Mpache, @nudge, @Stan, @Bluewolf Watch it if you haven't already.
  14. Fucking hell I remember feeling the force of a bomb in Benidorm back in 2003 when I'd have been 17 as ETA blew up a hotel near ours. It felt sort of like a mini earthquake and the sound was unreal. I've never seen anything like they cloud of smoke it produced either. But I can't imagine what this explosion must have been like. Jesus. It's like a mini nuclear bomb. Apparently it was even felt by some in Cyprus. Thoughts with all those in Beirut affected by it. That city(well the country of Lebanon) don't exactly have it easy at the best of times. Ammonium nitrate is what the cause was.
  15. Whatever areas it is,local lockdowns make more sense. I always said that local lockdowns and limiting travel between cities made more sense than local lockdowns. It's taken them 6 months to come up with this. For me it makes more sense because it doesn't have as big an impact on the economy while at the same time all focus can be on where it needs to be. My city had barely any cases or a serious problem during the national lockdown. It never needed to be in lockdown. What it needed was stopping people coming in from other towns, as you'd expect that has as much chance of spreading a virus as moving between countries.
  16. There was actually an old Peruvian guy riding around on a bike with a speaker blasting out Cumbia music. Then when I went into Vondelpark, he was sat in there blasting music out, with other Latin Americans dancing, smoking weed, etc. I ended up chilling with them for a while having a spliff. @Mpache Then as you walked further down there was some big Jamaican fella with his top off blasting out Reggae with a few of his pals Then as I was sat on a bench in Saphire park(I think it's called that), some random German came and sat next to me on the bench(when there were 5 others free), put his speaker down and started blasting German hip hop while eating a tub of magic truffles. There was a fella form Eindhoven who randomly came up to me with 50 euros in his hand telling me it had been a while(was it you @Gunnersauraus? ), asking me where the red-lights were. Then he pulled out a box of Viagra, telling me how he's "come prepared". It's what I like about Amsterdam. It's just full of strange(but in a brilliant way) people who can all go out there and be themselves, whatever they are. Amstelpark was also a change as I had never been there before, due to it being out of the way. I got the metro there and was surprised at the lack of tourists(in fact there weren't any I don't think?), it was all locals and you never smelt any weed at all(well until I turned up of course ), there is also a windmill there which was pretty class. Not to mention, I had a look around the lake and saw some fucking huge carp in the margins, which I could have caught easily with a stalking rod. It makes you wonder if you're allowed to fish it. But honestly, I'd take a 100 euro fine if you weren't and it meant catching one of those beauties! Speaking of fishing, I spoke to a local who was lure fishing and he said it's 4 quid for the year to fish all the canals and you get a little map showing you all the spots. I might have to indulge into some "urban fishing" out there. All you would need is a small rod and you could go lure fishing on the canals and then do a bit of stalking for the carp on the park lakes.
  17. I went for the double dong, that way I can share it with that scaffolder at work..
  18. There we go @nudge a 15 inch cock and balls and a 16 inch double dong
  19. Personally I don't think football is that great as whole right now. It's too much about money to ever be great again. Obviously money has played a part for years, in fact decades, but it's become silly now. I'd also say it was going through a transition period aswell. Also as I mentioned, unless they get rid of VAR, the sport will never be the same again unfortunately.
  20. Yeah but Juve are nothing special either. Full of old players. That's why teams are catching them up for me. It's not just a cycle either as these leagues are dying because the Premier League has become pretty much a Super League. The sport will never be the same again and it's not a cycle. We've never seen this before and unless half of the teams in these leagues sell their clubs to rich Russians, Americans, Arabs, Chinese, etc then they will never compete again as they just have all their players taken off them every year, while Premier league clubs(and a handful of clubs from these other leagues) price everyone out, while picking up steals from every other league because of clauses. Covid will also ruin some clubs, including some big ones. But honestly the quality in La Liga over the past few years has been dreadful and it will only get worse as you could see it coming for several years. VAR has killed it aswell. Introducing that nonsense was well and truly the final nail in the coffin and I was personally never in favour of it ever coming into play. It doesn't suit football and never will however it is or isn't implemented. The Bundesliga has alot of top young talent but they aren't the future of German football, unless they go to Bayern, if we are honest. Besides alot of young players look much better there than when they leave.
  21. Terrible season all-round, even worse than last season(which is saying slot), the talent just isn't there anymore. 95% of the clubs just sell everything good they have and the ones who don't sell their best, waste money on absolute garbage. The level of football quality is also horrendously bad and it's gone from a league full of attacking talent and excitement to one full of teams playing defensive football as they don't have the quality. I suppose most leagues are now in this position though as the Bundesliga and the Serie A are both awful aswell(the Bundesliga has alot of young talents, but they are just being warmed up, nothing more) and the less said about the French league, the better. Hopefully La Liga regains its former glory, although I can just see it getting worse and worse from here on in.
  22. Greater Manchester: City of Manchester Trafford Stockport Oldham Bury Wigan Bolton Tameside Rochdale Salford Lancashire: Blackburn with Darwen Burnley Hyndburn Pendle Rossendale All these in the North West have some form of restrictions.
  23. So, I went for a little walk at 6:30 this morning(to smoke up all the rest of what I had left, as you do) before I had to head to the airport and randomly some fella is rolling blading down the street at like 60 mile an hour, wearing a pink mankini with a pink shower cap on, flying through the (quiet early morning) streets. Where else do you see shit like this? I could honestly write a book about the things I've seen there De Wallen was fucking rammed last night(I honestly think that if I'm to catch corona, it's from going down there!). Everything is pretty much normal other than nightclubs being shut, but rowdy bars with music are open, red lights are open, all coffeeshops are(most you can sit inside, only few are takeouts), restaurants are open to sit inside, even the likes of Mcdonalds are for sitting in. As for masks, you only see them on public transport, but you don't need them in the stations themselves, likewise, you only need masks at Schipol airport when going through customs and boarding. Vondelpark was normal, but they have big rings spray painted on the grass to keep a distance and people were doing so.
  24. It reached 32 degrees here in Amsterdam today. It's still warm now, 26 it says on my phone. It feels very Southern Europe-like. @Stan gets rain when he goes in Summer
