We wouldn't, we'd go out and kill to eat using instincts. If we had to kill our own food, that would mean we lived much more primitively and if that was the case, vegans wouldn't have seen any videos about pigs on youtube to become vegans in the first place. But either way, for as harsh as it is, farming animals for food is much better than killing your own as that way you aren't creating an imbalance in nature. It's worse eating sea food(not like I have anything against it) to be honest as that comes from natural resources as opposed to being farmed for the purpose of food. There is a reason why Herring Gulls, Cormorants, Oyster Catchers, etc are moving more inland and living around man-made lakes, etc, as there is a much larger food source for them there. In terms of farming, there needs to simply be changes made to factory farming, rather than stopping eating meat altogether as not everyone could live on vegan diets if we are being realistic.

In that case, you don't give a shit about the environment or wildlife if you dispose of or have disposed of literally anything containing plastic, use paper or wood, drive cars(or use any form of public transport), go on aircrafts, own a cat or use anything containing palm oil. I haven't heard you once mention the Badger cull in this thread, speak about the worryingly low numbers of Hedgehogs these days, or how there has been such a low number of Hen Harrier chicks hatching this year. Vegans are largely dickheads, they don't preach about what matters the most.

I was walking past a pet shop just before and heard loads of parrots, so I went in there and saw one which was cool as fuck. It seemed quite tame too(it'd be easy to tame atleast as it didn't seem bothered) and I might buy it. I actually have a big cage(with an open top, so it is always open once the bird has adapted to its surroundings) as I bought it a while ago when I was thinking of buying a ring-necked parakeet. Thing is, it seemed friendly with another parrot in the cage, so I might get both as it feels harsh to separate them. The only problem is, it's better to buy birds individually, as they're easier to tame that way, and then introduce it to another one once it's tame. Honestly, it was class and only costs 100 quid. It's 12 month old, male and doesn't seem bothered about humans. I've forgot the exact species but there were Senegalese Parrots in the same cage as it and I'm not sure whether they are of the same family or whatever. The fella in the shop told me the name of it, but I forgot it.

These are real grafters. Scaffold made out of bamboo. It becomes more strict all the time now over here. It's even at the point where a lot of sites(especially the ones which build apartment buildings) require you to wear gloves. The dickwad site managers even collar you for not wearing them if you're simply walking across site. The worse is when they say it is to prevent Weil's disease, but that is contracted via water and if your gloves are wet, it soaks through them anyway. Also they allow fingerless gloves, so that completely defeats the purpose. There is health and safety and then there is ridiculous. I'd have more chance of contracting Weil's disease from night fishing too as there are rats everywhere and it's easy to forget to wash your hands when fishing(although I always have some of that hand sanitizer stuff), and then eating something. This doesn't happen at work as you always wash them before every break time and after work. Best is when you have painters INSIDE a house painting and they have to wear hard hats. Come on, what the fuck is going to drop on their head when they are inside a house? Ridiculous.

No hard hat, no steel toe cap boots, no hi-vis clothing.....It's funny how times change.

I've seen people fall through scaffold planks on new build sites. I saw one go on a bricky last year. Luckily he was a big lad so he couldn't fit through the gap and was able to pull himself back up or he'd have had a certain death there considering how beneath him was all scaffold tubes, which he'd have twatted every part of his body on on the way down. In fairness though, this was more due to poor scaffolding and a poor housing company(persimmon homes, yes I'm name dropping as they're cunts) whose inspections, etc are very questionable, but I mean, wood can rot and something like that occur quite easily happen even if the scaffold has been done properly. They use aluminium on some sites now and for me that is much better, although costs a lot more which is why only some do it.

I'm an idiot. I started on a decent building site(student accommodation) 2 weeks ago, there is only probably a months work left but it was cushty as I quickly managed to get myself in the little office where all I was doing is checking people in and taking new arrival's finger prints all day, given how you need to use your finger prints to enter and exit the site. I fucked it off in order to start some work on a bridge today(which is longer term work and better pay), not knowing that it was actually inside the bridge, you couldn't stand up inside there, it was dark, full of sut and it was literally like an underground coal mine. Certainly not for people with claustrophobia, so I fucked off literally 5 minutes later. No chance I'm doing that. It was a fucking horrible experience and I only went in there for 5 minutes. Even getting into the bridge itself was dodgy. Walking across scaffold planks, and when you looked down all you could see is the river. Everything about it was just not me, fuck all that. Luckily I've just been offered another job just now, which is long term, so I can start that tomorrow.

I've watched all but the last 2 episodes(as they uploaded them all at once) this weekend and it's been class. It hasn't lost that grittiness and it has gotten better as it has progressed.

Channel 4 stopped it, then Drake, after watching it, said that it was far too good to end it there, bought the rights and brought it back. Fair play to Drake(and Netflix) for that. The first episode is actually on there tomorrow. The only thing I don't get on that trailer, is what happened to the Albanians? In the last season the Albanians were out to kill them and then it ended on a cliff hanger. Also it may lose some of its true grit realism it had and become more 'Americanised' in this series now that it's produced by Drake. It should still be good and worth the watch though.

I personally couldn't be against this badger cull more. It's fucking ridiculous how a government can decide which animals die and which live. Badgers are supposed to be protected animals and you or I couldn't go out there randomly killing them now as it would be (rightfully) deemed a criminal offence. Yet the government are ok to kill them? Nevermind culling Crows, Gulls, Badgers, Foxes, Magpies, or whatever else it is they are culling this week. When I look around, it's humans who are massively overpopulated in this country. It's to the point where they are now destroying natural, untouched land(which is usually breaming with wildlife) in order to build (shite as fuck) new houses. This is only just scratching the surface though. They are killing curlews too(which they try and hide) and these are an endangered bird. But because they like to be around near airports, they have culls on them. They kill any type of animal if it suits them.

Power, now that it is back for the 6th series.

I'd be surprised if he did do at this stage to be honest. He genuinely seems to love the club(constantly winning trophies and earning millions also helps that of course!) and the only time I can really see him leaving is at the absolute end of his career. If that is the case though, then hopefully he ends his career in Argentina rather than somewhere such as China or the USA. It would be great if he actually retired at Barcelona as a one club man though and it's unfortunate that Iniesta and Xavi didn't do the same, rather than leaving to Qatar and Japan. Same with Gerrard when he left Liverpool in order to move out to the states. In many ways I regard them as being one club men still, as they left to semi-professional leagues in order to relax and end their careers with a nice pay cheque, although in the classic sense of the word, they won't be regarded as such unfortunately.

He should take Dembele's place in the squad. Much better attitude and much more mature, yet is about 6 years younger. You've got to watch it with young players though in that you don't rush them. For every young player like Messi or Mbappe, you have a Bojan or a Fabrice Olinga. Bojan, for me was probably rushed, because despite showing a lot of promising signs at such a young age, he ended up with maybe too much weight on his shoulders.

It was 32 in the day. Where we are fishing, it's completely shaded by trees where our bivvies(like a tent) are so it's lucky really. Not being able to get out of the sun when needed is a killer.

The humidity tonight in the south east is literally like Spain, even the air smells the same. We are around a lake too. The first time I ever went to Spain was 95 as a kid and when stepping off the plane at 2am, I'd never felt humidity like it and before that I had been on many family holidays down south as a kid. Well this is what it's like down here. Anyone who thinks global warming is a myth is an idiot.

That was some rough journey last night. We set off at midnight and were fighting sleep for the whole journey. Got here about 6:15 then had to set up all our gear. Rough times, but after a nice sleep and a few fish, it's looking good already.

Yeah it's further than London. More near Hastings. I'm bang into it myself mate, I've got all the top of the range gear Carp and Catfish mate. There are some big ones in there as we had some out last year when we went at the same time as this year.
