A photo of Battle Abbey(that I took when down South), which was built on the site where the battle of Hastings in 1066 took place.

I wouldn't mind going to Portugal myself as I've never been, which is surprising since it's only a few hours away and would be up my street. Lisbon itself would be great I reckon. I've also heard many great things about Hamburg. I know a fella who has travelled everywhere and he says Hamburg is his favourite city. I've been to Barcelona before but not on my own, although I'd get by easy there. I was supposed to go fishing in France(10 hour drive!) next Sept, which was decided when down south last month, although my mate has landed himself in some financial troubles so that might not happen now. If not, that frees up more time and money to get a few more trips in. You're not wrong about things quickly changing. They very nearly did this year as I started getting close with a bird who I met back in late May when I was working at the uni. It didn't work out as planned in the end though as she moved away working to the other side of the country about 4 week ago(which I knew was coming) and long distances don't work for me, so an emotional discussion and that was that. But it does show how quickly things can change and plans can change. You're better off just being a bit spontaneous and deciding at the last minute at times.

"Bad Blood". Just came across this now on netflix and it seems like my type of series. It's about one of Canada's biggest crime bosses, Vito Rizzuto, and I was impressed by the first episode. Good acting and is based on true events, which always make the gangster genre better. Also looks up your street @Bluewolf, @Teso dos Bichos

I just had it out for the first time and it was flying around everywhere going wild. I had my head in my hands thinking that a disaster was going to happen, but it wasn't crashing into anything fortunately and kept landing on alsorts. I then had the dilemma of getting it back in the cage, although luckily it just flew in on its own accord. I've only had it 3 days though so it needs time to settle. The only human hands it has seen so far are when they are grabbing it and putting it in a box. It's not hand tame and will take a few months for me. I can tame budgies in days(as I did when younger) but these are more like bigger parrots in their character and are stubborn. It's settling, hasn't stopped eating and is making more noise all the time(which are good signs), but actually getting it to trust you might be harder than I'd have liked. Then again, 3 days is nothing and in 3 weeks there could already be a huge change. It is only a baby so it's far from untameable.

Excellent photography, I need to take you fishing with me so the pictures actually come out great without my mate's fingers poking out on the side of the screen and missing half my head out... They wouldn't look out of place on some holiday website as advertisements. They make the scenery stick out and do it justice.

I was going to go to Barcelona and Taragona this summer mate but ended up spending a lot on my fishing trips and bought new rods, reels, etc. I was down in the South east with my mate for a week fishing(which was already planned since last year), did another 3 day session down in the midlands and a bunch up north. But I will go somewhere next year definitely. There is also still time to do a cheeky 2/3 days somewhere before the end of this year as well. Maybe December. Reason I've been to Amsterdam 3 times this year(well one of the times was actually last December) is because when I first ever went back in 2007 I never truly got to see the city as I went for sensation white and that was pretty much the whole trip then when I went in December last year with the lads, we just got wrecked and I felt as though I still hadn't truly seen the city properly. This is why I then went back in February and again in April. I thought they were great trips, it was the first time I've been abroad on my own and I got to see literally everything in the city pretty much. I'll go back of course, but since I've been 3 times in the last 9 months, I'm less arsed about returning right now. You spend shitloads in such a short time. It is the perfect city to travel to if you're going on your own though for me as you meet people so fucking easily and the crime rate is very low. Going away on my own has also set the tone. It's better in some senses than going away with the lads(as there is always one who ruins it) or with a woman(arguments start or you have to mainly do what they want), but on your own it's amazing. It has set the tone now. I'm going to do a few more trips to different cities in Europe then probably fuck off somewhere like Mexico or the USA for a few weeks in the coming years. I've just bought a parrot though now, so I'll have to work out how I can make sure that is looked after whenever I go away anywhere as they are a big commitment to be fair. Yeah when I was a kid and would go away with the parents, they would always use the likes of Thomas Cook, but as you say, that was before the internet was a big thing. You're better off avoiding them nowadays. The reason they'll have gone bust in the first place is due to these reasons also.
-
Definitely took that picture about 18 times until he got it right I bet as well.... Nah, class pics mate. It makes me want to fuck off there now. Looks lovely. On another note, Thomas Cook have gone bust leaving 600,000 people stranded on holiday. Wow.

I nearly bought a Conure from a local pet shop, but it was 12 month old, you want them younger than that. Not to mention, they are too small and I wanted something bigger. Ringneck parakeets are about the perfect size. They aren't too big like a Macaw or a Cockatoo, while not too small like a Budgie, Cockatiel or Conure. To be honest though, it's not always about size, I mean budgies are some of the most fun pets you can get. Anyway, this is it:- It just needs to settle now for a few days, then I can let it out a bit and enable it get used to its new(and much larger) environment
-
Yeah that's the place mate. There are 3 pet shops in Warrington I think but that was the only one that sell ringneck parakeets.
-
I've just bought an Indian ring neck parakeet. I will get a good picture of it when its settled down. It'll have to stay in the cage for a few days but then once I get it settled and tame, I will leave the cage open at all times(with perches and shit all over for it) then it can just fly around freely in the room. They aren't unsafe by doing that and will go back into their cage at night and not move when it's dark anyway. I don't think a bird's cage should ever really be locked once one is settled. It's great either way, pretty little thing with a big red beak. It looks as though it could be a male as well as a ring is forming around its neck, although it's not certain yet. I had to go all the way to Warrington for it @DeadLinesman It was from a pet shop that also sells exotic animals. It was quite cramped in there, but very clean and all the animals looked in great condition. The blondie who worked in there was fucking banging as well. Do you know her by any chance? It's a decent town to be fair, plenty there and cleaner than most towns in the North West. I've always been quite fond of Warrington. I was thinking of getting one(a parrot) from Burnley, but it'd have probably had 3 legs or summet.

Ghetts still doing his thing. Top Boy(you have to watch that @Teso dos Bichos) has some great tunes on it.

The early to mid 00s for UK Hip Hop was like the early to mid 90s was for US hip hop. So raw-sounding and underground. Straight from the streets. @Teso dos Bichos, @Berserker, @Machado, @True Blue, @Danny

We wouldn't, we'd go out and kill to eat using instincts. If we had to kill our own food, that would mean we lived much more primitively and if that was the case, vegans wouldn't have seen any videos about pigs on youtube to become vegans in the first place. But either way, for as harsh as it is, farming animals for food is much better than killing your own as that way you aren't creating an imbalance in nature. It's worse eating sea food(not like I have anything against it) to be honest as that comes from natural resources as opposed to being farmed for the purpose of food. There is a reason why Herring Gulls, Cormorants, Oyster Catchers, etc are moving more inland and living around man-made lakes, etc, as there is a much larger food source for them there. In terms of farming, there needs to simply be changes made to factory farming, rather than stopping eating meat altogether as not everyone could live on vegan diets if we are being realistic.
-
In that case, you don't give a shit about the environment or wildlife if you dispose of or have disposed of literally anything containing plastic, use paper or wood, drive cars(or use any form of public transport), go on aircrafts, own a cat or use anything containing palm oil. I haven't heard you once mention the Badger cull in this thread, speak about the worryingly low numbers of Hedgehogs these days, or how there has been such a low number of Hen Harrier chicks hatching this year. Vegans are largely dickheads, they don't preach about what matters the most.

I was walking past a pet shop just before and heard loads of parrots, so I went in there and saw one which was cool as fuck. It seemed quite tame too(it'd be easy to tame atleast as it didn't seem bothered) and I might buy it. I actually have a big cage(with an open top, so it is always open once the bird has adapted to its surroundings) as I bought it a while ago when I was thinking of buying a ring-necked parakeet. Thing is, it seemed friendly with another parrot in the cage, so I might get both as it feels harsh to separate them. The only problem is, it's better to buy birds individually, as they're easier to tame that way, and then introduce it to another one once it's tame. Honestly, it was class and only costs 100 quid. It's 12 month old, male and doesn't seem bothered about humans. I've forgot the exact species but there were Senegalese Parrots in the same cage as it and I'm not sure whether they are of the same family or whatever. The fella in the shop told me the name of it, but I forgot it.

These are real grafters. Scaffold made out of bamboo. It becomes more strict all the time now over here. It's even at the point where a lot of sites(especially the ones which build apartment buildings) require you to wear gloves. The dickwad site managers even collar you for not wearing them if you're simply walking across site. The worse is when they say it is to prevent Weil's disease, but that is contracted via water and if your gloves are wet, it soaks through them anyway. Also they allow fingerless gloves, so that completely defeats the purpose. There is health and safety and then there is ridiculous. I'd have more chance of contracting Weil's disease from night fishing too as there are rats everywhere and it's easy to forget to wash your hands when fishing(although I always have some of that hand sanitizer stuff), and then eating something. This doesn't happen at work as you always wash them before every break time and after work. Best is when you have painters INSIDE a house painting and they have to wear hard hats. Come on, what the fuck is going to drop on their head when they are inside a house? Ridiculous.
-
No hard hat, no steel toe cap boots, no hi-vis clothing.....It's funny how times change.

I've seen people fall through scaffold planks on new build sites. I saw one go on a bricky last year. Luckily he was a big lad so he couldn't fit through the gap and was able to pull himself back up or he'd have had a certain death there considering how beneath him was all scaffold tubes, which he'd have twatted every part of his body on on the way down. In fairness though, this was more due to poor scaffolding and a poor housing company(persimmon homes, yes I'm name dropping as they're cunts) whose inspections, etc are very questionable, but I mean, wood can rot and something like that occur quite easily happen even if the scaffold has been done properly. They use aluminium on some sites now and for me that is much better, although costs a lot more which is why only some do it.

I'm an idiot. I started on a decent building site(student accommodation) 2 weeks ago, there is only probably a months work left but it was cushty as I quickly managed to get myself in the little office where all I was doing is checking people in and taking new arrival's finger prints all day, given how you need to use your finger prints to enter and exit the site. I fucked it off in order to start some work on a bridge today(which is longer term work and better pay), not knowing that it was actually inside the bridge, you couldn't stand up inside there, it was dark, full of sut and it was literally like an underground coal mine. Certainly not for people with claustrophobia, so I fucked off literally 5 minutes later. No chance I'm doing that. It was a fucking horrible experience and I only went in there for 5 minutes. Even getting into the bridge itself was dodgy. Walking across scaffold planks, and when you looked down all you could see is the river. Everything about it was just not me, fuck all that. Luckily I've just been offered another job just now, which is long term, so I can start that tomorrow.

I've watched all but the last 2 episodes(as they uploaded them all at once) this weekend and it's been class. It hasn't lost that grittiness and it has gotten better as it has progressed.
