  1. We should be talking more about how disgusting democracy has become in this country if it's a genuine strategy that, if the Prime Minister can't get something through parliament because it's not a good deal for the country, then if she offers up her resignation suddenly a bunch of Conservative MPs could backtrack and decide they can accept the deal on behalf of the country if it opens up gaps above them in the party. Absolutely disgusting. Not saying things would be any different with any other party before I get jumped on.
  2. Listened to that podcast this evening, very interesting after the years Di Montezemolo spent at Ferrari. Like many Italians, he wasn't shy about romanticising certain elements of the past such as Senna apparently agreeing to try and get out of his Williams contract to join Ferrari the week of Imola 1994. I was surprised how honest he was in his views of Alonso and Vettel, that they weren't or aren't quite as strong as Lauda and Schumacher were for Ferrari.
  3. Just processing this announcement but I have to say if May is putting her own job on the line to prevent a No Deal outcome then in this at least, you have to say fair play to her.
  4. More of a shocked and surprised face. The ten people that ended up there were not who I was expecting. I was particularly expecting the last one to be the same person from the comic.
  5. Let me know when you've watched tonight's episode .
  6. All of the people on this march and signing this petition that originally voted Leave I have no sympathy for. Can't be arsed with people cry arsing about how they didn't know all the facts and now they do they've changed their mind. Perhaps do your research next time you're going to vote on something as big as this? I maintain that the campaigners on both sides were completely irresponsible in allowing their point scoring crusades to get in the way of presenting actual facts in favour of their side of the referendum, but voting either way without reading the information (and the information was out there if you looked past the front pages and news channels on television who invariably have their own agenda regardless of what anyone says) is completely stupid and makes me despise our electorate even more. I'd love to think that people who now realise that they should have read up on stuff before deciding which way to vote will at least have learned a life lesson about their responsibilities as members of a democratic society but you know they'll do the same thing in the next election or important vote.
  7. I like getting a tan but I don't have the patience to sunbathe for very long these days. I'm not sure why. When I was younger I could sit out in the sun and bake for hours but now I get too twitchy and bored even if I'm reading or whatever.
  8. Still think you have to give Sarri the time to make that massive change. Must be frustrating as hell at the moment but he was brought in to do something that's impossible with what he's been given. If the board want him gone already it's their fucking fault in the first place for signing a philosophy manager to take over a club and turning them into something completely different, then sacking him after one season because he doesn't get instant results when you've only been able to get him 2 or 3 players that can help achieve what he's looking to do. It's literally ridiculous if you look past the simplistic logic of "recent results aren't very good so it's the manager's responsibility". Not saying the manager is faultless. Picking Alonso is stupid enough on its own. I just don't see Chelsea achieving much by sacking him and going back to someone who can coax a top four season out of these players to paper over the cracks for a bit longer because if they do that, what a waste this season has been and what are they going to be five years from now?
  9. Another decent episode tonight for different reasons. @Gunnersauraus Was slightly disappointed by the lack of Whisperers but finally revealed what that branding situation was all about with Michonne. Proper uncomfortable parts of that flashback. All coming to a head in the next couple of episodes with the fair etc. Think they'll go somewhere interesting with Negan as well from the next season onwards.
  10. I'm on PS4 as well. I still have that problem with F1 games where I'm too stubborn to play less than 100% race distance because it's unrealistic and therefore end up not playing it at all because I don't have time .
  11. The Grand Prix games from 1998-2002 were well ahead of their time. It took until the Codemasters third or fourth attempt at a game to really take over. I used to have loads of GP4 mods. Such a brutally challenging game, sometimes I just put on a full AI race and let it run its course because the way reliability, weather changes, driver performance and mistakes were programmed in, while very simplistic, made it a very believable race experience. The only downside was that AI drivers would lap with pretty much constant performance all the way through.
  12. Haven't seen any spoilers. Only the first trailer and some rumours. Trying to avoid it all really. In previous years I'd have rewatched the series prior to the new season but it's just too much Tele. Might watch the last two seasons again closer to the date.
  13. Ridiculous if anyone actually gives a shit about it. I suppose none of them own a red pair of socks or a red toothbrush and refuse to eat tomato or red onions.
  14. Not that I remember mate. Think they're an original addition.
  15. The writings been on the wall here for a long time. We're at a point now where we just have to wait and see what happens. I'll be amazed if there's significant change between now and the actual day of Brexit.
  16. Really enjoying that Netflix series. Never thought I'd see the day F1 and the teams and drivers signed off on so many of these behind the scenes conversations going on film. Four episodes in, a lot of interesting stuff on the various Red Bull/Ricciardo/Verstappen/Renault developments. He splits opinion but I do have a lot of time for Christian Horner. While he clearly misread the Ricciardo situation I feel like he's one of the much more solid team bosses. Abiteboul is an interesting character as well.
  17. Will certainly be getting my teeth into that series over the weekend.
  18. There will be differences in the way some people's storylines get wrapped up and some other aspects of the story I'm sure but the broad strokes will be the same. I will still read the last books definitely, just a shame to have the final chapter told by a television show.
  19. Are you a book reader too? I have to say I have mixed feelings about the show finishing up and the next book becoming the only thing left but at the same time losing relevance to so many people as they'll have seen the ending.
  20. Not getting excited about it until Australia Q3.
  21. Watched the trailer but I don't want to over analyse it like I have in previous years and end up ruining half of the season for myself because I know what's coming.
  22. Thought it was okay last night. Not as big as the promo had made it look but I'm excited to see the climax to this season.
