Massive choke from Osaka at the end of set 2 but that's just classic women's tennis. She deserved to win and did in the end.

Does anyone have Balon on Facebook or WhatsApp or anything? Bit worrying how quiet he's gone or do we know why he's been offline for so long?
  4. @Harvsky hitting me with a lot of nostalgia from the Econ half of my time at university.
  5. Lego Island was a sensational game when I was 6 years old.
  6. And why I'm all like oh fuck off. Honestly fuming with this, last thing we need is to be taking that 70k a week back onto our wage bill, a disgusting amount of which is already designated to former managers and players, current loaned out players and general dead wood. A lot of people sympathise with him because they reckon the ACL injury fucked him up but to be honest he was bang average but just a bit faster before he was injured. Admittedly he had only just joined so gets some leeway for settling in time, but we really overpaid for him. Signing a streaky late 20s winger with no resale value on 100k a week is absolute vintage Koeman/Walsh era Everton and those two names will continue to haunt us for months and years to come. Honestly. How fucking Jim Broadbent do you have to be to let Deulofeu leave, buy Bolasie who was basically an older version of the exact same player for twice the fee, and hand Kevin Mirallas a five year contract extension. Scandalous.
  7. Seeing Rodgers back in the Premier League would be interesting. He did well at Swansea though his detractors argued that he merely applied the finishing touches to the good work of Roberto Martinez, though I'd argue that's unlikely because Martinez is a clown. Liverpool was a very mixed bag, he ended up like a very flawed and incomplete Klopp. Maybe he's learned a few things up in Scotland, I doubt it. My gut says that if he returned to England he'd be up and down and pretty much another name on the managerial merry go round but a bit better and more respected than most.
  8. First I've heard of this actually, a Google doesn't bring anything up aside from the fact that this is indeed true. It's not uncommon in the UK, I don't know if it is in Germany, for a young person to change their surname. Usually the circumstances derive from parents not being together either at birth or through divorce a few years later. E.g. his parents may have been Mr and Mrs Logan when he was born and the dad went on to walk out on them or something else that caused him to want to take his mother's maiden name Pickford. Or possibly his parents weren't married so he took his mother's name Logan and then later decided he wanted to be called Pickford after his Dad, or his parents even got married after he was born and they all became Pickfords. Could be any of these scenarios or others that are similar. I have at least one friend who has changed her surname twice since we were teenagers, and I've taught at least half a dozen students whose legal surnames have been changed for one reason or another, involving circumstances at home, so like I say it isn't uncommon.
  9. Why should Arya have died? If Sansa was dumb enough to let Baelish turn the sisters against each other I'd have had that down as exceedingly poor story telling personally. I definitely accept that Jaime getting killed when he charged Daenerys down would have been realistic and a fair enough progression of the story. I imagine if he dies it'll be some grand sacrifice to save Brienne, or vice versa, in a shameless expression of HBO fan service so that's probably why he's been kept alive. On a wider level, there has been far too much Deus Ex Machina and fake deaths to add to the suspense as the seasons have progressed. They've really lost the "nobody is safe" appeal they had in the early years.
  10. £11m not bad for a player out of contract in the summer. That's what happens when the over excitable CSL clubs negotiate with Levy I suppose.
  11. All about the wage budget. For starters, we're apparently still paying off Martinez, Koeman and Allardyce which is both hilarious and embarrassing. After that, you've got a silly number of players who are either out on loan but we're still paying some of their wages, have left the club entirely but we're still paying them a reduced difference between their Everton wage and their new wage, and players who you simply forget about but are still on decent wages, and it's mad how many of them are on anything between 60k and 100k+ a week when you look at some of the names. A far from exhaustive list: Sandro Ramirez, Yannick Bolasie, Kevin Mirallas, James McCarthy, Oumar Niasse, Mo Besic, Morgan Schneiderlin, Ashley Williams, Davy Klaassen (not sure if we're actually paying him anything tbf). Dread to think how much wasted money we're still paying to these players and the previous managers to be honest, but it's been made clear now that Brands is working on reducing the wage budget and that we won't add to it unless we're offloading some of the financial responsibility. He's done well to shift Rooney, Robles, Funes Mori, Klaassen and some others who were on decent whack already but it'll be at least a couple of years before the bleeding stops. Shambles we've been the last 5 years.

Katie Boulter is a fair specimen indeed.
  13. May survives the vote of no confidence at least. Has offered a meeting with all party leaders to discuss Brexit tonight.
  14. Fucking hell. To be fair I imagine May will just be relieved when this is all over.
  15. Pretty obvious but effective demonstration of where Spurs are losing out to City and Liverpool. Top of the league on away form but outside the top six altogether based on home form. Standings are skewed by games in hand of course, but not by that much.
  16. It's already confirmed he's the three eyed raven. The theory I don't understand one jot is the Bran being the Night King theory. We've seen countless Bran visions and none of them involve him leading an army of white walkers and waking up not realising it was him. In fact there was that weird vision where the Night King actually touched him, and then proceeded to send his undead army against that tree cave in order to kill the old Three Eyed Raven, and Bran, the new Three Eyed Raven. Also, both characters were present in that series of scenes while Bran was warged into Hodor. The more you think about it, the less it can even remotely get off the ground, let alone make sense. The Children of the Forest made the Night King, way back in time, unless that man that they stabbed with the dragonglass was somehow a grown up Bran who learned to time travel, the theory is random nonsense.
  17. Well Bran is crippled so it wouldn't make any sense for him to be walking through the crypts like the other three. He's nowhere near those three characters in terms of fan favouriteness.

    Ladies feet

It's not that I have loads of women in my life . You can easily jack off without porn and to be honest another reason I don't regret is you hear about people who get so conditioned to needing porn to get themselves off that real life sex just doesn't do it for them. Obviously that's a minority though, most of us can moderate.

I know it's probably a bit weird but I've really never gotten into porn. I don't regret it because it's another thing to waste time on that I don't do.
  20. Have to agree with a lot of what's been said. Every game now seems to consist of a competitive online mode with an almost endless grind to collect or complete everything or reach the highest possible rank with micro transactions in there whenever you get a bit fed up of said grind. Doesn't help that FIFA and Call of Duty are the two franchises I've played the most over the years and seen devolve into what I've just described. Football Manager is still a really good, pure gaming experience if that's what you're into. Sadly though I've played it to fucking death over the years and don't feel as if I can stick out a proper career on it anymore without getting bored.
  21. What a melt. He might be the first driver ever to be given the cold shoulder entirely by Formula One just because of how much of a dickhead he is.
