Really enjoyed the match, and as far as I understand, Murray is going to attempt a return in singles later in the year as well. Serena was on fire in that match. Doubles is always good fun but without the big names it isn't quite the same in terms of atmosphere and interest. I have realised in the past couple of years that my dip in the amount of tennis I watch shows I'm more of an Andy Murray fan than a tennis fan.
  2. Fingers crossed. Politics and the electorate have been too unpredictable in the last few years to leap straight from this situation to the end of Brexit though.
  3. Not on Netflix but I'd recommend trying Westworld if you're a fan of Lost.
  4. He's right, McLaren have pretty much been the 4th or 5th fastest car at every race. If you can beat them, you're probably the best of the rest.
  5. Not quite Kim Jong Un levels of propaganda from the Brexit party, let's say.

Pretty amazing win to be fair, just annoyed the Serena/Murray debut is put back.

Players aim for their opponents on net points all the time because it's the hardest volley to make. He's just saying it that way to make himself sound like a hardman and a maverick but he's actually just a huge cunt. An absolute chav who probably spent his entire time at school screaming "BuT I dIdN't EvEn Do AnyFiNg" every time he got in trouble for spitting or stealing a juice box from the canteen or whatever other wannabe hardman actions he got up to.
  8. I also can't stand ridiculous bullshit like these. Total immersion killer. You can add Mbappe to Everton to the list as well.

Feliciano Lopez is out as well, losing to Khachanov, the tenth seed. Shame after his double title week at Queens as I thought he could do some damage here.

Wawrinka is the latest big name out. Loses to Opelka 8-6 in the fifth.

Just read that Serena Williams and Andy Murray are playing Mixed Doubles together. That could be interesting!

Thiem (5), Zverev (6), Tsitsipas (7) all out in the first round already. Ties to look out for in the next round: Edmund v Verdasco Khachanov v Lopez Kyrgios v Nadal
  13. He's probably not worth that much but he might be if they get the right coach in to keep developing him. That's a big if though considering the way United have been run over the last decade.

Massive win for the girl but it's one match. Youngsters pull off these wins on a regular basis before disappearing into obscurity by the age of 21 after a year or so of hype, especially on the women's side. It's one match. Let's see how she does against Rybarikova.
  15. It was the ridicule bit I was calling hypocritical when you go on to call Remainers children. We reached the point of both sides being as bad as each other over a year ago. Nobody's keeping score anymore. Everyone is a cunt and neither side can take any high ground at all.
  16. Gasly isn't that slow. He is significantly slower than Max at this stage in his career but the pressure and everything else associated with moving to a new team under these circumstances is making him perform way below his talent level. Red Bull need to be careful here as Kvyat was the first one to get promoted to the A team when he wasn't ready and it messed with his career. Gasly is struggling even more than he did and now faces a long road to recovery even if they give him another chance in the Toro Rosso. I think the longer he stays in the Red Bull, the worse it will be for him. Albon and Kvyat aren't ready for the big seat either. Not everyone can be Vettel or Verstappen. The well is currently running a bit dry in terms of the Red Bull academy. Gasly or Albon could be a solid first team driver for them one day, but until that time comes, they need to consider swallowing their pride and putting a Hulkenberg or a Perez in the car for a year or two. Sainz would actually be the perfect person for them right now as he is performing well for McLaren and is one of their own but the timings didn't work out for them last year for whatever reason.
  17. Kovacic never impressed me this season. In Sarris system where you accept Jorginho does nothing in attack and you dont have a proper goalscoring striker you cant have another of your four non-defenders be someone who never scores or assists. Maybe he'll actually be decent in a different tactical setup.
  18. Whatever happens, I hope Lampard does well. Always had time for him when he was in that England side at a time where Terry, Ashley Cole and others weren't exactly covering themselves in glory off the pitch, he always seemed to keep himself grounded and sensible.
  19. Gasly has gone into the senior team too early, he may have had a chance of surviving there with another year or two of experience at Toro Rosso first but he's been thrown too much into the deep end. Sticking Albon in there would be just as much of a career assassination in my opinion, too soon for him.

Enjoying today's finals at Queens Club. Andy Murray in the doubles final on his comeback alongside Feliciano Lopez, who won the singles final earlier today. They've won the first set on a tie break against Ram and Salisbury.
  21. Gasly outside the points today. Not going well for him at all. Can see him getting replaced next year if not before, but who else do Red Bull have? Depends how long it is until Ticktum can get the points for his superlicence I suppose as well. I think the Honda engine is vastly overrated as well. People have been saying it's a step in the right direction to move from Renault to Honda. It's all propaganda. In Canada all of the Mclarens and Renaults were in the top ten for the speed trap with Red Bull and Toro Rosso nowhere to be seen, and we saw Norris easily outdrag Verstappen on the back straight in a straight fight without slipstream or DRS. This weekend we saw Ricciardo breeze past Gasly on a straight without much trouble either and the Mclarens again looked strong in a straight line. Honda have definitely developed the power unit to quite an extent but I can't agree with those saying it's up there with the longer serving manufacturers, not yet.
  22. Your daily reminder that this man who expects people to believe this letter was written by an actual 10 year old (7 years old when the referendum happened) off their own back is somehow one of the most effective politicians in our country in the past 10 years.
  23. There isn't much to discuss is there? Last year was much better as until the last 6 or 7 races there was still a title fight. Doesn't look like Bottas is quite up to it unfortunately. Only way this championship is in doubt is if Hamilton has at least a couple of mechanical failures or major incidents. Need to catch up on the last couple of BOTG podcasts.
