  1. Yep because asking what sort of fan account they are is making a massive deal out of it. I'd also call glorifying that assault from Kuyt more than nothing before you even get onto the deliberate and unashamed hypocrisy from whoever tweeted that which is just a bonus. Rick and Gonzo had very little issue answering my question and moving on so there's really no need for you to get defensive. It seems I'm not the only one who found it a dodgy thing to tweet. Thankfully there are plenty of Reds who have more semblance of self-awareness than whichever imbecile thought it would be "banter" to make that tweet, as you can see by the most liked replies to it:
  2. Football fans are hypocrites, but I get the impression with The Anfield Wrap that they fancy themselves as a bit more 'serious' like a semi-professional publication going off the fact they have been arsed enough to get blue tick verification on their Twitter account, they have video content, and appear to have sent someone out to America or wherever it was to cover the match. But that is my actual question here, is that what they are, or are they just a massively popular #sixtimeslaaa troll account that are more interested in using their following to try and wind up Everton and Man Utd fans on Twitter even if it means undermining the justified outrage Liverpool feel towards Sevilla and their behaviour last night?
  3. This isn't an "all Liverpool fans are hypocritical cunts" post by any means but I do have to ask the question here. As far as I'm aware The Anfield Wrap is one of the more popular liverpool fan accounts or sites, so when something that (again, correct me if I'm wrong) a number of Reds swear by starts posting stuff like this series of tweets below, is it really a surprise when dickheads from other clubs come out with stuff like "offended by everything, ashamed of nothing" and "always the victims"? Again, just to be absolutely clear, I'm not looking for a high horse FC point scoring competition, I'm just genuinely interested in how this fan group is perceived and where you lot stand on them posting like this because it's pretty cringeworthy. Also note the number of likes from their followers on the attempted assault from Dirk Kuyt they're trying to glorify compared to the match reports and actual news from a match that happened last night.
  4. Right folks, so you know when you're in a bar, and you follow the signs to go to the toilet, and on that corridor you go down to get to the gents or ladies, there are always a few other mysterious and heavily locked doors that lead to various barrel rooms, private quarters, kitchens, and God knows what else? Well earlier tonight, it's time for me to go for a piss, so I head out of the main bar through the door with the toilets sign above it, and what do I come face to face with? Only this bad boy: Sorry it's sideways but this shit is real. I later noticed a further Rich Energy poster in the main bar area, featuring an actual image of an energy drink can with Rich Energy's current logo emblazoned upon it. Its happening folks, RE are starting with the Isle of Man and making the world belong to them from there. #betterthanredbull #nobull #etcetc @nudge @Tommy @... @Stan @Eco @MUFC @DeadLinesman
  5. 40 million for a 17 year old? That gives me some serious vertigo.
  6. Still funny but the maverick phase passed a while ago. Now I'm laughing at him rather than with him.
  7. While I do hope it's alright, it didn't look like it went down in the video. Maybe shouldn't run directly into fences if it doesn't want to get hurt .
  8. I know nobody else will care but this is so satisfying:
  9. All this nonsense about Pogba still going on. It's become such a circus that now it's just white noise as far as I'm concerned. He and Raiola have managed to over-publicise him into irrelevance because nobody cares anymore. If he played a part in a goal against Leeds in a pre season friendly on the other side of the world though I assume he's retained his status as a world class midfield player so at least he's got that going for him.
  10. Posted those tweets the wrong way round but whatever. Some interesting summative stats.
  11. Ryan Greggs . Beginning to think I'm not going to be arsed with this fifa. Playing F1 the last few weeks has reminded me what it's like to actually have fun playing a game.
  12. Just like the Premier League Team of the Season, just confirms it's done off pure hype and social media levels rather than people watching the actual television and deciding whether its worthwhile. Then again, if most of those Emmys are for acting or production value stuff then it's probably fair enough.
  13. This is so sad but so true. It doesn't just go for the UK either even though I think it's definitely worse here than elsewhere.
  14. I saw this tweet yesterday and I thought it was some sort of fake/parody. Incredibly, I was wrong. It's alright lads, don't worry about the economy, jobs, human rights, imports, exports, or anything else that affects your day to day lives. What's important is that English/British sports teams can win major events without Europe's help and that's the thing you should take away from England winning the Cricket World Cup, that it is somehow evidence that we'll be alright outside the EU. These people actually have to get voted into influential positions by tens of thousands of our electorate though so once again I suppose we get what we deserve.

Yeah he's had a few finals where he's taken a decisive lead and been pegged back. To be fair though Djokovic was a break up in the 5th as well today and got broken straight back as well.

Did the same against Novak years ago at the US. Federer was serving for it, Djokovic hit a now famous "close my eyes and hope for the best" return winner and went on to win in five sets.

Superb and ridiculous match. Doesn't quite hit the heights of the 2008 final for me but still one of the best of all time.
  18. I didn't see the disallowed goal but yeah I watched the majority of it. The first of the two handballs was hilariously obvious.
  19. A riveting 0-0 draw with Sion in the Alps this afternoon. Digne, Pickford, Sigurdsson, Bernard with their first action of pre season in the second half. Next game is Monaco on Friday.
