Jenson Button to become a father.

4 in a row? OGS stringing together another phenomenal run of victories.

The real GOAT is Markus Winkelhock. Didn't see Hamilton or Vettel leading in a Spyker on their debuts.
-
Yeah but if you had certain other clubs taking that many to an away friendly match they'd be getting absolutely rimmed for transcending the sport or being more than just a football club, while our lot get called the worst fans in the world and toxic for groaning at 3 years of shite, spineless performances so I'll throw a bit of positive publicity out there for us.

Everton fans hate all Everton players and each other though so doesn't really mean anything.

He was injured a lot last season, had a couple of dodgy games, but generally been decent. Just tends to get disproportionate amount of criticism from yer da because he smiles a lot and dances.
-
If you get your opinions from Liverpool Twitter, then yes. Probably also if you get your opinions from Everton Twitter to be fair.

Away at Wigan tonight, kick off in ten minutes. Pretty much a full strength team for us aside from the absence of Gueye and Richarlison. Pickford Coleman Mina Keane Digne Gomes Delph Walcott Sigurdsson Bernard Calvert-Lewin Looking at that highlights the work we still need to do before the window closes... Mirallas on the bench, just leave please.

This is the rule he has broken apparently. Fair enough, he probably should have known, but it's a pretty stupid rule. Players aren't allowed to bet on sport and are therefore not allowed to advertise betting on sport.
-
I can't find any source yet that clarifies why this is an FA charge. Mostly just people pointing out that it's a bit mad when over half of the Premier League clubs advertise gambling on their shirts in every match. When I first saw the headline I thought he'd put illegal bets on of some sort but obviously not. Basically this is a big fuss over nothing and he'll get a small fine of some description.
-
Apparently for appearing in a betting advert that he was specifically prohibited from doing or something..
-
Yerry Mina charged with some betting related offence. Don't know how stupid you have to be to get involved with this when you're a professional player.

Ricciardo was a big feature last year. I want to know about why Kubica hasn't been quick, how Red Bull are trying to help Gasly get up to speed, where Vettel's head is at behind closed doors, I want to see footage of Sainz and Norris at the McLaren factory and how they're making up so much ground, how Guenther Steiner is handling the mess at Haas, Kvyat on his return to F1 and what has changed in the sport and for him. Renault along with Mercedes are probably one of the least interesting teams this year. Even the Ricciardo and Hulkenberg battle hasn't really taken off. I wouldn't mind them spending some time with Toto Wolff. I like Ricciardo but I felt like we got enough of him last year.

More "he was around when Fergie was boss so he'll automatically know how to help get the club back there" delusion from United. Becoming a true parody now.

An actual update on the stadium (sort of). Nice short video.

Olympique de Marseille Discussion
RandoEFC replied to Batard's topic in French Football Forum - Ligue 1
If Thauvin is remotely available we should be all over that. -
I didn't see any of the stuff from last night apart from the main incident. It does sound weird, we played them in a friendly two summers back and I don't remember them being like that. It's very rare you see or hear a team over stepping the mark in a friendly to a significant extent above Sunday League level.
-
Starting to wonder now about our transfer business. It's looking like we will see our squad finally taking shape a lot closer to the first game than we'd hoped, like last summer. The prevailing rumours seem to be that we'll make three more permanent signings and a loan. If we want to have two players per position, we need to get a shift on as some of these will leave: GK: Pickford/Lossl/Stekelenburg RB: Coleman/??? CB: Keane/Mina/Holgate/??? LB: Digne/Baines CDM: Gomes/Gueye/Schneiderlin/Delph/Davies/McCarthy RM: Walcott/Lookman LM: Richarlison/Bernard CAM: Sigurdsson/??? ST: Calvert-Lewin/Tosun/Niasse I expect at least McCarthy, Lookman, probably Tosun, hopefully Niasse and possibly Schneiderlin are headed for the door this summer. This leaves us with a lengthy to do list for the next 3 weeks or less: 1) Sign a right back to compete with Coleman and preferably one good enough to eventually take over as first choice in the next year or two. 2) Sign a first choice centre back. I still think Mina will come good but he needs to be made to earn his place in the side if we're to be sure. 3) Sign a right winger who can play as first choice. Walcott wasn't productive enough last season. This player will take Lookman's place in the squad. If Lookman stays or we promote Broadhead or another youth player then we'll start the season with Richarlison on the right and Bernard on the left which isn't the end of the world I guess as it worked well last season. 4) Sign a goalscorer. Tosun is unreliable and will probably be sold. Niasse just isn't good enough. Calvert-Lewin is a great option to have as one of two strikers or as a second-choice but isn't yet ready to lead the line for a full season. Going into the new season without a reliable goalscorer will cost us 10-15 points in the league and we can't do this for another season. Possible 5) We still don't really have competition for Sigurdsson. However with the signings of Gomes and Delph, the club's insistence that Gueye will stay and no guarantee that Schneiderlin will leave either, I'm beginning to think that the management have decided that they see Tom Davies' future as an advanced midfield player, so perhaps they already think this spot is filled. Possible 6) If Gueye does move on we will obviously need to replace him properly too. Brands and Silva don't see Delph as a Gueye replacement. Tick, tock.

@Dr. Gonzo I was mainly trying to finish the debate . I think it's hard to compare the two incidents. I'm not going to bother comparing them at all actually. Suffice to say that in both scenarios, we can all see red mist and do something stupid, which applies to Kuyt, Gnagnon, all the way down to me the time I destroyed my PS3 controller because I got too angry at the lag on a game of Call of Duty fucking me over. The extremity of the offence (as long as we stick to comparing bad tackles in football anyway) doesn't really matter if all that happened was a bad decision in the heat of the moment that you know and admit afterwards was a mistake and apologise if necessary. It takes premeditated Roy Keane type behaviour where he injured someone on person and admitted it to really take it to the next level.
-
@Dr. Gonzo they should ask the all knowing public whether we should be arsed with the middle east. If we don't need food, medicine or a functioning health system "because we're British and we're a great country" then I'm sure we can do without oil or indeed any fuel as well.
-
I suppose that's a fair way to look at it.
-
Why are we even still anywhere near the Middle East? I thought the people had decided that we wanted nothing to do with other countries anymore?
-
What was it they called the Labour party for about 18 months, "fundamentally anti-semitic"? Words to that effect anyway. I wonder if this will prompt an 18 month smear campaign in the national press where they try to brand the Conservative party as fundamentally pro-sex offenders.

I was just trying to distinguish. Yes football fans are hypocrites, I wouldn't bat an eyelid if it was KensingtonKopLad1998 who tweeted that because what do you expect but I was surprised to see it come from an account claiming to be some sort of serious media outlet, that's literally all.
