Not today, no tie break in the fifth set.

Effectively sudden death now. I expect Roger will just edge it as he has a more consistent serve to fall back on in the creaky moments.

Time to squeeze in a set of this before watching the Everton friendly match. Surprised to see 6-1 in the second.
  4. Yeah but that's the case with so many young players. We seem to loan them to the Championship, they show they're good enough for the Championship, then stay good enough for the Championship - Robinson is the most recent example of a player who had a bit of hype around him last summer. Then you've got all the Garbutts, Galloways, Dowells, Lundstrams over the years who were amongst the best in the club and national youth teams and just hit a brick wall at that sort of Championship level.
  5. Tarashaj has gone for another loan to FC Emmen. I literally can't remember the last time we loaned a player out who went on to become a half decent first team player. I suppose Barkley had a loan at Sheffield Wednesday and Holgate will probably feature for us this season, but in general, getting loaned out as a young Everton player increasingly seems to spell the end of your potential to cut it at the club.

Simona Halep beats Serena Williams 6-2 6-2 to win the Wimbledon Womens Final.
  7. Good, race strategy has been miserably boring since they took it out.

One of my house mates went for one of the first days and said it was class. It's not realistic for me to go as its during term time so I'm already limited to a weekend visit if I try to go. Thought the first half of the match was a bit disappointing but the back end of set 3 and a lot of set 4 were superb. Shame Rafa couldn't force it to a fifth set. Sunday's final is hard to call, I think it will be a very close match.
  9. I usually like Honest Trailers but this video is yet another copy and paste of the same criticisms all of the major pop culture channels on YouTube made after the finale 3 months ago. Their first Game of Thrones trailer is good.
  10. I don't think they've really said. Most estimates seem to be around 2022 but that seems a bit ambitious now seeing as we're yet to stick a spade in the ground. Probably the 2023-24 season earliest.

At least two more sets in this Djokovic match so the bulk of Roger and Rafa's match will be after 5pm.
  12. Gueye scored the only goal in Senegal's quarter final win over Benin, after a nice link up with Mane. He really developed his box to box game throughout the second half of the season so even more reason to hope he stays, although the links with PSG have resurfaced today. I'd hoped that having signed Herrera they'd cool their interest.
  13. What a ridiculous company. Makes me wonder whether this was a huge wind up by somebody with too much money. I remember when they first signed up you had to order their energy drink from the website because it wasn't in shops yet or something insane. Hopefully this doesn't leave Haas up shit creak financially in any way.
  14. All of the above. I'd expect him to be around half a second off Max and gradually close in. The rest of the gap is down to it being too soon to deal with the pressure mentally in my opinion and possibly a few technical things like not being suited to this year's car/tyres. Maybe the Red Bull is hard to adapt to which is giving Max a further head start. Remember Fisichella getting pole position for Force India in 2009 then being 2 seconds off Raikkonen when Ferrari drafted in because that car had an insane learning curve? That shouldn't be the case here though as the Toro Rosso should be pretty similar to the Red Bull.

Really enjoyed the match, and as far as I understand, Murray is going to attempt a return in singles later in the year as well. Serena was on fire in that match. Doubles is always good fun but without the big names it isn't quite the same in terms of atmosphere and interest. I have realised in the past couple of years that my dip in the amount of tennis I watch shows I'm more of an Andy Murray fan than a tennis fan.
  16. Fingers crossed. Politics and the electorate have been too unpredictable in the last few years to leap straight from this situation to the end of Brexit though.
  17. Not on Netflix but I'd recommend trying Westworld if you're a fan of Lost.
  18. He's right, McLaren have pretty much been the 4th or 5th fastest car at every race. If you can beat them, you're probably the best of the rest.
  19. Not quite Kim Jong Un levels of propaganda from the Brexit party, let's say.

Pretty amazing win to be fair, just annoyed the Serena/Murray debut is put back.

Players aim for their opponents on net points all the time because it's the hardest volley to make. He's just saying it that way to make himself sound like a hardman and a maverick but he's actually just a huge cunt. An absolute chav who probably spent his entire time at school screaming "BuT I dIdN't EvEn Do AnyFiNg" every time he got in trouble for spitting or stealing a juice box from the canteen or whatever other wannabe hardman actions he got up to.
  22. I also can't stand ridiculous bullshit like these. Total immersion killer. You can add Mbappe to Everton to the list as well.

Feliciano Lopez is out as well, losing to Khachanov, the tenth seed. Shame after his double title week at Queens as I thought he could do some damage here.

Wawrinka is the latest big name out. Loses to Opelka 8-6 in the fifth.
