  1. So if Germany sack Low and come in for Klopp are Liverpool still going to win the league this year? Need to know for betting purposes.
  2. Remember the Brexit vote two years ago? Lol that's coming along nicely. We continue to be an absolute shambles of a country as evidenced by the fact that Theresa May is still leading the country and Boris fucking Johnson is still in a leading position in the negotiations. Not pointing fingers at the Tories because Labour are an equally disorganised and inept pack of mongs even if I do like some of Corbyn's ideas. His novelty has well and truly worn off as well. Time to get behind Russell Brand's revolution. There goes my anger at this whole situation, I'll go back to the next several months of absolute apathy again.
  3. Shite race again. The only overtaking was all overly DRS assisted and even that wouldn't have happened if Secrashtien hadn't caused chaos at the start. Kimi is giving me AIDs as well. I love the guy but I'm sick and tired of his mediocre performances. It's time to retire Kimi. F1 needs to sort itself out. So many issues making for rubbish races. Even the "bubblegum" tyres which are meant to be the least durable of SEVEN compounds will last 50 laps at some circuits, overtaking is either impossible or too easy thanks to DRS which either needs to be scrapped or sorted so that it doesn't lead to cars completing an overtake 200 yards before the braking zone. Only crashes and rain lead to good races at the moment.
  4. Vettel causing chaos at the start, as bad as Crashstappen. Bottas unlucky again.
  5. I personally think Avus is the best most varied track .
  6. Someone had this on a t-shirt at the TT the other week, it appeared on reddit today. The track around the outside is the Snaefell Mountain Course, home of the Isle of Man's very own TT races, with dozens of other world renowned race tracks laid out inside it. Really puts into perspective how Le Mans and the Nordschleife pale in comparison to a real race track like the TT circuit. @nudge @Tommy
  7. @nudge you'll need to explain the appeal of this to me. What sort of race with a 2 minute gap between 1st and 2nd with 3rd place 11 laps behind has any excitement to it? Looks like you just wait for an entire day to see which guys crash or break down.
  8. World Cup themed F1 livery concepts . Reminds me of that A1GP series they tried to start.
  9. You should come over and watch some time, we have great beer on this little rock .
  10. To be fair the TT usually claims more than 2 lives and often they're the lives of local or visiting spectators not necessarily the participants. Not to suggest for a second that it is anything other than tragic but these young men know the risks they're taking when they get on bikes at that speed, especially at the TT which is possibly the most insane race in world motorsport.

After Liverpool fans, moths have to be the most annoying and pointless creatures on the planet. I swear that bastard fluttering around my ceiling every time I try and go to bed and hiding whenever I get up to sort him out is the 5th one that's made it's way in here this weekend.

All that money we got from leaving the EU remember .
  13. Your boy Seb disagrees. Pretty sure he was the #1 fan of the pit boys they had on show a few races ago. I quite like a lot of the new graphics and the random stats and facts they've introduced but that Avengers-style music they play at the start of qualifying and race sessions this season is the absolute height of American cringeness. Whether they had any hand in that super model waving the chequered flag is open to criticism after she messed it up today too. Overall I'm mostly fine with what they're doing but some of the suggestions they put out a while ago were worrying. Not on a par with Bernies sprinklers and medal systems yet though.
  14. Another terrible Grand Prix. Time to bring Bernie back so he can push through the rule that every track should have sprinklers installed that come on at random during a race.
  15. Hamilton isn't on it this weekend. Mistake on his way out of the pit lane and he's now behind Ricciardo too.
  16. Massive lap one crash as Hartley gets stuck between an out of control Stroll and some cement. Hartley unfortunate there for me though Brundle and Croft think he was being ambitious.

Time to resurrect this thread. I haven't been watching much in Murray's absence but watching the French Open final right now. Nadal going for number 11 in Paris and looks too strong for Dominic Thiem of Austria who has always impressed me and continues to do so today in his first grand slam final. Rafa is just too good on this court for anyone besides prime Djokovic. Federer to return for the grass court season and some positive noises that Andy Murray will be back for Queens and Wimbledon as well. @JOSHBRFC @Machado @Eco we been keeping up with things?
  18. What was the verdict on qualifying yesterday? I was out, thought Hamilton was nailed on for pole but not even the top Mercedes? Maybe he deliberately qualified behind Max to decrease the risk of getting torpedoed on lap one.
  19. So right now, in most countries, the bank holds people's savings and lends out money. They work on a basis that if Mr A, Mr B, Mr C and Mr D all have £100 in their accounts then the bank "owes" them £400 overall when they want their money. However, if Mr E wants to borrow £200 from the bank for 12 months, they can lend them the other people's money in the knowledge that they probably won't all want to withdraw their cash during those 12 months. On a larger scale the assumption is that even if a bank only "has" 10% of the money in their customers accounts, enough people will be putting money back into their accounts to satisfy the financial needs of all of the money leaving the bank through withdrawals and transfers. Well sort of. So now rather than bank accounts and loans being essentially a massive list of who owes who hypothetical money at some point in the future, in Switzerland they will be more like an actual money exchange service where you go and ask for a loan of €10,000 and the bank can't give it to you unless there is at least €10,000 of savings around? I do think I'm following you but I don't think I've explained it back very well....
  20. Im interested in this. Can you elaborate using small and simple words? Its not for me because I studied Economics at university and definitely haven't forgotten almost all of it, it's so that other people can understand.
  21. Looking forward to a new fifa, this last one was such a pile of AIDs but the first fifa I'd bought since about 2010 so still played a lot. I imagine if the next version is similar to 2018 (which it will be) I'll take another lengthy hiatus from the franchise.
  22. I think it doesn't offer much. After opening a few packs and playing a few tournaments offline and online there's not much else on offer. Would be good if they had some sort of weekly/daily objectives like normal Ultimate Team.
  23. Just downloading the update now. Should be fun for a bit.
