  1. I think it was pretty clear all weekend that Ferrari have the edge at least over a single lap.
  2. What? Hamilton couldn't keep up with Ferrari either. They were just faster today. If Mercedes have the race pace tomorrow he could easily take the victory.
  3. Chance for Haas, Toro Rosso or Renault to start on row 3 now with Hamilton and Verstappen in bother.
  4. I say this every year but we should all watch more Formula 2. Very high standard of driving and better racing in general than F1. Lando Norris about to take victory in Race 1 at Bahrain. Markelov who started from the pitlane chasing down Sette Camara for 2nd in the closing stages.
  5. 5 place grid drop for Lewis Hamilton...
  6. Never really heard of McGregor until all the hype around his fight with Late Mayweather. Pretty obvious from that he's a massive cunt yet for some reason has a massive fanbase who idolise him. Hopefully not after this.
  7. Pogba is shite anyway. Made for PSG where he can be treated as if he's world class because he scores a screamer every few weeks against Strasbourg or Montpellier.
  8. Are you going to offer any more of your opinions on other clubs and players, for example Liverpool or more specifically Mo Salah?
  9. Fuck off. I absolutely hate DRS. If I want to see one car cruising past another on a long straight I'll go and stand on a bridge above a motorway (and probably jump off it). F1 should be the best drivers in the best cars overtaking by braking as late as possible and testing the limits of grip. They do need to simplify the front wings and generally redesign the cars do that they rely less on downforce and get disrupted less in the dirty air of another car. I've heard creating downforce more from the floor and diffuser instead of the wings could be helpful.
  10. Class game. Dunno if you're into Game of Thrones but if so that mod is worth playing. Sunk more hours into that than the original game by quite some distance.
  11. Elstone (CEO) appears to be on his way out to take over Super League. Kenwright I don't dislike as much as some Evertonians but he's long outstayed his welcome. Brands coming in to replace Walsh, Moshiri taking the reins properly and a new manager to come in and try to move the club forward will make me happy. Even if it goes tits up (again), that can happen, just want to see us try rather than treading water. Having all these new people agreeing on what they want to see and working towards it as a cohesive unit is what will make it a success.
  12. Stuff like that is apocalypse territory. There always needs to be some input from a human being when it comes to taking out a target or threat, even if the AI does all the aiming and calculations and just leaves the human to press the ok button.
  13. The tweet is classic Peoples Group who I'm not arsed about but the letter being posted is bang on.
  14. I hope when Conte inevitably leaves that he's still remembered for the positive side of his time at Chelsea. I can't remember seeing anything quite like what happened last season with a bold formation change like the wing back formation he used turned a clubs season around and saw them romp to a title like that. Doesn't seem like a cunt either aside from the usual moaning about referees that comes from other top managers.
  15. Away in Madeira for a week. Will make sure I get a snap of the Ronaldo statue on my way home for the members pictures thread. First time abroad in almost three years so enjoying the opportunity to get at least a bit of a tan back.
  16. https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/11095/11316202/psv-technical-director-marcel-brands-to-join-everton?__twitter_impression=true Marcel Brands on his way to Everton, surely to replace Steve Walsh. This means that the Fabra link that was posted yesterday is more likely to have some truth to it as Brands has a reputation for bringing South Americans to PSV. If this is all true it gives me faith that the new regime will be in place sooner rather than later, sans Big Sam, Little Sam and Shakespeare.
  17. Steven Pienaar returns to Everton in the role of International Ambassador
  18. I don't really care about the grid girls as so many races are on at 5am in Britain these days that I don't wake up early enough to appreciate them. The halo is bad but also not that noticeable when it comes to the quality of racing. Other issues discussed are much more relevant to the racing which is what I want to see from F1.
  19. Do you remember when he suggested introducing sprinklers on the side of the tracks to come on at random and create a wet race? And the medals system that almost made it through the door. He started it (because he's totally business-driven not because he didn't understand the sport).
  20. Hope that doesn't come to fruition. F1 needs to be a different sport to the feeder series where entertainment is more important than fair competition. Going down the route of reverse grids and qualifying races reduces the value of the Grand Prix and takes away from Formula 1 as a sport. I have to say it's bothered me for years how much F1 management have started to try and pander to the casual fan to get viewership up with stuff like DRS. There needs to be some valuation of tradition and why F1 always had a big enough following in the first place from the people who enjoyed it for the pure motorsport it was and the organic drama it produced between the world's best racing drivers. However I'm resigned that the sport will move away from naturally occurring drama towards gimmicky manufactured drama with stuff like double points at the last race, reverse grids etc. to pull people with no attention span in from the smart phone generation.

    Boxing

Have to agree. I watch boxing in the Olympics as it may lack the top athletes and therefore the quality but without all the shite it's actually an enjoyable sport I can appreciate. All the shit talking and squaring up at weigh ins and stuff is embarrassing really. Odd that not many people take the piss out of grown men pretending to act like hormonal 13 year olds trying to act hard in front of their mates in the playground for the benefit of the press looking for footage for their previews. How much stick do footballers get for play acting like that? Also is there any reason fight organisers and managers and stuff don't seem to get much flack for taking millions of pounds from a sport when they offer next to no expertise to it, like agents do in football?
