  1. Hasn't there been at least rumours of quite a bit of this happening with footballers? Sterling I believe was accused of it when he was a teenager.

Last night was the first time I've been out into town for New Year. Wasn't any worse than a normal night to be fair.
  3. Started a new Ultimate Team as I've got back into FIFA over Christmas with the down time. My first UT was shite as I just mashed the top rated players into a squad with no chemistry. This time I've gone with a Spanish/La Liga squad with a couple of irrelevant players I've got in packs and are two good to leave out. Early days but: [Servers down, will post later]
  4. More midfielders and wingers? Baffling if true.

Happy birthday mate. Still remember the days of traipsing the off topic thread at 3am on TFF along with @Dan and others when we were all 21-23 .
  6. Rosicky had the odd amazing run of games from what I remember. Mostly I remember him being class when he was in the PES4 default Master League team under his alter ego of Roloski or something.
  7. Well then obviously he's just shite if he's got fewer league goals/assists than Lingard.
  8. Lingard has done well lately but you're comparing him to the wrong players. Hazard has flattered to deceive as usual (not to say he isn't a top player), Sanchez has been bang average, Firmino is pretty good but in and out of the team and Mane has missed a number of games. Calvert-Lewin has 3 goals and 6 assists, doesn't mean he's been better than this lot.
  9. Kenny is the one to watch. Holgate if he can perform consistently at centre back like he has for the last few games is another first team player that'll do 10 years for us. Calvert-Lewin I don't think he finishes well enough to be our first choice down the line but another useful player.

    Tips & Bets 365

Trying something fresh on the betting front.
  11. That gets said every year. Even moreso when we draw instead of you lot tonking us 4-0 funnily enough. I'm not even actually disagreeing with what you're saying beyond the terminology. Pack in the "drastic" and the "light years" and replace it with "below par" and "quite a distance" and you're spot on. End of this season we'll be about 8th with no trophies and no league title since the 80s and you lot will be about 4th with no trophies and no league title since the 80s. Light years of difference .
  12. We're poor and there's a lot of shite in our squad but you're exaggerating there on every point. The squad on the whole is not awful. Martina is probably awful, Baines and Jagielka along with a few others are getting over the hill but the squad as a whole is full of decent players who have played like gash for most of this season. Light years away from the top six depends how you define light years. We've had the worst few months I can remember as an Everton fan yet we are "only" 9 points behind the bottom of the Spurs-Chelsea cluster. Plenty of work to do to get back in amongst it. We need about 4 new players throughout the side with some pace and power about them then we'll see.
  13. I expect we will be the 7th best team for the rest of the season even if we don't get back there in the table. Last few games our players have actually performed at their expected level instead of drastically below. Lo and behold we've picked up 3 wins and a draw in four games. Who'd have thought.
  14. Was expecting a big episode tonight the way it was played up. Some decent moments but overall underwhelming. Too many plot threads at the moment but I'm probably just struggling to keep track as I've only just binged myself up to date.
  15. One positive for United after yesterday - Lukaku does have some bottle after all.
  16. Onyekuru scores again for Anderlecht tonight. 9 goals in 16 and joint top scorer over there.
  17. You're correct, my gripe is that a) this is a sharp wake up call for Brexiteers who churn out tripe like "why should we have to pay to leave?" and "if we have to pay that much to leave we just shouldn't make a deal with them". This was always going to happen and the number of Leave voters who ever thought paying a significant bill was ever going to be avoidable is further evidence of people having no idea what they were voting for. And b) Theresa May trying to sell it as an opportunity for us to spend more money on welfare, education and the health service in the same sentence as admitting we'll be paying all this money to the EU without seeing the benefits of being in the EU in return.
  18. Don't give such a one sided view. Once we've paid £35-39 billion to leave we'll have SO MUCH MORE MONEY to put into housing, schools and the NHS.
  19. And the cringe of the week award goes to...
