  1. Well, from my point of view, there's a important difference: While Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are parts of the UK and therefore got the right to vote in this election, the Isle of Man and the Channel Irelands aren't as crown depencies and therefore got no voting right.
  2. Out of curiosity: Does this election have any impact on you and the way your governed, foreign politicy aside? Asking since I seem to remember your living on the Isle of Man? Genuine question? Edit: Googled it and saw all laws with validity for the whole UK are valid on the Isle of man as well, so yes it has.
  3. The new Buli and 2.Liga schedules are published. The free TV opening match on Friday, the 23rd of August, will be Gladbach - Leverkusen. Positively surprised, although the reigning champions opening the new season is given I was expecting their opponents would be Bayern. A Buli match broadcasted on free TV and sold to many foreign countries not featuring Bayern? Next press conference with Hoeneß complaining about others referring to human rights incoming?
  4. Since VFB are contesting that absolutely necessary Supercup final on the weekend, when all other teams will be playing bar themselfes Leverkusen and their respective opponents the first round, their match at Münster will be on Tuesday, the 28th of Aug, at 20:45 CET. Leverkusen's match will be at the same time a day later. All other matches will be played between 16th of August and the 19th. If you're interested in a specific match, look it up.
  5. That's a bit of an odd judgement, since Greifswald were never of any significance during the DDR Oberliga times. Bit like saying Feucht versus KSC would be an old BRD showdown.
  6. That's one possibility of interpreting it, another one is it was the disappointment of missing the chance of declaring himself the player, who secured Portugal's advancing to the next round.
  7. You mean calling an offside offside and a pretty usual procedure before Germany's first goal a foul?
  8. Also, he's only 22years old, playingmight be pivotal for his development. Can't speak about the quality of Brugge's squad, but gut feeling says he could be in a surrounding, where'd be played more than with an average Buli club. There are lot of legit reasons other than money for younger players to decide their future club. @Michael so many pplayers even in their best age going to Saudi Arabian or Qatari leagues put your assumption most players would to play in a stronger league a bit in another light.
  9. Most players would probably, not all though: Lutz Pfannenstiel, who preferred a career in eg Albania's, Malaysia's, Singapur's among others of the same ilk 1st tiers over one in the German 3rd to 2nd tier, although the latter paid better, says hello.
  10. Well, he'll be playing Champions League in Brugge! And with all due respect to Tziolis performances can't imagine him getting a chance at Leverkusen, Bayern, Leipzig, or Dortmund! At most at Stuttgart and even there it would be questionable.
  11. Having seen this free kick I'm wondering whether Portugal weren't better off without Ronaldo egoistically trying to show how he's still a football hero.
  12. How was this presley song called the dead Kennedys covered? Ah yes: Viva Las Vegas!
  13. Yep, Southgate's tactical instruction to Trippier to misplace a 10-15 m pass to Guehi, so the latter had to foul his opponent and being given a yellow card at the begin of the match and score a rugby fiel goal from a good position in the first half instead of putting the ball into the net clearly didn't work.
  14. During the match an unauthorized person was on the Dortmund stadium roof. The ref calling the captains of the two teams to come to him before the 2nd half, and all of them looking upwards and the delayed restart was apparently more due to this than the wheather. It took the police until an hour after the match to bring said person down from the roof and arrest them. Nothing known about their motivation, yet.
  15. @The Palace Fan How comes the comfortably best defense of the tournament (your words) conceded against Denmark, if an average German defense, that was weakened by a banning on top, didn't? Edit: Perhaps England allowed so little xG because their opponents had the significant quality of not being able to score, well with the exception against the shit defenses of the other teams in their group?
  16. Well, let's not forget the opener that didn't stand was a German one..
  17. Trump also said he would build a wall at the Mexican border and let Mexico pay the the cost of it. So much to the believability of what Trump says.
  18. Would prefer Anton, due to Schlotterbeck having a slight tendency to be sloppy.
  19. Switzerland 1-0 Italy Germany 2-0 Denmark England 0-0 Slovakia Spain 2-1 Georgia France 1-0 Belgium Portugal 3-0 Slovenia Romania 0-4 Netherlands Austria 2-1 Turkey
  20. Since you change your username quite frequently anyway: DId you consider "Oracle of Delphi"?
  21. At the bolded part of course it is, that was tongue in cheek. At the more concentrating on your own deficency part, perhaps am a bit touchy here, still that's due to a former tournament, can't remember which one and am lazy to look it up, when Italy were third in there group behind Sweden and Denmark. The innitial situation was Sweden and Denmark needed to draw to qualify for the next round, while Italy needed to win versus Bulgaria and the other match not being a draw to padvance. In the end Italy played 0-0 versus Bulögaria and Sweden- Dennark finished in a draw. Now comes the point, which gave me a bad feeling Italians cried foul and claimed they could have won 3-0 against Bulgaria and wouldn't had qualified for the next round. My reaction was: " No you couldn't had won 3-0 versus Bulgaria, you couldn't even win 1-0. Why don't you admit you would have gone out regardless of the other result yet claim these other teams had screwed you?" am very sensitive towards such forseeable or unsurprisingly comments, from fans of teams that need other teams to win to progress, and don't even win their own game, ever since.
  22. Both scored a goal in their respective match. If the Ukraine had done the same they'd top their group. More concentrating on your own deficencies and less believing in conspiracy theories would be my advice. Even, if you don't take this advice there's still an interesting question: Romania have won against the Ukraine 3-0, while Slovakia won versus Belgium which the Ukraine couldn't. From this point of view, how are Ukraine deserving to advance over 1 of these 2 teams?
  23. Doesn't look like it at the moment. Although wouldn't rule out Mail making claims out of their arse trusting on none of their readers being capable of speaking Romanian and giving a flying fart of fact checking them.
  24. Can't stretch this enough, being more distanced and critical towards a team's performance than this Team's supporters is completely normal and has nothing to do with being biased against a team. Same is true for malificient comments.
  25. Claiming to to follow an outstanding team, in whatever respect, after performing like England did in all of their group matches, will cause my contradiction, anyway. Regardless whoever is going to do it, since it's either deluded or disrespectful. You're absolutely correct.
