  7. Wel, @nawoo predicted less than half of the season, so no reason to celebrate that.
  8. Ladies and gents, we have a winner, the only question left is who will win the bonus round, still that has no bearing on the final table and won't be waited for by me, therefore. On a sidenote: Hats off to @Coma, while there were 4 players predicting another champion than Bayern, he was the only one winning the full 3 points for predicting them finishing on 3rd spot. Bonus round 1) 6666 15 points 2) Michael 14 points 3) Tommy 13 points 3) Viva la FCB 13 points 5) Coma 11 points 6) Stan 10 points 7) Bluewolf 8 points 7) CaaC (John) 8 points 9) nawoo 6 points 9) Rucksackfranzose 6 points Congrats 6666 on winning this year's edition! 9. An very uneventful matchday for us. Worth mentioning both CaaC(John) and me won 2 points each with our identical Hoffenheim 2-0 Bayern prediction. Matchday 34 1) Tommy 10 points 2) 6666 8 points 2) CaaC(John) 8 points 2) Coma 8 points 5) Rucksackfranzose 7 points 6) Bluewolf 5 points 6) Michael 5 points 6) Stan 5 points 9) Viva la FCB 3 points This is, and can't stretch that enough, not the final table. I'll count the bonus round in the course of the next hour and will post its result, depending on whether the league is decided or not (6666 has the chance to add 2 more points to his 3 he already has in the bag for his cup winner's prediction Leverkusen, if they defy the odds and beat Lautern in the final. ) either afterwards or next week. Table after 34 matchdays 1) @6666 239 points 2) @Tommy 235 points 3) @Bluewolf 233 points 4) @Michael 230 points 4) @Stan 230 points 6) @Viva la FCB 227 points 7) @Coma 200 points 8- Rucksackfranzose 192 points 9) @CaaC (John) 184 points 10) @nawoo 151 points
  10. Bayern should stay calm: Tayfun Korkut, Michael Frontzeck and probably many other managers of their ilk are still available. Seriously, though: Gradually Bayern are running out of choices mostly by their own doing, their new manager is already in the unfortunate situation of everybody knowing he wasn't their first or second choice. Would be smart, if they learned from this appointing disaster and wouldn't shout the name of their preferred personal option into the public as impertinent as they always used to since the 90s and did again this time in the future. Probably they won't though, which offers fans of other clubs the prospect of a lot of entertainment.
  11. Game 135: 63rd min Game 136: 8th min, please
  12. Know there 20 teams in other leagues, in the Buli though there're only 18. That's why the 34th matchday is the last.
  13. @Michael Have to admit you were right with your prognosis of Brandt being omitted. Seeing the midfield squad I'm wondering who should had been left out for him. Pavlovic perhaps? Possibly Groß, since I don't follow English football and therefore can't tell how good he has been? Genuine question. As for the others I had reservations to nominate Brandt at their expense.
  14. Kim hasn't exactly been a revelation this season neither. Given how much praise he received in Italy and Serie A's reputation of being a league of excellent defenders.
  15. If you're disregarding the gap between 1st and second spot at the older table you're indeed having a point here, after comparing them.
  16. Than byou believe something wrong. Source: http://statista.com/statistics/275359/largest-cities-in-the-united-kingdom/ Comparison: Dortmund has an inhabitance of 593K Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dortmund
  17. To be frank: I'd take articles concerning German football from media, that isn't even available in German, with a pinch of salt. Two occurences from top of my head. An English football reporter said in English TV Dortmund would be a small town after the CL first leg, although there's only 3 British cities (London, Birmingham, and Glasgow) that are bigger than it. BBC wrote in their article Bayern's loss in Saarbrücken had been their first cup match this seaon, although Bayern eliminated Preußen Münster from the first round. Mentioning it to give you an impression which kind of Germany experts even serious British sports journos are.
  18. How comes you're that sure? Genuine question. As far as I know only 18 members of a 23men squad have been nominated so far. Granted, Germany will likely take 3 goalkeepers to the tournament and only 1 of them -Neuer- has been announced, so far. Still considering that's 3 spots for non keepers that are unoccupied as it stands. From the players already nominated 4 are designated attackers, doubt Nagelsmann will nominate an additional one. Given 5 of these 18 players are defenders I'd say there's 1 perhaps even two spots in midfield left.
  19. Without any schadenfreude, well actually with a bit of schadenfreude, noticing Hoeneß might have Bayern done a disservice with his debatable tcriticism on a media event nobody called for.
