  1. Bayern are forced to do without Thomas Müller for a few days, at least, as he was tested positive on Covid.
  2. Honestly doubt the majority of German football fans would accept it, let alone embrace. Think it's just an idea, that will ultimately don't come to fruit like the one Rummenigge had regarding DFB-Pokal. PS: For those, who didn't know or forgot- a few years ago Bayern requested a DFB-Pokal reform demanding the better Buli sides having byes in the first round and to be seated, so they couldn't face each other until the quarters. That proposal was voted down on DFB annual meeting, Expecting this proposition to suffer the same fate.
  3. Ahem no, that's because Columbus indeed thought he found a route to India, when he arrived at the Caribbean. Not everything is down to white racism, ironically your post was more racist (in the sense of using a stereotype for a distinct group) than the event you mentioned.
  4. Second tier club Wacker Innsbruck parted ways with investor Mikhail Ponomarev. It's indeed intriguing to see how his sports empire that once included KFC Uerdingen, and ice hockey clubs Düsseldorfer EG and Krefeld Penguins gets more and more dismantled.
  5. It's none of my business as a German. But let's see whether I comprehended what's going on. Your conservative government voted against school meals for deprived children, executed nepotism on several ocassions, had that final school exam disaster last year or the year before, only reluctantly gave NHS employees a pay rise for their hard work during the pandemic, and closed the schools during it endangering the education of the most part of pupils while doing so. Yet, the scandal talked about most is they had parties, while you weren't allowed to have your own? Is that correct? If so your priorities of British society are remarkable.
  6. If everything else doesn't work, as your bank for your IBAN, since you got one.
  7. Isn't directly connected to SVW, but am unsure where to post it. Former Werder manager Markus Anfang conceded using forged vaccination documents to the Bremen public prosecutor in December.
  8. The habit to dedicate each and any day of the year to something, in many cases to more than just one is pretty silly in my opinion. With one exception, though - my birthday is the bald head day, which is quite appropriate considering how scanty my hair has become over the years.
  9. Will always be in my memory asd the strange guy, who signed for Bayern because he felt he didn't get enough match time at Gladbach.
  10. Exactly 10 years ago Christian Streich signed as Freiburg manager. Hard to believe he's in this function for so long now.
  11. To be fair, this rumours came mostly from outsiders, who had no idea of the rivalry between FCS, where most Saarish footballers played, and Lautern, the team that many DFB players played for. Many Saarish had loved their team to defeat Germany, regardless of their self-definition as Germans, only for this fact. The atmosphere at Ludwigspark was very friendly, though. By the way: Mostly identified as Germans is an understatement. Even those, who voted in favour of the autnomy act identified as Germans and Germans only. That talk about a never existing French minority was a French invention to justify their exploitation of Saarish mines and steeling industry.
  12. Welcome back, mate. Hope life has been good to you in the meantime!
  13. Thanks! 14 goals in 17 RL matches is tempting, especially since he's German and still under 23 years old next season. His contract expiring at the end of this season adds to the attraction, although if the first team is indeed within his reach we're probably not considered by him.
  14. Can you tell me something about Justin Nijnmah from Werder II Google can't? Asking because I read we're interested in signing him?
  15. Well, the Omicron mutations was discovered about a week ago. Common sense would indicate it's a bit early to decide how mild it is.
  16. That dog is a beautiful bitch.
  17. According to kicker Werder gave Werner a contract as new manager. Good decision if true.
  18. Don't read that rag! Seem to remember they just transferred the naked lady from front page to some page inside their "paper", though.
  19. Money does an impressive job as a stimulant it seems.
  20. Bayern have decided not to pay the players quarantined because they're unvaccinated ( Gnabry, Musiala, Kimmich, Choupo-Moting, and Cuisance) their wages for the quarantined time. While that's possible under German laws since November, the 1st of this year, it's not sure said law will withstand, when being contested at German high courts.
  21. Did the server transfer take place already?

  22. Und nur vom Hula-Hula geht der Durst nicht weg!
  23. Werder and St Pauli share their flights to and from their respective winter trainings camps to reduce CO2 emissions. That's a new approach, will be interesting to see, if other clubs follow their example.
