  1. Can't compare the two- Jürgen is a given name, while Fischer is a family name.
  2. No surprise. All three coalition partners did expressly endorse legalization during their election campaign.
  3. To be fair, 400 Euros were 800 Deutschmarks, when the currency conversion took place. Also 1960 8oo Deutschmarks had the purchasing power of 1800 Euros today, so this 400 Euros sum is only nominally correct, which the court certainly took into consideration.
  4. Don't know about Düsseldorf- but the 5km from Saarbrücken downtown to my flat cost 20 Euro with a taxi, so 400 quid for 120 km is very conceivable. I agree nobody forced him to drive by taxi, nonetheless.
  5. Well, if he indeed spent 400 quid to return the wallet, he at least could expect not to become poorer due to it, in my honest opinion.
  6. German U19 Bundesliga is divided intop three regional divisions. 1 of these divisions sends two teams to Championship final round, the other two one each. Bayern U19 are a midtable club that one of said two divisions. In other words Bayern U 19 are an average club in German first league youth football, this result is less suitable to brag about, than you would think without knowledge off German youth football. Bayern U19 neither are nor were traditionally one of the biggest Clubs in this part of the sport, despite their name in senior football.
  7. The end of his carrer in 2020 was during Covid restrictions, now Alex Meier gets his farewell match on August, the 31st.
  8. Well at least the tree is a German tradition that predates Woolworth. Same ie true for the tree ornaments.
  9. Marco Richter of Hertha BSC will undergo a surgery. Hope the tumour turns out to be not cancerous and he recovers quickly.
  10. Genuine question: Now Johnson has resigned, what will Tories do? Will they replace him with somebody, who're going to continue his work in general only less shaken by scandals, or will they be looking for someone altering politics not only in style but also in substance? What do you reckon?
  11. I know, didn't want to shock the British audience too much.
  12. As for the German winters, temperatures below 0C are common, and temperatures below -10C not seldom at night. There's a reason, why Germany is the most successful nation at Winter Olympics alltime table, after all. Edit: Firewood shortage at the moment is probably more due to the barbecue season right now, though.
  13. Leaves an interesting question: If the sacred lives of fetus should infringe rights of abortion, why the hell shouldn't sacred of born people should infringe the right of carrying a gun?
  14. Apart from the fact, that if guns were banned that nutcase probably hadn't had one to shoot people. Of corse it's gun ownership, what else?
  15. Since last year's 2.Buli Prediction league was a success I created one for 22/23, too. It's already opened since the coming season starts on 15th of July.

  16. So, if every life is sacred in your opinion you oppose death sentences, and armies- since it's the task of armies to take the sacred lives of the enemies soldiers?
  17. Shows that your assumption every life would be sacred is premature, doesn't it.
  18. To be fair calling informations on abortions promotion like the paragraphes in question do is ridiculous. CDU governments always justified their existence with the claim abortions would be legal only advertisements for them were illegal. Honestly: what did they expect - " Abortions get two pay one" ads from gynecologists?

Actualy it's been 48, but whatever floats your boat.
  21. Sometimes I'm glad not having any social networks- spared me such nonsense.
  22. St.Pauli were concratually guaranteed to be grant right to make decisions, which national teams may train at their Millerntor stadiums during Euro 24 and which ones may not. They insisted on the stance only teams of nations that are compatible to the club's values and aims were allowed to train there. Some may say it's positive a football club is prepared to stand for their own principles, personally I'm furious they're granted the right to act as an attitude police.
  23. Might well be the case! Let's be frank, though: Adidas let fabricate their footballs in Pakistan, because salaries are much lower and labor law provisions are more entrepreneur friendly in pakistan that they are in Germany rather than because German workers and industrial plants were incapable of producing them. Although Pakistan has this economic location advantages, they still design said balls in Germany. Says a lot about the appreciation they feel for their Pakistani employees. Not saying it's impossible to think this lack of esteem is routed in racism, mind.
