UK and Russian scientists are now teaming up in order to run trials of a combined AstraZeneca/Oxford and Sputnik V vaccine in order to get better efficacy and immune response. Good to see politics being put aside for once.

Binged Season 1 of The Right Stuff yesterday. Basically tells the story of the spacerace in the 60s and the beginnings of NASA by following the lives of the Mercury 7 astronauts. Pretty much Mad Men in space, really enjoyed it. Also started For All Mankind, which is a very interesting take on alternative history, depicting of what would have happened if the Soviets were the first ones to land on the Moon and the global space race never ended.

For me it's probably like this: Defensive/central midfield - Frings>Eilts>Baumann>Junuzovic Offensive midfield - Micoud>Diego>Herzog>Özil

Micoud... The most phenomenal player I've ever seen play for Werder.

Mind blowing, isn't it? What's even more incredible is that they managed to get it right on the first attempt. SpaceX is really in the league of their own...

They nailed pretty much everything bar the landing burn. Perfect launch, perfect flight, the bellyhop was amazing... So stable, and the upright rotation for landing looked incredibly accurate. Haven't seen anything like that before! Proper scifi stuff... Seemed like an engine malfunction upon landing (one raptor shut down and the other burned its combustion chamber?), so they didn't have enough thrust for the soft landing as a result. A huge damn explosion that was A spectacular test flight with a spectacular ending. Bring on SN9 next...

Haha, there was apparently a range violation, so the launch should still happen

I swear, every time I post a link to the livestream on here, they encounter some problem and have to abort the launch

Been hooked on Surviving Mars recently. Got most of the expansion packs a while ago, and it's such a nice addition to the base game.

Starship SN8 high altitude suborbital flight test launch is expected in less than an hour. First Starship prototype that will use 3 Raptor engines, a nosecone and body flaps. Will also attempt a landing flip maneuver (bellyflop); if successful, it will be a first ever for a vehicle of such size. Target altitude 12.5km. Stream will go live before launch.

This is just the peer review of the previously announced interim results. However, Oxford/Astrazeneca are now starting a new global clinical trial due to that dosage error in the original one.

He's been great, I think 7 goals and 2 assists so far? Very happy for him. There's no option to recall him, as much as I'm aware. His loan finishes in summer...

Close enough... Fun fact of the day: Hayabusa means falcon, which is a very fitting name for both a sportsbike and a spacecraft!
