Nah, it's also Cigarettes After Sex, so a self-titled album. That was their studio debut, meanwhile I. was their first EP, I think.

Not THAT bad but it really pissed me off. Not because they didn't do what I asked them to (I realise that film isn't very common anymore, so I understand that printing from film might be not possible) and not even because the scans/prints were poor, but first and foremost because they clearly don't know what they're doing, or more likely just couldn't be arsed to change the default setting on the scanner and wanted to get it done as soon as possible. And they had the guts to charge me 40€ for 2 rolls of film and their rushed, piss poor "work". Wankers.

I love their debut album, it's fantastic... One of my favourite albums of all time. Also, I was one of those who thought the lead singer is a woman

So...brought the first test rolls of the "new" camera to get developed. Asked specifically if they do prints directly from the film (as opposed to scanning them with a shitty scanner first), was assured they do. Ordered both prints and scans to compare. Got a text that it's done today, was surprised as originally they told me it would take approx. 5 days, went to the store to pick it up... and it's bloody useless. Not only are they NOT directly printed from the film (which would be alright, as long as they scan and print it properly), they actually scanned it at a piss poor resolution and then printed them out, so what I ended up with is a bunch of 3MP lossy JPGs and horrible low resolution 10x15 prints from them I'm fucking fuming

I'm not looking for a holiday, Chris I just want to go back home.

Mushroom day today, as I got half a kilo of fresh chanterelles, so did two batches of it. First one, just stewed in own juice and then sautéed in butter and olive oil with garlic and some greens, then served with dill baby potatoes. Second batch, the remaining chanterelles sautéed with bacon in light cream sauce. Later served with tagliatelle. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Just did a quick search. https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ramirez-slams-perez-for-wrong-attitude/453947/ https://www.motorsport-total.com/formel-1/news/muecke-hatte-selten-so-einen-schlamper-wie-sergio-perez-15051919 https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/two-f1-figures-say-perez-too-arrogant/443141/

Peter Mücke and Jo Ramirez. There were also reports from Sauber saying the same thing - cocky, unprofessional, not a team player, and that didn't make him popular with the team. I'll look for actual links later when I'm not on the phone...

Ricciardo? I'm sure that ship has sailed already;I believe he's not willing to play second fiddle. His contract with Renault made him one of the best paid drivers on the grid, and while he's taking a pay cut to join McLaren, there's apparently agreements in place that will make him the preferred driver in the team.
-
Yes, maybe he also grew up and improved on those aspects of his personality; doesn't look like there are any problems related to his attitude in Racing Point, anyway. Would definitely be a good option for Red Bull. I also agree Hülkenberg would have been the perfect choice. But RB just seem stubborn, don't think they'll swallow their pride and sign any "outsider", unless it's their former driver. Not many choices for them though, Vips and Tsunoda are the next in line but both still nowhere near being good enough for a Red Bull seat at the moment, nevermind the lack of superlicence points. Just fucking hope they don't go for Ticktum again.
-
Perez is a weird one, solid driver but apparently has (or at least used to have) an attitude that doesn't bode well with the crew or anyone else in the team. If he got that sorted, then I definitely see him as a good option for RB.

I have been waiting for someone to adapt Asimov's Foundation for like ages... the problem is, I think it's very hard to do it and also stay true to the novels. I think this will be just a loose adaptation; hope they don't screw it up... First Dune, now Foundation, sign me up for 2021!

Red Bull need to sort out the car first and foremost, that's the top priority now. It's impossible to judge him based on his performances in RB16 as it is barely drivable. Once they solve balance/stability issues, it might be a completely different picture (I hope...). At any case, I think in order to keep his seat long term, Albon will have to regularly be just a few tenths within Max in order for RB to be able to threaten Mercedes in terms of strategy (and pick up points for the team). Can he do it? I'm not sure, but I'm not confident he can. I agree that Red Bull should probably get a solid experienced driver for that second seat and let their youngsters develop properly until they are ready for it. Although I'm not sure who would be a good choice. Vettel? Hülkenberg? Or even someone like Magnussen?

Went to a botanic garden and found a glass bowl with water and flower petals in it, so played around with the colors and reflections a little bit...

Yeah, I know a few people who are making a living teaching Chinese kids online, it's not easy to get into but it can definitely pay your bills if you're persistent and good enough. For native English speakers, that's probably the easiest way to earn regular money from home. If you decide to work as an English teacher in an actual school while you're traveling or living abroad though, please make sure you commit to it and do your absolute best. There are too many wankers who are using their tefl certificates and native English speaker status in order to finance their short, alcohol and drugs fueled trips in developing countries, and then fuck off after a month a two, leaving the kids with no teacher and no continuity in their education.

Which one? I did the iCAL 120 hours one many years ago, never actually used it but thought it's good to have as a backup plan... Do you intend to teach?
-
Yep, I especially like it as it makes it easy to choose the next book to read without having to spend hours trying to decide I also love sci-fi, so it was a no brainer...

Just finished this one, actually quite enjoyed it. Pretty much a crime novel/psychological thriller/murder mystery/film noir in a sci fi setting, a bit pulpy, thouroughly 50s feel. Also probably the first novel ever to use textspeak (@kins, T8, $$son) . Anyway, moving to the next one. Quite excited, but for all the wrong reasons, as it's apparently the worst novel to ever win the Hugo Award They'd Rather Be Right (also known as The Forever Machine) by Mark Clifton and Frank Riley. Wish me luck.

Can only imagine how bored were those who weren't fans of Schumi or Ferrari.

Yeah, but that's not a problem, the tix are flexible and I can reschedule until the end of 2021 free of charge...

Nah, Thailand only allow entry for selected categories of foreigners, such as the ones who have families or residency rights there, international students, those seeking medical treatment, etc. Tourist visas/entry stamps aren't being issued and who knows when it goes back to normal...
