The diameter of the fishing line. Basically how thick it is. I actually found it interesting so I did my calculations and came up to roughly 400-405 yards (depending to which digit you round the initial numbers during the calculations). I'd wait for Rando's results if I were you though @The Rebel CRS
  2. One of my all-time favourites...

    Chile I believe.
  4. Ist Mariä Himmelfahrt ein gesetzlicher Feiertag in Baden-Württemberg?
  5. Yeah those two definitely work as there's a lot of chemistry and sexual tension there between them The pastor made me laugh; there are quite a few chuckles in later episodes as well but nothing feels forced thankfully. Been bingeing on this tonight after work; 5 episodes in and it's getting better and better...
  6. So Salihamidzic appears to be an incompetent tit with little to no soft skills who likes ghosting people? I'm shocked
  7. Finally decided to watch Blood & Treasure. Heard about it months ago and judging from the plot summary it looked like my kind of a show but I got discouraged by bad reviews and never gave it a go until today. And I'm so glad I did! Can't understand negative reviews at all; it's a highly entertaining throwback to Indian Jones + National Treasure + Tomb Raider and the likes. Basically a lighthearted adventure/treasure hunting flick with the 80s/90s flair; extremely fun for what it is. @Bluewolf
  8. A risky and controversial approach that focuses on treating the symptom instead of the cause and can do even more harm. I'd love to see how the study evaluates the potentially severe side effects such as decline in crop yields, changes in weather/precipitation patterns, acid rains and ocean acidification, changes in entire ecosystems and so on. On the positive side, that's how quite a few sci-fi dystopian movies started
  9. Yeah that's a big blow... If they don't manage to sort it out and miss the launch window as a result, the whole mission is in danger of being canceled altogether. Still almost a year to go and they are having an expert panel next month to try and solve the chute problem. At any case, failure during the tests is much better than failing during the launch/landing.
  10. A 3-part miniseries... I watched it some twenty years ago on VHS Let me know what you think...
  11. I think the only type of horror movie that I like is The Others with Nicole Kidman... so basically the psychological sort with well crafted tension but without gore and jump scares. And then I don't particularly enjoy watching them either as they make me feel uneasy. That said, I really like some Stephen King TV movies but I don't think they really qualify as horror...it's more of a mystery genre for me which I love. Storm of the Century (absolutely loved it!!!), The Stand (one of my favourite novels ever and the adaptation was really good too), Needful Things, and even a pretty stupid one like The Langoliers.
  12. Well the historical element here is supposed to be the Japanese internment camps in the US during WWII, I take it...and the paranormal is probably supposed to be the part of Japanese ghost folklore genre (Kaidanshu) so there are certainly cultural ties here. Still not a fan of it as I'm not really a fan of horror movies Your comparison with The Ring hits the nail I think. EDIT: Yes just did a quick search and thoroughly enjoyed this: https://bloody-disgusting.com/editorials/3576746/kaidan-101-folklore-ghosts-evils-terror-infamy/
  13. I'm not too sure it's going to be my cup of tea... I enjoyed Season 1 primarily because the paranormal was only hinted at, so it was all very subtle and the suspense was mainly of psychological nature. This seems to be a bit too direct for me...
  14. @Bluewolf : do you remember The Terror??? First Episode of Season 2 is out now!
  15. Welcome aboard! How do you feel about Leverkusen's chances this season?

Well at least you got it stitched up... I got my inner arm sliced pretty badly many years ago; pretty much ignored it then and have been sporting a pretty wicked scar ever since
  17. So so happy for Alex. I actually think it's a great move by Red Bull; putting him in the car for the rest of the season gives them a great opportunity to evaluate him instead of potentially taking a risk and signing him for a full season. It's a massive, massive opportunity for Alex as well; he doesn't have to challenge Max and nobody is expecting him to, he just has to perform better than Gasly did - so basically just needs to deliver solid points by finishing at least P6 ahead of slower midfield cars. I think he'll take his chance too; he's very strong mentally and has already shown that he's able to adapt quickly and seize the opportunity when it presents itself. Just a few months ago he had absolutely no chance of a career in F1, no sponsorship money to keep on driving in F2, had already signed to drive in Formula E, and there he is now, switching to a top F1 team mid-season as a rookie. I think he definitely knows what's at stake here and I might be in the minority here but I am sure he's strong enough - both mentally and as a driver - to make the best out of it. Also it doesn't surprise me one bit that Red Bull are putting Albon in the car instead of Kvyat for the rest of the season. They already know all they need about Kvyat whereas Alex still is a bit of enigma and this is a perfect chance to compare all of their drivers in order to make an informed decision for 2020. If Albon performs better than Gasly did, he should get the seat next year. If he performs at the same level as Gasly did, Red Bull will know they have to look for another driver for next season. Gasly was miserably slow in a Red Bull, Kvyat wasn't convincingly beating Albon in a Toro Rosso despite having 4-5 years more experience in F1; it will be very interesting to see how they do against each other now. Also two of my favourite drivers in one team, love it!
  18. I think I will start tagging you in all of my posts from now on
  19. I actually enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking, even a bit cheesy sometimes, but very enjoyable if you like mystery. Kind of reminded me of those old Stephen King TV adaptations.

You mean even worse than man flu??? Seriously; that sucks. Lucky to miss the arteries as well...
  23. As expected, it's now official! Ömer Toprak signed a contract today Baumann also said in the press conference to expect one or two more players to join the team before the transfer window closes. A fullback who can play on both sides + a midfielder are a priority. Janik Haberer is rumoured to be the midfielder we're trying to sign.
