  1. Meanwhile, in Labour run Wales, civil servants have blamed rising costs due to Brexit as a reason to scrap the M4 relief road. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/politics/m4-relief-road-newport-brexit-16587653 For those unaware, this has been in discussion since the early 90's. But fuck it, blame Brexit for your own failure I guess.
  2. It has a fair bit (especially that pissing dragon) but have completed the second world. Done two of the bosses on world three so not too shabby so far.
  3. Coming to the Steam Direct shitfest soon.
  4. Typical feminist. No context whatsoever and just seething because it's a white male on a £50 note.
  5. It reminds me of a speech Kyle's mum made in the South Park film where before America goes to war with Canada, she mentions 'that graphic violence is ok, as long as people don't say naughty words. That's what this war is all about'. I don't know if it's an American thing or just in general, but people always seem up in arms over things that show smoking (I guess for the whole 'it encourages children' angle, despite the games being for adults) but happily ignore the part where you blow heads off, cut them with a chainsaw or explode them. I don't have an Xbox One but I enjoyed the first three. Didn't even bother with Judgement and it just looks like they're now milking it.
  6. Bit similar here, though admittedly it's more that I don't want to play anything if it starts to push a little late after work and doing other things, especially assignment work atm. Took me 4 months to finish Resi 2 ffs.
  7. Varies from game to game I believe, though games usually tend to look better when docked than in handheld mode (usually going down to 720p instead of 1080p, 900p etc). Not that it makes a huge difference on that small a screen mind. I'm sure I have read that games docked tend to run better than in handheld mode. I'll have a browse. EDIT: General idea I've read is that the GPU can't run fully when in handheld mode due to things like battery life and possible overheating.
  8. Saw this and not too fussed about this really. Though it's cheaper, I think it loses its appeal a bit by just being a handheld rather than being a hybrid that can be played as a handheld and docked. Let's also not forget that games tend to run better docked than in handheld mode.
  9. For a game that was considered impossible to port on to Switch, it looks and plays superbly. Completed the first world and have moved on to the second. Expecting the difficulty to ramp up though.
  10. Switch. Don't have an Xbox One so the announcement earlier in the year was most welcome.
  11. Started Cuphead. Really liking it so far, though can already see how hard people have said and that's just the beginning.
  12. And I finally competed that as well. Tried the extra modes to see what they were like and quite liked them. Reminded me of the modes on Resi 3 all those years ago. Very difficult mind. Can only do them on the 'training' mode as the main one is basically Capcom giving you the middle finger.
  13. Bought Mario Maker 2 for £30. While I won't play it straight away, I can't see it being as low for some time as Nintendo games tend to keep their price for some time.
  14. Fantastic. I know we were fucked but this says a lot. Deputy economy minister for Wales Lee Waters has said.......... that the Welsh Labour Government hasn't had a clue on the economy since devolution. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-48757245 For those unaware, the first meeting of the newly formed Assembly was in 1999.
  15. EA with another cracker. By trying desperately to defend loot boxes during a session with UK Parliament's Digital, Media, Culture and Sports Committee, it's now been confirmed that they aren't actually loot boxes, but 'surprise mechanics'. The 'surprise mechanics' were also likened to children toys you get in Kinder Surprise eggs. https://m.uk.ign.com/articles/2019/06/20/ea-defends-loot-boxes-calls-them-surprise-mechanics?abthid=5d0b5eda448e3d2e3600038d
  16. Completed that yesterday. Now on to Leon's side.
  17. Need to get back on Resi 2. At the end for Claire's side now.
  18. Possibly too early to show anything just yet. This reminds me that I need to play the original trilogy at some point. Microsoft and Nintendo currently have a close relationship don't they? This is probably the result of that, plus it's great that Banjo comes home. If the fighters can be bought separately, I'll be getting this.
  19. Metroid Prime 4 has not long been started from scratch, so that doesn't surprise me too much.
  20. That's nothing new. We all know London and the South of England basically gets everything while everyone else gets the middle finger, we'll before Brexit was even a thing. Also, I wouldn't recommend quoting too much from Walesonline as they truly are awful.
  21. Though this comes as absolutely no surprise, FIFA on Switch is basically a roster, database and kit update as other versions from the main two are. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-06-09-ea-explains-fifa-2020s-legacy-version-for-nintendo-switch I know that no one's generally arsed but this is mainly for @Cannabis as I think he has FIFA 19 for Switch. Not that it matters. EA could not bother with the Switch altogether and no one would really care. Far better games to play.
  22. Is Peterborough one of those places like the Valleys where 'you stick a red rosette on a donkey and people will vote for it'?
  23. So the Welsh Government has decided that, despite being in the manifesto for the 2016 elections and had overwhelming backing from an independent review, the M4 relief road around Newport will no longer be built, with our First Minister mentioning that 'a commission of experts will be appointed to find a solution around the M4 problems around Newport'. The reasons for it being rejected were cost (at £1.4bn before tax, though this was the same government that would have been happy to see £1.4bn being used on the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon by the UK Government. When rejected, they issued a non binding vote of no confidence on Alun Cairns because they can), environmental reasons (ignoring the fact that persistent heavy congestion will cause more issues) and 'comes at a time of maximum uncertainty' for Welsh Government finances. To put that last statement into perspective, this has been under discussion and planning for about 30 years. So not only have the Severn Bridge tolls been removed (increasing the traffic as a result), but we'll now have to deal with the extra traffic without any further road developments in place to cope with it. Take a big guess as to who this party is.
  24. The one thing that has slightly pissed me off is Nintendo, simply because they don't do the obvious. Mario Maker 2 will allow you to play multiplayer versus against others in player created maps. So why oh why can't you create private lobbies for your mates?
