  1. For anyone interested, Rayman Legends is currently free on the Epic Game Store. Though the game is fairly old, I'd strongly recommend playing this if you like 2D platformers. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-11-29-rayman-legends-is-currently-free-on-the-epic-store
  2. @Mel81x, after hearing the praise it has been getting, I may be tempted in the future. However, though I've said it before, I just have this niggling feeling that EA are going to fuck it up in some way.
  3. For those with the Gamepass on Xbox, they've announced that Yakuza 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2 will be part of it. Though it's a niche series and looks and feels last gen (Yakuza 0 was originally a PS3 game after all, with the other two getting the remake treatment), I strongly recommend giving 0 at least a go. It's a slow burner but it's one of the most fun games I've played in a long time.
  4. So Fortnite has now added Skill Based matchmaking (which I thought is usually the case in the vast majority of online games) and some poxy YouTuber has said he's against this because 'it's puts you against similar skilled players to help you improve and when you do, it puts you up against better players. I'm not a fan, this is the worst addition ever and it's killing the game'. Ummmmm............... what? https://uk.ign.com/articles/2019/11/11/fans-are-divided-over-fortnites-skill-based-matchmaking
  5. Not bad, though some of them (such as Breath of the Wild and Horizon Zero Dawn) I would class under adventure rather than RPG. Also, no Paper Mario (N64) makes me very sad.
  6. A mate of mine has it and also said it's very good. Unfortunately, I've got assignments to do for work so haven't got a lot of time at present.
  7. Never played either of the others (though do have the 2nd on 3DS). Might be tempted though also wanting to get Link's Awakening at some point.
  8. I haven't read a massive amount into this (a tournament winner mentioning about Hong Kong on the stream I think) but the fact that everyone is up in arms for something that Activision Blizzard have done isn't surprising at all. Just read that he will now receive the prize money and have his suspension lowered to six months. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-10-12-after-a-week-of-protests-blizzard-issues-statement-on-pro-hong-kong-hearthstone-player-ban Still ott mind.
  9. Doom Eternal, Yakuza Remastered Collection, Last of Us Part 2 and the first part of the FF7 Remake. All within a month or so. And my birthday is bang in the middle of it as well. Fantastic.
  10. I haven't watched it but read about that. Reminds me of Cena back in the day when he got battered from pillar to post but then did his five move set and won the match. On a regular basis. Btw, where and when is NXT on in the UK? I may start giving it a watch.
  11. For anyone interested, the Mario Kart mobile game has been released and........ it's a bit meh really. Not a fan of the steering so far and have read the game is very grindy and quite unfriendly in regards to microtransactions. However, one big question. Why is there an option for a £5 monthly subscription?
  12. So the DCMS has recommended the UK Government to regulate loot boxes under the Gambling Act. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-09-11-dcms-recommends-uk-government-regulates-loot-boxes-under-the-gambling-act Would love to see this happen but remain unconvinced that they (be it the Tories, Labour, cross party, whatever) will actually regulate loot boxes. That EA bint never helped EA's defence mind by trying to rebrand them as 'surprise mechanics'.
  13. I've heard 4 and 5 are good and if I had an Xbox One, they' d be towards the top of my list. Unfortunately I don't really want to buy a console just for a couple of games.
  14. It's EA. Surely you weren't expecting anything else.
  15. Me and a mate did local co-op on the original trilogy. He shit himself when the Berserker came along as you needed a bit of quick movement to avoid it. Haven't played any of them since the third one mind so have no idea of what they're like now. For me, I finished Spiderman but need to get some small assignments done now. Will do those with maybe a quick go on Death Road to Canada now and then.
  16. This here is basically how I feel as well, though you can add Plaid Cymru to the above as they've been determined to stop Brexit at all costs, despite the vote (I think I read somewhere that the previous leader Leanne Woods said that 'I only care about the 48%', which says a lot). How many MP's honestly give a toss about the UK and are purely using this as an opportunity for political and/or personal gain? How many MP's have looked at this fiasco and wondered why people have voted as they did? @The Artful Dodger mentioned about the North and mining towns, of which the valleys near me once was and also despise Thatcher and the Tories. Yet despite that, they voted leave. Why? I think some of these have already been answered but just some thoughts.
  17. Went to the NXT Takeover event tonight in Cardiff. First time I've watched any NXT and anything WWE related for some time but remember a lot of people saying NXT was very good. I left very impressed as there were some good matches tonight, most notably the triple threat tag team for the UK Tag Team titles.
  18. Heard of it but not played it myself. Supposed to be quite good from what I've heard.
  19. For @..., there appears to be a small offer on for some Switch games at Game, Argos and Amazon, whereby you can buy one and get another half price. However, it's only a small amount of games though does have the likes of Mario Kart 8 and Mario Maker 2.
  20. Just watched the trailer. It's a pretty looking game but with it being only on Steam, this pretty much knackers me.
  21. I haven't @nudge. Any good? For me, I've installed Spiderman on PS4 so will have a good ceack on that. However, it doesn't help that Sega have released the Yakuza Remastered Collection (3, 4 and 5, though only 3 is available straightaway as 4 is October and 5 is February). Add Yakuza 6 from last year and Judgment this year, 2020 has been blocked out.
  22. Considering the way the partnership is going, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened at some point. I assume like Cuphead, they didn't want to release two at the same time and affect sales.
  23. Nintendo had an Indie Direct earlier today, with Super hot and the Hotline Miami duo being released today. Though it was rumoured for a while, the Microsoft-Nintendo partnership continues as Ori and the Blind Forest was announced for Switch. Due for release next month. Considering the high praise it has got, I may buy this.
  24. This isn't dodgy in the slightest. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-08-08-fans-campaign-for-borderlands-3-boycott-after-youtuber-says-take-two-sent-investigators-to-his-door
