Always wanted to go to Iceland. Only thing that's kinda put me off is how disappointed I'd be if I didn't see the Northern Lights too well. Are you going to do the golden circle tour? You would probably be better putting this in the Holidays thread fella.
  2. Creed 2 Firstly, I thought they did a great job on the first film so I was keen to watch this one. Always been a fan of the Rocky's and I liked the way they freshened up the series with Michael B Jordan as the main star. And I have to say, I think they did a pretty good job, with a different director, especially as there is always the risk the sequel falls below the levels set from the first film. In the main, its a solid follow up. A tried and tested story but one that works particularly with this franchise. When it's good, its really good. The fights are brutal, but they serve a purpose to the narrative. And its great to see Drago back even if he's not the main focus here. Everyone loves a little reference to nostalgia. Michael B Jordan continues to be a star and it's great to see the further development of his character as he encounters different aspects in life as Adonis Creed. I wouldn't be against a third instalment if its along the same line of quality as the first two. 7.5/10

  7. Saw this today and have to agree. What a good mini series this would have been. Very solid movie, really enjoyed it. Great fight scenes, stunning scenery and the lead actors very believable in their roles. The pacing of the film felt a bit rushed, especially not giving time for certain scenes to develop further. Normally when retelling these stories you need to pad it out to allow viewers to become more emotionally invested in characters and their development. So perhaps that is why a series could have been a better way to go. That said, very enjoyable film worth a watch and one that's possibly.gone under the radar going straight on to Netflix.
  8. If @Batard is Bielsa then he's got blow jobs on tap from me.
  9. No sign of @...Dan this morning. Dread to think what else has happened to him but the search party is on standby.

I agree with @JOSHBRFC Joshua has been very vocal about what he wants. He's waited a long time and they have tried to get Wilder, but I really don't think he want's it. Personally feel sorry for Whyte in all this because he has done everything asked of him so far and deserved another crack at AJ, particularly ahead of Miller, but regardless, he'll carry on till they can't ignore him anymore.
  12. You are having one of those trips. One day, this will all be pretty hilarious to look back on. (That is assuming the two blokes outside your apartment don't gang rape you first)
  13. Far from the warmth of Istanbul with Dan, or the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam with Chris, we're back from our weekend in the Peaks. No sign of any dodgy con artists on a scam or the strong smell of weed or red lights, just pure quiet and countryside. We are all on completely different breaks right now Very lucky with the weather. Cottage was just beaut. Can't beat chucking logs in the fire and smashing through the wine and gin as dark sets in. We were literally 5mins from a village called Bakewell, named after the tarts. What a jewell that place is if anyone likes that kind of thing.
  14. Going to the Peak District tomorrow for a long weekend with the missus. Got ourselves a proper lovely little idyllic Cottage near to a little quaint village. Lovely drop.

    Smoking

Not a smoker but there are times when you're near someone whose vaping and those liquids smell really nice. Especially if it's Cola, Strawberry or something like that. That is the only time I've been curious to puff but never bothered.

To be fair, once you've survived your first poonami, it can only go uphill from there.

She's lovely mate. You'd never know behind that cute exterior lays a pooing and spewing machine.

I don't think you'd need to bother digging your own grave mate, the missus will have ran you over and chopped you up into little pieces by then.

There's enough ad's at the top of this forum that could help you with that.
  21. I've not seen the film you are referring to but by all accounts, this version is better. To be perfectly honest, you don't need to like Lady Gaga to enjoy this film, you wouldn't even realise it was her given how well she comes across in her performance. But by all means judge for yourself.
  22. A Star Is Born 8.5/10 Very good. Slightly dubious before watching as I thought it would be just a platform to emphasise Gaga's vocals but actually, she can act. Infact, I'm not sure what I found more surprising. Lady Gaga's acting skills or Bradley Cooper's singing. Either way, the two combined really well. My only criticism really was that whilst two thirds of the film were great, the last part was a little drawn out and self-centred. They could have shortened this and it would have had no less effect. All in all, a solid effort on Cooper's directional debut and I felt he really captured both sides of the fame industry brilliantly.

    Boxing

Feel like Groves will always be remembered as a nearly man, mainly for the two Froch fight's above anything else. Don't get me wrong, talented fighter, great style, personality and generated a big boom in British boxing. Chuffed he smashed De Gale and Eubank Jr, but he never quite dominated at the top for me. Injuries played their part too. All feel's a little 'What could have been' with him.
  24. I've seen it too. Solid 8/10 for me as it was fairly humourous. Felt a bit like a light hearted version of Skins. They actually filmed loads of it in Wales believe it or not. But the way they portrayed it did feel like it was trying to cater for an American audience. The other thing I found puzzling was the constant reference's to the 80's, especially soundtrack wise and yet they all use mobile phones. Ok...
