Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I wanna see Pakistan step up here. Give me a good game. Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Amir unfortunate not to nab a wicket, but India have batted beautifully otherwise, til the English rain fucking ruins it for us all. Quote
Azeem Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Why is Imad bowling so early looking at the overcast conditions Quote
Azeem Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Amir should have kept his earlier lenght instead of bowling bouncers and trying this and that Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 His spell was mostly excellent to be fair. Quote
Azeem Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 On a side note i never understood this Duck/Goose lewis system Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 The team that bat first gets fucked over and the chasing team is advantaged if it rains in the first 50 overs. However, if it is dry for the first 50 overs, then rains in the middle of the 2nd innings, then the team batting 2nd is fucked over as they have already used half their innings batting like a 50 over game rather than a 20 over game. Quote
Azeem Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I think it will rain a few more times in the second innings also Quote
Azeem Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) I still cant figure out why Imad bowled instead of Wahab Edited June 4, 2017 by Azeem98 Quote

Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Moments like that are where subcontinental teams are divided from teams like Aus, SA and England. Hassan is slow to react and doesn't put in a dive. An average Aussie or Saffa fielder would have turned that top edge into a chance, and most times taken it. Quote

In the past 5-6 years we have been amongst the best fielding sides. Your point is right in a way. Pakistan's ground fielding had been poor. @topic Utterly poor captaincy from Pakistani captain. Overcast conditions, and he bowls a spinner against a batsman returning to international cricket after 8 month injury lay off (rohit) and Dhawan who has been in iffy form. And again later, allows Kohli to settle down before bringing back Amir to bowl. I am not complaining, though. Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Agree on the poor captaincy. As for fielding, while you lot aren't shit anymore and are miles ahead of the rest of the subcontinent, you are still not there yet. Though you have some real athletes in the side. Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 And we have lost an over to rain. 49 overs match now. I hope they send Hardik up the order if lose a wicket. He can inflict real damage. Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Poor game awareness from Sharma. Great innings though. Should have been a bit less casual with his run. Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted June 4, 2017 Author Posted June 4, 2017 Lovely end to the innings. Good inninigs from Yuvi. Pakistan aiding us with atrocious catching. Hardik showed why he was chosen over Ashwin, and sent ahead of Dhoni. He is a terrific fielder and handy bowler, too. Just praying this fucking rain stays away. Quote
Azeem Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) score 250 don't get bowled out that would do for me,a respectable defeat somewhat. India-Pakistan would become like England-Scotland in football in coming years Edited June 4, 2017 by Azeem98 Quote
Administrator Stan Posted June 5, 2017 Administrator Posted June 5, 2017 This was a great match to watch (obviously as an India fan) but can also imagine it was entertaining enough for a neutral? Shame the weather hampered the first innings and definitely wasn't expecting blazing sunshine after all the torrential rain for Pakistan's innings Everyone expected Dhoni to come in instead of Pandya but the dcision was definitely vindicated given he smacked 19 off 4 balls including 3 consecutive sixes. Atmosphere intensified when that happened when I already thought it was as good as it could be. Good to see Kohli in good form with a strong knock. Disappointed that Sharma couldn't get his 100. They went for a run that wasn't really there and he could have eased to his century. Really like this India team and the match against South Africa next Sunday (also going), could be one of the best of the tournament if the weather holds out. Quote
Devil-Dick Willie Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 I am an honorary Banger tonight! Go Bangladesh! Quote
Administrator Stan Posted June 5, 2017 Administrator Posted June 5, 2017 some pictures from last couple of days Sri Lanka vs South Africa (3rd June) India vs Pakistan (4th June) all of a sudden the sun decides to play 1 Quote

Whatever you did on Sunday, repeat the same routine for the match against Saffers. @topic No one is supporting poor Tamim, who is batting quite nicely. Quote

Can't wait for that game cos there's bound to be some great cricket in all aspects on show. I'm also going to India vs Sri Lanka on Thursday which should be good too. Tamim is doing great in this tournament so far. Under the radar as Shakib Al Hasan and Mortaza were/are the best Bangladeshi players. Doing well. Quote
