Michael Posted January 15, 2020 Posted January 15, 2020 Schalke midfielder Bentaleb is wanted by Everton and Crystal Palace. The Algerian has been frozen out at Schalke for disciplinary reasons and he would likely welcome a move. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7890353/amp/Crystal-Palace-Everton-interested-former-Tottenham-man-Bentaleb.html
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted January 20, 2020 Subscriber Posted January 20, 2020 Edit: @Harvsky, what're your thoughts on this? @Michael seems to think he could be a problem guy every now and then. Algeria international Nabil Bentaleb is having a medical at Newcastle United with a view to joining on loan from Schalke, BBC Newcastle understands. (BBC)
SchalkeUK Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 Already noted in the Newcastle thread - your problem thankfully not ours!
Honey Honey Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 Will pretty much take anything that will improve the football. In attack at times this is probably the worst Newcastle "team" in my life time. It's not because they're pure shite it is because they can't do anything. I've seen teams with individuals that are pure shite but at least we did create and even control.
SchalkeUK Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 If his head is sorted, Bentaleb will be an asset to any team - his mid-field distribution could solve your problem but if Prince Boateng is a pain, Bentaleb is just as acute in that area.

Michael Posted January 21, 2020 Author Posted January 21, 2020 Newcastle United have an option to buy Bentaleb for 10 million Euros at the end of the season, if they decide to buy him permanently.

He can be a great leader ordisrupter m- dependiong on how his colleagues get on with him. AT HIS BEST HE IS BRILLIANT ....BUT!

I guess there isn't a great deal of risk for us because we have plenty of centre mids.
SchalkeUK Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 After they way your lot finished last night anything else will be a bonus - particularly as Bentaleb can be a really fit man if his injury has totally cleared up - another one to play 90 plus minutes which really was what yesterday was all about - interesting to watch how it works out!

Should debut against Oxford on Saturday in the FA Cup
SchalkeUK Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 ESPN in the USA are covering your game so I can watch it before my gang set about Bayern later in the afternoon. Your victory looks more certain than ours, but with last week's performance we could both be happy by 7pm!
