The quality of defending in the Lorient Strasbourg match is pitiful.

You can tell how rusty players are as well. So many fouls and late tackles. Not necessarily malicious, but late challenges injuring players.

It’s the basics that are the most embarrassing, players getting the ball caught between their feet needlessly leaving space in behind one on one. It’s not just being rusty, it’s the dearth of quality once again on show in Ligue 1.

Garcia is lucky to have a player like Depay who can win a match on his own with his individual talent. I don't know if I bear to watch another season of OL under him, it's so dull.

I hope this match convinces Rudi that Bruno Guimarães is not a holding midfielder.

He has great athleticism and can cover a lot of ground, but he's at his best as a box-to-box midfielder, with more freedom to operate with the ball.

Pfft, that's matchday 2 news .

Is it definitely going ahead what with PSG's positive COVID tests recently?

Yeah the new rule is as long as 20 members of your 30 man squad are available the match goes ahead.

Lens win 1-0. A poor game in truth, as expected with such a depleted PSG squad.

Lens did well and got the job done though. Relied on a mistake from Bulka to get the goal. Probably would have scored eventually though.
