It needs to be the LB that inverts. Cucurella is good in possession + doesn't offer much in attack, and the new lad Renato Viega is a LCB/LB/LCM hybrid.

Reece James and Malo Gusto are too influential as fullback on both ends of the pitch. Limiting them to being defensive mids makes them redundant.

Sanchez

James Fofana Colwill Cucurella

Enzo

Caicedo Nkunku

Palmer    Jackson     Sterling

Full backs became basically redundant for us. Doyle on the left becoming like a centre back. Ricardo on the right becoming like a centre mid. It could make it a quite tricky game for the wingers at times.

Chelsea best sort that defence out sharpish :4_joy: i know it's only pre season but we are only 2 weeks from the start of the season and that was more or less Chelsea's first 11 against a team with 90% of it's first team starters & bench still on holiday. if i was a Chelsea supporter id be worried

  • 3 weeks later...

Well we just about made it 3-2 on agg

Could have gone either way after they got the second goal... no good front or back tonight but made a lot of changes from Saturday which will be par for the course across the season..
