He either hangs on to the ball too long or over hits a cross or shot. You will always get great games out of him but replacing Mahrez with him was a marked downgrade. As is selling a top class striker and assuming Haaland can go a season with no back up. Literally zero plan B whenever I see you play. I can't argue with any of that, Mahrez was a phenomenal player for us, was a big loss. it was a mistake not getting a replacement for Alvarez as it was letting Palmer go Quote

What's clear is he must have been soaking up training with Kevin De Bruyne because every time he gets the ball his first instinct is how to damage a team with a killer pass. It's crazy to think you had his perfect replacement sat on the bench watching frustrated. Chelsea didn't know they were getting that either, they just struck gold, they thought they were picking up a useful squad player. Quote

So obviously you know a few of the lads who work for the same company as me are childhood friends with his dad. Anyway when England played Greece recently at Wembley a few of them were working away on a site in London, they hit up his dad in the hope of some tickets the night before knowing they'd be down there. Only gets them tickets in an hospitality area with free food stations etc... So the lads are doing a concrete pour and as is with concrete it's unpredictable what time you will finish due to traffic and deliveries etc... so it gets to about 2 hours before the match and they now know to go they couldn't go back to the hotel to get changed. So they chance it in their work gear, trainers and work jackets. Only let them in didnt they, there were photos doing the rounds on WhatsApp of all these suits etc.. looking over at our lads wondering what the fuck was going on whilst they smiled for photos with a table full of pints dressed in full PPE and looking like they'd done a day down the mines haha!!! Devil Posted December 15 Posted December 15 That was a poor Derby, I will take it but I don't think I've ever seen a side decline as fast as this city side. We were sitting ducks in that game and there was so little effort from them. Yet before the game I looked at their eleven and thought we are in trouble here. Quote

I told you it was bad right now we are the worse team in the league Quote

Major rebuild and improvement in a number of areas if you want to be dominant again. The killer question is will you get the transfers right and not slip into wasting money. Quote

Bruno G & Zubimendi are a must next month along with a CB, ST & RB/LB. our problems in attack may continue until the summer where we can target a top level replacement for KDB like Wirtz or someone at that level, will be hard to get the very best right now and if we don't get champions league football it will hinder the summer market too Players that need to go this summer:- Walker, Gundogan, Stones, KDB, Ederson, Nunes, Grealish & Bernardo Quote

It would Also take north of 100m to get him. I can see city scaling down and doing a rebuild for a season or two, lots of stale players who are also aging. Pep may start the process but someone else will take over for the long run Quote

It will take a Rice like offer to get him Quote
