Moderator Tommy Posted October 7, 2022 Author Moderator Posted October 7, 2022 The crossover nobody expected.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted October 7, 2022 Subscriber Posted October 7, 2022 Genuinely a pretty cool transfer from a neutral perspective and the best Alpine probably could have done. Gasly hasn't had his best year but if he can get back to his best form from either side of his Red Bull stint then he should really have enough to beat Ocon and become a team leader at one of the top half teams.
Moderator Tommy Posted October 8, 2022 Author Moderator Posted October 8, 2022 Happy to see Pierre finally getting out of that toxic Red Bull environment.

And go to Alpine, who can't stop showing how butthurt they are in any given media opportunity and talk down and blame their (former) drivers for something they fucked up themselves

Honestly surprised that he got the gig at Alpine after not being very convincing at Aston Martin.

OrangeKhrush Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 how unprofessional do you have to be to have a dig at a driver on your roster that is better than you long term driver and better than the one you are bringing in.

Moderator Tommy Posted October 8, 2022 Author Moderator Posted October 8, 2022 Also Netflix will have a field day with the Ocon/Gasly rivalry. They used to be friends as a kid but started to dislike each other at some point.
Panflute Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Some nice insights from the Dutch branch of motorsport.com: Max was apparently instrumental in Nyck's move to AlphaTauri, as the two drivers had dinner the evening after Monza, and Max urged Nyck to give Helmut Marko a call the next day about an AlphaTauri seat, and that's what got the ball rolling. Helmut Marko has stated that he expects Nyck de Vries, in spite of him being a rookie, to become AlphaTauri's team leader in his first season, which also tells you a lot about how Marko thinks of Tsunoda.
Moderator Tommy Posted November 1, 2022 Author Moderator Posted November 1, 2022 Could that mean that Hülkenberg really is on his way to Haas?
Moderator Tommy Posted December 13, 2022 Author Moderator Posted December 13, 2022 So within 24 hours we had. - Jost Capito leaving Williams. - Fred Vasseur leaving Alfa Romeo. - Fred Vasseur joining Ferrari as team principal. - Andreas Seidl leaving McLaren. - Andreas Seidl joining Sauber as CEO. - Andrea Stella joining McLaren as team principal. Pretty sure we'll have the Binotto to Williams announcement by tonight.
