Fortuna Düsseldorf Thread

Really? Japanese players also help us a lot with merchandise income. Düsseldorf has the biggest Japanese population in Germany, and I remember when we had Usami and Haraguchi, there were almost more Japanese than German people in the stadium. And of course always with lots of bags of merchandise in their hands!

And of course it's all the better if he's as promising as you say. :o

Where did you get that news from anyway? :o

I'm on a platform where you buy trading cards of players and enter them into tournaments to win prizes based on their real life performances, and Tanaka was one of the most expensive J League players on the platform, so it's massive news in the community.

That sounds good! :o Also I have never heard anything of that rumour in all the Fortuna platforms I'm on. So if it's true, I can be a "I told you so".

What is it? I can't watch with sound at this moment xD

We've signed Ao Tanaka from Kawasaki Frontale. Apparently one of the biggest talents in Japanese football. Heard that many Japanese fans are wondering why he didn't join a "bigger" club. Signing a Japanese player is always huge for Fortuna, because we have the biggest Japanese population in Germany. When we had Usami and Haraguchi, there were always hundreds of Japanese people in the stadium, with bags full of merchandise. So besides the obvious sporting positives, it'll also bring us heaps of income merchandise wise. :)

One year loan deal plus an option to make the signing permanent. :)

We have just signed Khaled Narey who last played for HSV. :o

Ugh, why? Thoroughly disappointing at HSV. He's quick, but other than that?

Sounds like another Hartherz. :52_fearful: But maybe he'll shine with us, who knows? He's most likely just a back-up for Zimmermann anyway. :52_fearful:

Now that I posted that, he's definitely going to score against us, isn't he? 😂

Hmm so you intend to play him as an RB?

I'll get the memes ready if that's the case! xD

They described him as an attacking right back in the transfer announcement, so I assume so. :o

Fortuna Düsseldorf fighting for Kevin Danso's return.

That would be an absolute sensational thing if we pull that off. But I'm really not getting my hopes up just yet.

Those full body scanners at the airport annoy the shit out of me 😂

I think I've only had to go through one once. Felt a bit weird. I remember then the tabloids called them "Nacktscanner" and everyone panicked. xD

Just booked tickets for our season opening friendly against Belgian team Leuven. First time in the stadium in 1 year and 4 months. Can't wait. Just have to get a Covid test the day before. :)

Second goal was better, but the keeper did look afraid of the ball xD

Where are they playing? It looks stunning.

Bad Leonfelden in Austria's Mühlviertler Hochland. The stadium is actually called Vortuna-Arena. xD
