They move from silhouette to GT3 spec cars, then we have a Jenson Button team (McLaren) and Keke Rosberg team competing, now it seems Red Bull will be backing a team as well... 1 Quote

nudge Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 So Ferrari confirmed their return to prototype endurance racing by announcing their LMH plans for 2023. That will be 50 years after their last official participation! 2023 Le Mans top class looks very tasty already: Toyota (LMH) Glickenhaus (LMH) Porsche (LMDh) Audi (LMDh) Peugeot (LMH) Ferrari (LMH) very fitting for a 100 Year Anniversary, hopefully more manufacturers will join too. Administrator Stan Posted March 15, 2021 Administrator Posted March 15, 2021 Just watched a documentary on Billy Monger and the crash he sustained, and the recovery thereafter. It's surreal what he achieved/achieves despite what happened to him. Talk about turning a negative in to a positive. Very heart-warming watching him talk through the journey since the crash. Inspirational. 1 Quote

Moderator Tommy Posted March 15, 2021 Moderator Posted March 15, 2021 Billy Monger is very inspirational and I have a huge respect for him. His life changed so drastically, and he mastered it better and so positively than most would have. Quote

Obviously we only get given the edited/specific bits of footage in the documentary but I have no reason not to believe the people closest to him when they say about how positive his attitude was from day one of the accident, even in the first few days of what he remembers in hospital. For such a young kid to have been racing all his life, then have that snatched away from him in an accident, and continue to be positive and make a difference to how the sport operates regarding disability and disabled participants is huge for anyone, let alone someone his age. Phenomenal individual. 1 Quote
