Obvious corner... anyway we need to win, that 2nd goal by the Netherlands might turn pivotal. Hopefully the Dutch go on a scoring spree against Ecuador as if we win this game, it would be nice to go into the last with the better goal differential...

If things go as expected Ecuador vs Senegal is going to be crazy...

Also turn and shoot..ugh..why lay a pass off

Senegal on the front foot a bit more. Qatar looking to hit on the counter but I don't think they will ever have the quality to execute it to get a goal.

Qatar player takes a shot at goal, but it clearly takes a deflection off the Senegalese defender, but the referee unbelievably gives a goal-kick.

Twice he's done that.

One for Qatar and one for Senegal earlier in the game.

What a waste of a chance. Afif went looking for the penalty. Should have just shot.

I've seen softer penalties given..

True, the one on Ronaldo yesterday a good example.

1-0 Senegal!

Mistake by the Qatar defender and Dia picks up on it to slam it home.

Bad mistake from the defender there gifted Senegal the scoring chance. The keeper had very little chance of stopping that.

Credit to Qatar though for not playing negatively. Ideally Senegal put 2 more past them..if it were any non African team I would be rooting for them to atleast score.

Hopefully the Dutch will be so obliged after they shore it up for the knockouts after they smack Ecuador lol..

Well, it's the African champions against the Asian champions, but Senegal had more of the possession in that 1st half. Qatar are doing what the other Asian sides have been doing, defending and seeking to counter. Only a blunder by their defender, cost them that goal in the 1st half. I have a feeling that Senegal will finish 2nd in the group.

That has to be game over now. 3-1. Good work by the right back for Senegal to make the opportunity.

Happy that Qatar got their goal but that's them done now.

I'm gonna assume Netherlands beat Ecuador which means it'll go down to a basically a playoff between Senegal/Ecuador for the 2nd spot.

At least that's one final game that'll have some bite to it and competitiveness. Some of the dead rubbers are gonna be horrible to watch.
