If it's true that Chelsea aren't going to be done because of selling hotels to themselves or whatnot then they need to abolish the rules and reinstate all the docked points immediately. But that's one of those things that's so stupid I wonder if I've just fallen for some bait on Twitter.

No it's true. One of Boehly's other companies bought a hotel off Chelsea for £70m. Apparently Chelsea can prove it's that valuable so it's fine and the whole conflict of interest/money laundering through a different company angle just isn't covered seemingly.

I'm not knocking Chelsea for doing this if that is the case, but again - just what is the point if you can bypass it with this sort of nonsense.

Boring that yet another topic has become about this but it's the inescapable bleak reality of this situation. I'm in a tough position on Leicester. I want to hold those responsible accountable for their utterly dreadful and irresponsible dealings, but I also think they're operating within utterly farcical parameters - particularly given the Chelsea case.

Vital win for Everton in the Merseyside derby, whilst Sheff Utd are resigned further to relegation despite scoring twice at Man Utd.

Everton host Brentford next and a win for either side (or a draw for Brentford) coupled with a Luton loss will mean that survival is ensured and they can now leave this subject matter well alone!

Two more survivors to add to the least, and the relegation battle is now whittled down to just 3 teams. Everton survive thanks to imperious home form, gaining 9pts and conceding 0. The latter of those 3 wins was beating Brentford, who also survived despite that defeat thanks to Luton losing at Wolves.

Sheff Utd can say bye to the Premier League and hello once again to the Championship as their relegation was confirmed after a resounding defeat (again) at Newcastle. They're on course to break all kinds of unwanted records.

The points deduction looms large over Nottm Forest - everyone hopes the decision can be sorted out before the end of the season. Especially as it could all boil down to their last game at home to Burnley to decide the final spot. Luton have a great chance to grab a win and 3 more valuable points at home to Everton on Friday night.

I still hope Luton can stay up, but how funny would it be for Burnley to stay up above them all. Looked dead and buried at one point, completely out of ideas, how have they got back into this?

Burnley have drawn their way back into contention. Fair play. I'd rather see Luton stay up now. Mostly because that's probably the weakest rival at the bottom of the table for next year.
