Administrator Stan Posted August 30, 2018 Administrator Share Posted August 30, 2018 can't they just swap it so Watford play at home?
Dave
Can't really see any issue with this or swapping the fixture.
Marc
I see a massive issue with it. Tottenham’s stadium delay shouldn’t cause Watford and their supporters problems. MK is about 50 miles away. Swap it to Watford is the only option.

Really won't effect Watford that much, Milton Keynes isn't that far away and it'd be roughly the same for them to either drive/train it to MK as it would for them to do the same into London. Plus the train from Watford Junction is direct to MK.
Administrator Stan Posted August 31, 2018 Administrator Share Posted August 31, 2018 yeah it's probably quicker for Watford to get to MK than it is to Spurs
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted August 31, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted August 31, 2018 If Spurs can't provide a ground on which to play on they shouldn't be entitled to home advantage. Don't see why they don't just forfeit the tie to be honest. Poch and Spurs are too big and successful for domestic trophies remember?
The Artful Dodger
Bit of a pisstake now, I thought there were rules about playing at more than two stadiums in a year? Play it at Watford or kick Spurs out, it's their own incompetence that's brought this about. Exiting the league cup early would be in their favour anyway. Getting kicked out of this caq competition. Maybe other clubs can try something similar... Arsenal can ask to play at Half White Lane.
