...Dan Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 on Rob Holding and Aaron Ramsey... The worst for us today was the news with Rob Holding. We are going to wait for what the doctor tells us but it is maybe a big injury. We are going to wait, it is his knee. The other is Aaron Ramsey, but it is a small injury with him. After the two injuries, every player played with good commitment and mentality to keep the performance [going] in a difficult moment and we could not control the game like we want for the 90 minutes, but the second half gives us confidence for this draw.
6666 Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 Some reports suggesting that Holding might be out for the season. Really hope that isn't anywhere close to the truth, has been our best defender since coming into the side.
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted December 7, 2018 Subscriber Posted December 7, 2018 Arsenal's Rob Holding ruled out for up to nine months with a knee injury 2 hours ago|Arsenal Arsenal center-back Rob Holding has been ruled out for up to nine months after he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on Wednesday. The 23-year-old suffered the injury in the Gunners' 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Holding had made 16 appearances for Unai Emery's side this season. "Rob will undergo surgery in the coming days and rehabilitation is expected to take between six to nine months," said an Arsenal statement. "Everyone at the club will now be working as hard as we can to ensure Rob is back on the pitch as soon as possible." "Gutted to get injured during a strong period for the team!" said Holding, who also added his thanks to "all the fans, players and staff members for the support during the past couple of days". Holding underwent tests in London following the collision with United's Marcus Rashford nine minutes before half-time. The injury is the latest defensive setback for Arsenal, who remain without centre-back Laurent Koscielny and left-back Nacho Monreal. The Gunners, who are unbeaten in their last 20 matches in all competitions, dropped down to fifth in the table after their 2-2 draw at Old Trafford. They host Huddersfield in the Premier League on Saturday. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46484368
6666 Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 Big shame for us and him. Was playing extremely well. With him out and us unable to call back Chambers, who's played well recently, must mean we'll be bringing in another CB. Only have Sokratis & Mustafi who are fully fit with Koscielny only just ready to come back from a long term injury and an inexperienced defender in Mavropanos who I think is still injured anyway.
SirBalon Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 It must be really bad if the timespan is measured at 9 months! . I hope they're being very conservative with that! He'll be sorely missed because he was cementing himself as the man at the back and the future was looking really good for him and obviously us in that sense as we've had defensive issues for years now. The main thing is that when Holding does eventually return, that he returns like he left which is as a firm candidate for that position for many years to come. The issue there though is that a club like Arsenal with all the troubles we've had probably (and rightly so) won't wait and will invest heavily in that area. Anyway, let's see and all one can do is wish him a speedy recovery.

And the rehabilitation he'll have to go through will be a real pain in the arse for him, probably the worst part of having a bad injury and needing surgery is the rehab. Hopefully he comes back just as strong as he was prior to this injury.
