Happy for him that he's settled relatively quickly.
Administrator Stan Posted February 2, 2019 Author Administrator Share Posted February 2, 2019 Valencia 1-0 up. Against the run of play. Looked like there should have been a free-kick on Messi at the other end shortly before. Good finish though.

Administrator Stan Posted February 2, 2019 Author Administrator Share Posted February 2, 2019 Penalty to Barcelona! Semedo fouled in the box after just getting to the ball before the defender. Clear as day.
Administrator Stan Posted February 2, 2019 Author Administrator Share Posted February 2, 2019 Messi scores! Low in to the bottom right corner. He actually scored just after Semedo was fouled with a curling shot from outside the box but ref had already blown for the foul. 1-2.

He didn't play too badly and you can see his confidence is slowly growing again, especially after his performance mid-week vs Sevilla in the cup. 2-2 was a fair result today, but I think today was a game for Valverde to start his strongest line-up and make less rotations than he did. You can see why though with El Clasico coming up in mid-week followed by a difficult away game against an improved Athletic club next weekend. The Artful Dodger
Messi is so clearly the best player of all the time. Its a shame he plays for such a hypocritical cunt of a club.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted February 3, 2019 Subscriber Share Posted February 3, 2019 Surprised at Atletico getting beat. Perfect chance to bring the title race back to life and instead they lose even more ground. Messi has been brilliant this season. I feel like he's influencing games more than ever.
