  1. Can't believe how much negative feedback this is getting. I'm the most cynical bastard of them all but I have to respect Mata for this because I don't believe he's the type to do something like this publicly to get more Instagram followers like some other players. People asking him to donate 10% as well, get real, no chance of getting other players on board with that whereas if you make it 1% other players that get on board might well end up paying at least 2% or 3%. Don't look at it as whether or not Mata deserves credit or not for giving up what is, for him, a pittance. Look at it as the guy trying to start a bit of a movement that could make a decent difference for a few charities.

  2. That isn't funny at all. Seeing is believing and most people don't see outside their bubble. What an incredibly cynical and assumptive point of view. You literally know nothing of Juan Mata and yet you sit on your high horse and judge him as transparent and phony. I'd wager his 1% per week is more than a lot of members on this forum combined have given to charity in their lives. I don't do fucking shit for charity but at least I don't sit behind my computer and lambast someone for doing something even if it is relatively small for what they are worth. As I said earlier the lack of statement regarding other charities doesn't mean he doesn't do other charity work. Even a toddler understands what object permanence is, just because it isn't seen doesn't mean it isn't there. Fucking complain about anything. If you were starving and given a loaf of bread you'd complain that it isn't two loaves.
