Not seeing what Olise and Eze could do when fully fit together fot a whole seaon is probably going to go down as one of the biggest what ifs in our clubs history. There was a period when Eze was returning to full fitness earlier in the season where we picked up one point in three against Luton, Brighton and Chelsea. Aside from that when they've started together it's been: Brentford - win Sheffield United - win Liverpool - win West Ham - win Newcastle - win Manchester United - win Wolves - win. If we beat Aston Villa, who will hopefully be on the beach by next weekend, we will equal our highest points total in The Premier League. After the Luton draw that was unthinkable given not many could see how we could get to 40 points. This is a major summer ahead again. Everybody should be after Michael Olise. Last summer I thought he was becoming a Mahrez-esque with his cutting inside in the final third, but the way his link up play and crossing has progressed he reminds me a little of De Bruyne. Ebere Eze is another one who you could see being moulded in to an 8 at a top club. The ideal situation would be that we just lose Marc Guehi. I say that because he hasn't signed a new contract and Glasner starting Clyne ahead of him yesterday raised a lot of eyebrows. There's a left footed centre back that's out of contract at Wolfsburg has worked with previously that seems like a straight forward replacement. The new financial spending limits coming in hopefully negates the pressure to sell our highest value players.

I think they'll have a shelf life if the cards don't improve. All people talk about with these shows is the crowd. With The Bloodline and CM Punk parked there doesn't feel like there's much going on.

It should be an interesting clash of styles in these matches. Whilst the Leeds/Norwich has some fantastic individuals on both sides that should decide who goes through, the West Brom/Southampton pairing feels like it could be a tactical and more methodical tie which could be decided on which manager gets it right.

I'd fancy Bolton to win this one. They're definitely the better team on paper and I'd fancy them to stay up in The Championship without having to make massive changes.

Crawley have been excellent over the two legs. Hats off to everybody at the club. The Crypto nerds recieved huge criticism from all directions for there methods last season but theyve seemingly learned from the critics, overhauled the team and this season its paid off. They're in a unique position where I worry for them if they go up but I'd worry for them if they don't go up too as whatever divison they're in they could lose a lot of key players. Liam Kelly's reminded everybody why Jaap Stam fell in love with him, Corey Addai has outperformed his Xgc by 18 goals and is out of contract, Lolos is at an age where he could be sold for a decent profit, Danilo Orsi will attract interest with 24 goals and the manager has arguably had a better year in the EFL than Kieron McKenna. Either way, I'll be going to Wembley to cheer them on and look forward to it.

Surprised Isak made the shortlist given the amount of football he's missed. I can only assume Van Dijk made the shortlist to stop Liverpool fans being outraged that all there players have been overlooked. Saliba and Gabriel have been far better in that position.

I think that was my favourite night at Selhurst Park. To beat Manchester United 4-0 given everything they represent, regardless of how good they are at present, is a special feeling. It almost doesn't feel real how good we are as a team when Eze and Olise play with each other.

A great week to have my lowest OR of the season. The last eight games is what's done me in. I gambled on Championship teams not making it to the quarters of the FA Cup once the round of sixteen was drawn so used two boosts early. Next season should be more interesting. Hopefully with less FA Cup replays we will have less double gameweeks and boost strategies will be all over the place.

Quite strange to think they just left the youngest team in The Championship without a manager from when this thread was created in mid-February. They went from being six points off the playoffs to finishing seventeen behind.

Well what a job he's done. A 13th place finish and conceded in single digits. Pretty unthinkable when you think where they were before he came in. Pretty hard done by not to have won MOTM in April when you think of the improvement they had under him.

To put in context how good Leeds United have been, the season when we were all saying "How is this Hull team sleepwalking in to 2nd this season?", they finished on 77 points.

History suggests with Sheffield United, Southampton and Norwich that they should. Its not as if Bournemouth, Wolves and Fulham have set an incredibly high bench mark on what's needed to compete for a top half finish in modern day football. I guess they'll need to get the balance right with the recruitment so they add quality but don't disrupt dressing room harmony. Funnily enough I was giving Gary Neville's podcast a listen the other day and back in October he did an interview with Craig Bellamy. Neville asked Bellamy if Burnley would adapt there style if results didn't improve, and Bellamy stated its not the style that's the problem, it's how quick they are to regroup that's letting them down as there's too many pockets for teams to exploit. So it's something they've been working on for some time and just haven't nailed it

Just read that Nicolas Jackson has scored more non-penalty goals than Cole Palmer. Maybe he should have taken the penalty against Everton.

It's a fantastic achievement. If you don't know anything about them keep an eye out for Leif Davis. I imagine all the FPL content creators will be jerking over him once they read up on his 'underlying numbers'. Wes Burns has something about him too. My big worry for them is I see a lot of parallels between them and Vincent Kompany's Burnley. They're impressive going forwards, everyone buys in to the manager, but defensively I'm not sure if the center backs and Hladcky are going to be good enough. Then there's players like Morsy, Luongo, Chaplin who have spent there career being low Championship / very good League One players playing in a system that gets the best out of them that may also struggle. Hopefully if it is one season and down they look at what Luton have done and set themselves up in a good position where, even if relegated, the long term prospects of the club look healthy.

End to what has been an enjoyable season. Birmingham will be kicking themselves that they've gone down on 50 points but at least they have owners who you'd have faith in to continue to take the club forwards. Under previous regimes you'd worry for them. I'd fancy them to come up at the first attempt and I'd fancy Rotherham to be competitive with Steve Evans as Manager. Huddersfield I have no idea about as, based on there managers quotes this week, that club seems to be disarray at all levels and a major overhaul appears needed. As for the sides that stayed up today, you'd feel that any celebrations will be kept to a minimum. Blackburn's cash flow appears to be a long term concern, Danny Rohl will be on shortlists after the job hes done at Wednesday and Plymouth really need to get the next managerial appointment right whilst strengthening the squad. Given Portsmouth, Derby and (presumably) Bolton look suitably equipped to compete at this level it wouldnt surprise if all three teams feature down the bottom of predictions come August. The playoffs feel a bit underwhelming for a neutral as its scattered with teams that have been in The Premiership recently. At least if Hull had made the playoffs there would be a team there that's been away from The Premiership long enough that and been through enough rebuilds that the stench from the last time they were up isn't there any more. A side of me from a competitive aspect wants 'anyone but Leeds' to win the playoffs as I believe with the attacking threat and loan returnees that Leeds would have the best chance of survival out of all Championship teams next season. Leicester's reported financial issues you'd imagine will restrict them from potentially competing for a top half finish to a lets just survive next season objective, whilst i see a lot of similarities with this Ipswich team and Vincent Kompany's Burnley. Oh, and one thing, we cannot underestimate any more what an incredible achievement it was for a Reading side built on what was tight budget for naughties standards to get 106 points. The Leicester starting XI on paper is one of the best to enter The Championship with Newcastle in 2010 and Nuno's Wolves and even they missed out on breaking the record with six games to go.

Goalies feigning injury because they know theyll get treated on the pitch is a loophole that needs closing next season. Bernd Leno did something similar against us on Saturday. He went down and made such a fuss I thought he had dislocated his shoulder. He got treatment for two minutes, Marco Silva had a team talk with his players, Fulham changed their shape and we lost our momentum. I've noticed Wolves in particular being really bad at doing this in the second half this season. The Coventry quarter final being the most blatant. Quite ironic given how vocal O'Neil was about Brentford slowing down play with stoppages.
