  1. It's for the best. Whilst the lack of faith in young players and style of football is frustrating, it has been effective for the previous two and a half years. We are going to enter a forced period of transition over the next year so keeping an effective stable backroom team is crucial to ensure we remain out the bottom three
  2. Whilst the Champions League football would be of interest, he wouldnt hire Pini Zahavi with the ambition to end up at Leicester City. Plus, you didn't get to the dance by spending a lot of money on 27 year olds. You could, and probably will, sign three players for the price that will be useful to your team. Everton would be more appealing than last summer under Carlo Ancelotti. If they finish in a European position I can see him pushing for it. I read they may be under Hirving Lozano but given hes at Napoli that could br lazy journalism. I can't see Liverpool or Man City paying the fee for a squad player, Arsenal have too many options in his position, Levy's negotiation strategy wouldnt be considered, he would fit in at Chelsea but I imagine he wouldnt be their first target, Bayern's loan offers can do one. Manchester United would be the best fit. The front three of Rashford, Martial and Zaha with Bruno behind pulling the strings like a puppet master would set them up for ages. Unfortunately nobody really knows how dark the cloud is he left under.
  3. I think we will settle around 60 million. We will push for north of that as Manchester United have a sell on fee of around 20%, hes a very influential player and the money is needed for rebuilding an ageing squad. The player quite clearly wants out. You dont acquire the services of Pini Zahavi for any other reason. What works in his favour is a lot of the top teams will want an offensive wide player. They just wont want to pay our asking price. I can see bids coming in around 40 million, wanting around 80 million, transfer requests coming in and it all getting very messy. The whole "look at his attacking returns!1!" arguement is pretty redundant. He plays for one of the least offensive teams in Europe, the strikers he supplies are poor at this level, and the amount of times hes fouled in the last third is there for all to see.
  4. No worries. Glad it worked. I thought AEW Revolution was a good show. I was surprised to see Cody take a L but that could really help MJF. That said, I think some of the reviews have gone a little overboard in their praise. The tag team match was great but I dont think it's the greatest tag team match of all time. Most people were complaining about Hager's wife (who was clearly in on it) being kissed about Dustin. When people have had to turn in to absolute quilts to complain about that you know you've had a good show. The problem I have with Jim Cornette is that when he does have a good point he has to go way overboard. His twitter arguement with Austin Aries was one of my favourites as I pictured it with their voices I have no idea why anybody would order a Cornette Club certificate but I would rather listen to him over JD and others who have no experience in the business, claim to hate a product, and then devote 7+ hours watching and god knows how many hours talking about it. What's more disturbing is the "stans" that follow people like that.
  5. What's this about beef between Bruce and Saint-Maximin?
  6. I genuinely cannot believe what WWE have done tonight. That's me done with Smackdown.
  7. I've never used it but the big reliable one everybody talks about is www.allwrestling.live
  8. Watched the end of Travellers earlier today. Must say after a very good first series, and a very good end to the second series, I found the way they ended it all as very underwhelming. There wasnt really anything clever about it and it felt like a lot of the story became a waste of time. If you want to watch a Netflix series, go for Ozark.
  9. I felt it was like your standard BBC series. When you break it down, a lot of the scenes were just filler scenes with no purpose and the ending was a draped.
  10. It's been a running joke since about 2015 amongst my friends that The Bella Twins would get in to the Hall Of Fame before The Undertaker, Brian Pillman, The Rock, British Bulldog etc I'm not even remotely surprised that it's happening.
  11. Of all the series I have watched in the last couple of months... Jack Ryan is a must watch. Power is good if you have the time to power through it Ozark is very good. Well worth catching up before season three. Friday Night Dinner as a comedy gets better. Enjoyed the first season of Travellers. I'd avoid The Stranger, You, The Messiah and The OA. All showed promise at points but overall was left underwhelmed.
  12. They bought in Jeff Cobb this week. They're heavily linked with Archer, Cage and Harper. That's a lot of big meat potentially heading to Jacksonville.
  13. On a side note. I didnt recognise that Brentford got Baptiste and Fosu- Henry from Oxford. Fosu-Henry is an interesting case. Never really understood why Charlton didnt keep him. Something must have gone on there as he always looked like one of their better players in the highlight shows. Baptiste looks like he could be some player. Hes got a battle on his hands to become a first team regular but once he emerges I reckon he could be a future PL regular. One day we will build to the future with players like this.
  14. He was linked to Brentford. We tried to work something out with Ollie Watkins and him but Brentford rejected our advances. We ended up sending him to Trabszonspor on loan with a buy clause around €6 million. Hes being linked with clubs now for €15 million so Trabszonspor are likely to buy him and sell him on for a profit immediately. The biggest kick in the teeth is we paid £12 million for him.
  15. Turns out that Matthew Benham's Xg philosophy with Sorloth is absolutely spot on. Not remotely surprised. He was twice the player against Chelsea and Spurs than he was a year a later against Grimsby. Apparently Genk have a six million buy clause and Monaco have a fifthteen million offer on the table. Sorloth was asked about Crystal Palace and he said "I don't care what Roy Hodsgon thinks of me". Speaks volumes really.
  16. I think Haaland's place of birth has been mentioned at least 5000 times since FM19.
  17. X-Pac Heat is basically 'Go Away Heat'. Triple H had it in Evolution when he was Champion forever, John Cena had it almost a decade, JBL had it when he first became a Champion, Roman Reigns had it until he was diagnosed with leukaemia, Baron Corbin has had it most his career. When I see people going on about how MJF is a far better heel than Baron Corbin and Baron Corbin should just go away, they're missing the point. That's exactly what WWE want them to think. WWE get that no matter how heavy people boo now, these people will be looked back fondly in 10+ years from now. People on Twitter have started going on about how great 2009, 2010 etc was and how much better those days were. I just sit there remembering what the internet was like back then and how everybody thought WWE sucked. I will say only WWE can get away with it in America given how established they are. AEW seem to be trying it with Brandi Rhodes and I dont think they're in a position to do so.
  18. I thought the Rumble was well written with Brock Lesnar. Every elimination had a purpose and he sold The Claymore Kick. I didnt think they'd pull the trigger on Drew but I'm glad they have. Charlotte winning wasnt ideal but I'm prepared to be patient and see how they progress this. Winning the Rumble gives her more heat. X-Pac Heat has pretty much been considered a good thing since, well, X-Pac.
  19. So an update on this graph: Two players under 28 have gone. Roy Hodgson wanted 4 or 5 more players. We have been left with one player less. We need a new owner fast. I'm surprised Roy is putting up with this. 20 out of the 24 Chanpionship clubs have spent more than us in the last four transfer windows.
  20. The Gentlemen 9.5/10 If you like Snatch, Lock Stock etc you'll really like this. Set in modern Britain. It's got a good story balanced with very good acting and good humour. The year has started very strong with this and 1917.
  21. A creative, adventurous attacking midfielder. We'll knock that out of him.
