  1. What on earth must the girl sitting beside him be thinking.
  2. He's not, but marking zonal for set pieces has failed at three clubs now and his stubborn attitude to change will be his downfall.
  3. I think NXT will, and should, lose Johny Gargano, Tomasso Ciampa, Velveteen Dream, Aleister Black and Shayna Baszler as an absolute minimum in the next couple of months. I would be in favour of Undisputed Era going too if they hadn't been booked so shitty for their talent. It's a developmental brand after all. They still have the likes of Matt Riddle, Ricochet, Keith Lee and War Raiders around to carry the mantle in to the next calender year. What's depleted them is how WWE have panic called up a load of people who still would have benefited with another year at least on the NXT brand. EC3 being the notable example, he hasn't really had any noteworthy contributions to NXT, but could have been a major player a long with Ricochet and Matt Riddle after the next wave of call ups. Lacey Evans may be talented but she has displayed nothing in NXT to suggest she will be anything other than a jobber. Then there's Otis will now be nothing more than a modern day Festus. As for NXT Takeover last night I thought the show got progressively worse as it went on. War Raiders against UE set the pace for what looked like a classic Takeover, Johnny and Ricochet put on a classic and then we had the final two matches which weren't as good. The ending unless there's a surprise this evening was all a bit weird.
  4. I'm pretty sure Finn Balor is just there to temporarily appease people. Unless it's on last. Then I'm really excited. I just hope to God that Rollins puts an end to this Brock Lesnar as Champion experiment in March. It is so boring watching the men on Raw knowing they're effectively fighting for nothing.
  5. ITV made a mistake there I reckon. They had a real good chance to set precedent with their new tv deal here and they've missed it.
  6. Wrestle Kingdom delivered. All Elite Wrestling is confirmed. How do WWE respond? They exploit the death of Mean Gene Okerlund as a chance to bring Hulk Hogan back to Raw. You honestly couldn't make it up.
  7. Went skiing and snowboarding in Val De Saire as part of a Club Med holiday. Club Med branches in the UK couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery but the entertainment staff at their hotels save them big time. The snow was perfect for a week too. Pretty sure I won over about 20 overseas Palace fans too during the Manchester City game. There was an absolute tit in his early 20s before the game bragging about their bench before kick off. Type of fan that supported Chelsea 5 years ago but supports Citeh with a London accent. Im quite reserved watching Palace ever since the FA Cup final but he really hit a nerve. He walked off shortly after Luka scored.
  8. Just finished reading The Secret Footballer : Access All Areas. Dave Kitson sure doesn't like a lot of his ex managers. His bitterness that comes out in the book at times gives it away very heavily that it's him. The most interesting thing to come out the book could be Callum O'Dowda's career development.
  9. Managed to watch Raw to see what was going to happen on THE BIG SHAKE UP!... and nothing changed at all. If they really think Baron Corbin is the reason why Raw is flat they need there heads checking. The show is poor because of the mess they've made with the main event over the course of 2 years.
  10. Ok. Without spoiling too much... - The kick off choice matches surprised me. - Mixed Match Challenge was completely pointless. - Hopefully that's the end of New Day / Usos / The Bar. Very good chemistry but in need of a new team. - The Baron Corbin stuff was as good as we could have hoped for given the circumstances. - I quite like the heat Ruby Riot has been getting. - Nia Jax had the confrontation we all wanted. - I'm very impressed with the way they have killed any momentum Dean Ambrose has gained since 2012. - I still can't get behind Daniel Bryan as a heel. He comes across like a sex offender. - Very surprised about four of the matches but I'm ok with all of them.
  11. Agree with most of that. I imagine there's lots of matches because they're planning to have Nia Jax, Baron Corbin etc have really short matches in case the crowd turn on everybody. One thing I hope (which probably won't happen) is they let Drew Mc Intyre and Finn Balor have a long and very good match as it will do both of them the world of good when Raw is really crying out for people's to stand out. Oh, and Rollins drop the intercontinental title so he can go after the world title I can't imagine Jeff Jarrett having a play in proceedings on Monday but I imagine it will concern Baron Corbin. I hope they don't split the roster up. Partly because I enjoy the set up on Smackdown and partly because I think anybody moving over from Smackdown will get lost due to Raws obsession with larger than life men being in the spotlight.
  12. TLC tonight. Some odd choices for the match stipulations. Not expecting much given how many matches there are and how terrible the booking has been leading up to this show. Vince on Raw on Monday creates a potentially interesting dynamic though.
  13. Pretty much how Bret described him in his autobiography and they were pretty tight throughout their careers. He looked ahead of his time in terms of ability though. A bit like how Shawn Michaels was quicker and eccentric than everybody else in the early to mid nineties.
  14. Yep, I'm pretty adamant that and the fact David Gill was leaving were two key factors in his decision to retire.

    Darts

Darts is a enjoyable watch if you have money on it. Just like horse racing. Without money I find it a bore. They've done a great job with creating the atmosphere in recent years. As Smiley has alluded too though, the pendulum is swinging a bit too far and it's attracting the wrong sort of idiots.
  16. Man City unbeaten after eleven games but still trail Arsenal in the WSL.
  17. The gap on quality from them abd the rest makes it difficult to tell.
  18. Ten days ago Liverpool and Everton fans were making out that nobody cares about The Merseyside Derby any more. Now they can't keep their hands off each other.
  19. It has been noted that none of you follow @tf365official on Twitter.
  20. Ajax two points off PSV at the moment. If PSV don't win the league it would he rather amazing given how relentless they started.
  21. The Dynamite Kid has passed away
  22. Ah, forgot to put my views on Survivor Series out there. I'd give it a 7/10. - Fans are very predictable. They only seem to get behind a woman when she violently beat someone. - I can't believe they preach about being anti bullying then they'd have a grown man piss himself. - The Daniel Bryan / Brock Lesner stuff just felt weird now Bryan's turned all dark. - I can get behind Strowman destroying everybody, but it was weird seeing two recent TNA guys come across like they're on top of the mountain together. - The Cruiserweights are a great way to break up a PPV. - I'm glad they let Rollins and Nakamura have freedom to put on a good match. - Nia Jax blowing her knuckles and then smiling was a good way to get heat the first time but after about the sixth time she just showed how dull and unimaginative she is.
  23. And just like that, they lost their first game of the season.
